Bill White as Extended Phenotype

There is hardly a more self-destructive target for white nationalists than a jury foreman.

Jury nullification is one of the most potent tools in the patriot’s toolbox—hence it is high on the target list of our enemies.

When Bill White goes after a jury foreman, he is creating a situation in which going after jurors who stand with white nationalists is simply “tit for tat”.  After all, if “white nationalists” don’t respect the foundation of common law citizen sovereignty—the jury—then they don’t deserve the protection of the jury via jury nullification, right?

It is infuriating when the SPLC is able to pack a jury—particularly selecting its foreman.  But the target should never be a juror—not even a juror who is an SPLC agent.

Obama in Philly

The Philadelphia Daily News, a struggling tabloid owned by the Catholic, former Bush publicist Brian Tierney, has managed to inform its - as Bo and Stanley would say - diverse white American readership that they or their cousins are “crackers”.  Here’s the offending extract from John Baer’s column on Tuesday:-

I think McCain’s camp is banking on Pennsylvania’s “cracker factor.”

I think the campaign believes the Democratic view - expressed by Ed Rendell last winter and Jack Murtha last week (and James Carville 22 years ago) - that there are racist tendencies among Pennsylvania voters.

Think about it.

Rendell in February said, “There are some whites who are probably not ready to vote for an African-American candidate.”

He even put a point spread on it, saying that being black in Pennsylvania costs a candidate 5 percentage points.

Murtha, a veteran Johnstown congressman, last week said, “There’s no question that western Pennsylvania is a racist area.”

He put the black penalty at 4 percentage points.

These guys are among the state’s most successful, longest- serving politicians: Rendell has been in office 22 years and is a former national party chairman; Murtha has been in Congress 34 years.

(Carville in 1986 famously said everything between Philly and Pittsburgh is “Alabama without black people,” which today insults Alabama; it has four times more black elected officials than Pennsylvania, according to U.S. Census data.)

So, if you take the most recent polling - an Allentown Morning Call poll Sunday is reflective of others and puts Obama 12 points up, 52-40 - I figure McCain’s folks figure, well, heck, that’s really only 7 points and since most polls have a 3-point margin of error, maybe just 4 points, and that puts us right in the game.

Meanwhile, McCain’s campaign, in TV ads and on the stump, is calling Obama’s tax- cut proposal a “government handout” and “welfare.” McCain yesterday said it’s “just another government giveaway.”

Whom do you think that’s aimed at?

Oh, I don’t know, maybe lower-income, less-educated white voters for whom “welfare” and “government giveaway” means black people?

So how did that go down?  Do Bo and Stanley have a point?  A considerable majority of the 294 comments says they do.  Here is a selection of the later ones:-

Nature on sociobiology and god

The leading weekly science journal Nature has taken it upon itself to publish a series of articles on what science has to say about being human.  The first contribution, published this week, is on religion, and I am going to quote a little from it.

First, though, here is a quote from the editorial that announced the series.  It talks about the difficulties for evolutionary scientists of:-

… being objective about a topic as philosophically, politically and ethically charged as human nature. Take the sociobiology wars of the 1970s and 1980s. Left-wing scholars rejected biological explanations for phenomena such as gender roles, religion, homosexuality and xenophobia, largely because they feared such explanations would be used to justify a continuation of existing inequalities on genetic grounds. The resulting debates became hugely political.

The combustibility of the interface between science and society is one major reason for the extraordinary fragmentation of research that tackles human behaviour. In part because of the sociobiology battle, most social scientists still steer clear of using evolutionary hypotheses. And even researchers who do work under the unifying framework of evolution tend to fall into distinct camps such as gene–culture co-evolution or human behavioural ecology — their practitioners divided by differences of opinion on, say, the relative importance of culture versus genes.

Alright, this guy - obviously an eminent science writer - can’t say that the “sociobiology wars” were really an ethnically-motivated attack on good science by Jewish race warriors.  We understand that he has to have a job to go to tomorrow morning.

But I was quite amazed that, in this genomic age, it is still necessary to call those monsters “scholars” and to portray their motives as “fear” of justifying inequalities.  Why so?  Gould and Co agitated for anti-science.  If, on the contrary, sociobiology had demonstrated some aspect of human nature in a way favourable to Jewish ethnic interests, they would have been praising it from the rooftops.  They were liars.  They were wrong.  They were divisive.  They were destructive to careers.

Can’t the editor of Nature plainly state that anti-science is not what is expected of supposed men of science?  In the very next paragraph he regrets the damage done by these creatures.  He could call for an end to fear, an end to division.  But he doesn’t.

Lebensraum and Improving the Racial Stock, 21st century style

The dominant ideology in the western nations is built around multi-racialism or anti-racism.  But its permissiveness towards white ethnic cleansing carries echoes of its philosophical opposite, Nazism. The motive - for this can only be intentional - is to push “whites” out of their communities, and that is against democratic principles and the rule of law.

More than 50 million African workers are being brought to Europe in a secret immigration agreement. This is on a scale of evil comparable to the herding of Jewish people into gas chambers, which we are constantly told is the greatest crime in history.  It is intended to destroy a people: the whole of western Europe’s native people, and it has been implemented by the evil E.U. This ideology is totalitarian with only one viewpoint allowed. It is very intolerant of any complaint about the cruelty and injustice of it and brands dissidents as “haters”, “bigots”, “fascists” or “Nazis.” It is implemented by deceit and often in secret.

A “job centre” funded by money confiscated from Europe’s tax-payers has been opened in Mali, and is hailed as the beginning of “free movement of people in Africa and the EU”. The report is from the EU statistical agency Eurostat. It rationalises that vast numbers of migrants could be needed to meet the shortfall in two years if Europe is to have a hope of funding the pension and health needs of its growing elderly population. EU economists in Britain and other EU states will “need” 56 million immigrant workers between them by 2050 to make up for the “demographic decline” due to falling birth rates and rising death rates across Europe.

That is a lie! If the Civil Service Pensions and in particular parliamentary pensions were scaled down to sensible levels more in line with every other pensioner receiving a pension from HM Government there would be greater equality after retirement. People are paid for doing a job while they are doing it. But I don’t see why the taxpayer should be required to fund a pension which equates to a job when they have left. I know that parts of the private sector do that, but that is private and driven by profits. It is entirely different. Moreover, If we were not transferring billions of pounds in Aid to elites in the Third World, and billions as UK subscriptions to the UN and the EU, we might well be able to give our people a better pension.

The elites and Homer Simpson

I’ve been wondering how the unprecedented debacle in the money business impacts upon the theory of an imperiously capable global elite.  How does one explain that where there were five organisations in America bearing the prestigious title “investment bank”, now there are none?  Not even Goldman Sachs has hung on to its former status, notwithstanding its long tradition of planting its senior executives in the executive.  How did the Masters of the Universe get things so fundamentally, spectacularly wrong? 

Of course, the completely staggering quantities of public money that have been committed across the world to stave off further collapse could be said to argue for the political power of the banking elites.  Or they could if the end result had not been the hugely embarrassing nationalisation of some very old names.

I admit to being puzzled.  Are we to model a system where Lazard et Freres conspired, while the rest played their juvenile games with money they did not have, and only went to Bilderberg, Davos and the Grove to add to their collection of hotel towels?

Anybody care to explain?

Jörg Haider killed in car crash

Only two weeks after the Austrian electorate put Jörg Haider back on the national stage, he is reported to have died in a car crash near his home town of Klagenfurt:-

Mr Haider, 58, who earned worldwide notoriety for making statements sympathetic to Hitler’s Nazi regime, suffered fatal head and chest injuries after the car he was driving plunged down an embankment near his home town of Klagenfurt.

Detectives are still investigating the cause of the crash, but said he was driving alone at the time in a government-owned vehicle.

The death of Mr Haider, who was governor of Carinthia province in southern Austria, comes less than a fortnight after a major resurgence in the far right’s political support in the country, riding on a wave of anti-immigrant and anti-European Union sentiment.

At parliamentary elections last month, Mr Haider’s Alliance for the Future of Austria polled 11 per cent of the vote, while the similarly-aligned Freedom Party, which Mr Haider founded but then split from, polled 18 per cent. The results meant nearly in three Austrians had voiced support for far-right movements, dismaying the country’s liberal politicians.

Mr Haider’s death may prompt concerns that political support will pass from him to the current Freedom Party leader, Heinz-Christian Strache, who is seen as a much more hardline figure. Mr Haider was originally Mr Strache’s political mentor, but the two fell out as Mr Haider chose to pursue more moderate policies in recent years.

Mr Haider’s spokesman, Stefan Petzner, said that he had been heading to a town near Klagenfurt for a gathering of his family to mark his mother’s 90th birthday.

“This is for us like the end of the world,” he added.

Born in Upper Austria, Mr Haider’s father was a former member of Hitler’s brown-shirted storm troopers, while his mother was a teacher who had been a Hitler Youth leader. Involved in politics since his teenage years, he caused an international outcry with a series of remarks where he appeared to imply an admiration for the Nazi era.

He once compared the employment policies of Austria’s government with the “proper labour policies” of Adolf Hitler’s Nazi Germany, and on another occasion he referred to Nazi concentration camps as “penal camps” rather than death camps.

Visits to see despots such as Saddam Hussein in Iraq and Colonel Gaddafi in Libya heightened his image as a pariah politician.

Such was the opprobrium he earned among fellow European statesmen that when the Freedom Party entered into a coalition government with the conservative People’s Party in 2000, it triggered temporary European Union sanctions against Austria.

The coalition deal then fell apart, leading to an early election in 2002 in which the Freedom Party lost heavily, followed by a remake of the coalition.

Mr Haider then formed the breakaway Alliance for the Future of Austria in 2005, courting greater public acceptance by pursuing more moderate policies, but in a national election in 2006, the Alliance only just scraped past the 4 percent threshold to enter parliament.

Mr Haider is survived by his wife and two daughters.

An Affirmative Action President?

The intelligence of presidential candidates and presidents is the topic of discussion during and after elections. And, it seems that the Left is more enamored with this question than the Right—the same people who deny that intelligence has any real meaning and that if we just got to know people they would all show the same cognitive abilities, but in diverse ways. “We are all equally smart” they will submit.

Along comes Sarah Palin, a nobody, according to the Left, but a popular governor in the eyes of Alaskans. They declare that she is “stupid” because she has not travelled outside of North America, she could not name Supreme Court decisions, and many of her interview questions seemed rehearsed, etc. Are these adequate criteria to formulate how intelligent a person is? I for one read a lot of books where court discussions are discussed, and I will remember the results while forgetting the name of the court decision. Not all intelligent people like travelling, especially those perhaps who enjoy outdoor sports. And of course she has had to be coached; her focus over the last two years has been on Alaskan issues, far away from the Washington scene. But as I suspect she is in fact quite intelligent, at least intelligent enough to be president where ideology is more important than raw intelligence. After all, she would be surrounded by advisors and experts, and her learning curve would be steep.

German law colonising the Danish legal system too

… so said the the Copenhagen newspaper Politiken, 7th October 2008.

This is a day which will be remembered as the day on which Denmark continued where it stopped in its tracks before at August 29 1943, the day where the Danish government’s collaboration with the German occupiers during WWII made way for protest and the quizling government stepped down.

Now again the Danish justice department sacrificed Danish justice and practice, and delivered its own citizens into the hands of the heirs of the Third Reich and the mockery of justice in their kangaroo courts. No wonder: while some small time collaborators were executed after the war, the members of the quizling government continued to govern the country after the occupation ended.

While in Britain quit a public debate has been stirred up in the controversy following the arrest of Dr. Fredrick Töben, in which several main stream politicians such as Nigel Farage and Chris Huhne have expressed their concerns about the undermining of the British legal system and the civil rights of British citizens in favor of totalitarian EU dictates, the treacherous Danish justice department bends over backwards and extradites its own citizens in order to accommodate the demands of Germany’s thought control judiciary.

While large parts of the British press express their concerns about the consequences of extraditing people from their own country for something which is not illegal there, the Danish press has done what it could in order not to debate the principles involved, and has maintained a virtual radio silence on the subject. Until today where two newspapers announced the decision of the Danish justice department, without any further discussion about the consequences.

Nick Nightingale writes a letter

Today the Telegraph ran a mad Marxist horror story on an ambitious attempt by the equality tzars to control our tongues:-

Publishers and universities are outlawing dozens of seemingly innocuous words in case they cause offence.

Banned phrases on the list, which was originally drawn up by sociologists, include Old Masters, which has been used for centuries to refer to great painters - almost all of whom were in fact male.

It is claimed that the term discriminates against women and should be replaced by “classic artists”.

The list of banned words was written by the British Sociological Association, whose members include dozens of professors, lecturers and researchers.

The list of allegedly racist words includes immigrants, developing nations and black, while so-called “disablist” terms include patient, the elderly and special needs.

It comes after one council outlawed the allegedly sexist phrase “man on the street”, and another banned staff from saying “brainstorm” in case it offended people with epilepsy.

However the list of “sensitive” language is said by critics to amount to unwarranted censorship and wrongly assume that people are offended by words that have been in use for years.

Well, I’ve had a look at the website of the theologically marxoid British Sociological Association, and found three lists of “Words That Must Never Again Pass Our Sinful Lips”.  Anyone who wants a good laugh can sample these links (at least one of which dates back to 2004, not that you would know it from the Telegraph report): Sex and Gender; Ethnicity and Race, Non-Disablist.

However, this encounter with a malignant academic tumour was but the first of my day.  A little later I came across something called The Anti-Racist Toolkit, a basis, apparently, for “building the Anti-Racist HEI” (High Educational Institution).  It’s dated 2002, and formed the centre-piece of a post-Lawrence Enquiry investigation of Institutional Racism.  It was conceived by three Leeds University sociologists: Laura Turney, Ian Law & Debbie Phillips.  It ventures onto some familiar ground for MR readers:-

Unpicking ‘Whiteness’
For many HEIs, the ‘whiteness’ of the institution goes unnoticed and is simply rationalised into a day-to-day perception of ‘normality’. The research we undertook at the University of Leeds indicated, however, that when forced to identify the ‘face’ of the institution, many people working there described it (with reference to staff) as not only predominantly white, but also predominantly white and male. For the most part, however, people don’t really notice the ‘whiteness’ of an institution and the implications that this normative whiteness has for those staff and students working and studying there. What is more, people tend to over-estimate the numbers of Black and minority ethnic people working and studying in a place and assume that equality policies of any kind work primarily in favour of Black and minority ethnic people, women and disabled candidates (both staff and students). In this way the whiteness of an institution is ignored and downplayed.

... It is only recently that the study of ‘race’, ethnicity and culture has also begun to specifically address questions of whiteness. The study of whiteness has been important for this project for a number of reasons, primarily because the acknowledgement or identification of ‘whiteness’ becomes a way of making unstable its position as the normalised, central space from which ‘others’ (racialised, ethnicised, etc, groups) are differentiated.

The BBC’s favourite race-denier of the 1990s says negrification is utopia

A decade or so ago, one of the frequent frustrations of my life as a school-run parent was catching Steve Jones, a geneticist who has specialised in Bosnian snails, on Radio 4’s Today programme. The BBC of the 90s had a particularly strong penchant for race denial, and here was an “expert” geneticist who talked the mitochondrial talk, and gave them what they wanted to hear.

It wasn’t what I, sitting in my car, wanted to hear.  But it was to bury the “racism” and “oppression” of people like me - white people, in other words - that the whole charade was played out.  And pretty much played out it is, now, in the era of micro-array analysis.  But that doesn’t stop Steve Jones from splurging his same old nonsense at us, when he’s given the chance.  Today the Telegraph has done just that.

Jones’s headline argument is that there are not enough older fathers to drive the evolutionary process in European Man - older fathers being the key producers of genetic mutation in their spermatazoa.  Somewhere along the line the confused Telegraph sub-eds have widened the claim to a complete halting of the process in Mankind, which is obviously silly because Jones says:-

Today’s men start late, but stop early. In Cameroon, almost half the fathers are over 50, in Pakistan about a fifth, and in France only about one in twenty.

So evolution marches on everywhere else but among us, it seems.  But towards the end of the article it becomes plain that when Jones says “evolution” in respect to Cameroonians and Pakistanis he actually means “European race-replacement”:-

As Darwin himself realised, evolution’s third ingredient is isolation. Humans are 10,000 times more common than any other mammal of their size, and without modern technology the world’s population would be half a million - about that of Glasgow.

People are dense, and on the move. No man (or woman) is an island nowadays, for the world is becoming a single genetic continent. History has always been made in bed, but the beds are getting closer together.

Once, we stayed close to where we were born and populations could build their own identity. Now, we no longer have to marry the girl or boy next door but can hop onto a plane and find a mate from miles away.

How far was your birthplace from that of your partner and how far apart were your mother and father, and your grandmother and grandfather on each side, born? In almost every case the distance has increased and continues to do so (my wife and I first saw the light 3,000 miles apart, my mother and father ten; and, as my students say, it shows).

Everywhere, the biological frontiers are getting leakier. A grand averaging is slowing evolution’s power. One British marriage in fifty is between partners from different ethnic groups and many more cohabit.

Afro-Caribbean males are half as likely again to marry a white female than are black women to find a white husband, while among Chinese those preferences are reversed. Britain is among the most sexually open nations in the world.

People choose mates almost as much by level of education as by skin colour. Other countries are going the same way and Homo sapiens will soon be a lot more uniform than it was.

Health, birth control and the healing power of lust all conspire to tell us that, at least in the developed world, and at least for the time being, evolution is over. So, if you are worried about what Utopia is going to be like, cheer up - you are living in it now.

All this describes the European genocide quite well.  It is only when, at the very end, Jones comes to the values to be ascribed to it that we realise what being a devoted Labour Party supporter does to the scientific mind.

Desperate times, desperate measures

From the Daily Mail:-

Migrants arriving from overseas will be brought ‘under control’ hints new Immigration Minister

Within hours of his appointment, the new Immigration Minister indicated that the influx of arrivals from overseas will finally be brought ‘under control’.

Phil Woolas dropped broad hints that he supports a policy of ‘balanced migration’, and an upper limit on migrant numbers.

The outspoken MP added: ‘ Community cohesion is crucial. After the economy, this is probably the biggest concern facing the population.’

Campaigners gave Mr Woolas’s remarks a cautious welcome as a sign that Labour is at last preparing to abandon its controversial ‘open door’ policy.

They have also been heartened by his strong track record as a politician willing to confront uncomfortable subjects.

In the past, he has warned that first-cousin marriages in the Pakistani community are increasing the risk of birth defects, and that Muslim women wearing the veil could spark ‘fear and resentment’ among non-Muslims.

The Oldham East and Saddleworth MP, who has faced down BNP activists in his own constituency, told the Sunday Times on Sunday that it was vital to ‘provide confidence to the indigenous population that migration is under control’.

The clue is in the last line.  The election could be up to 600 days away but the electoral strategies are already deployed.  Woolas’ appointment is intended to forestall both the Tories and the BNP from making capital out of the former “open-door” policy.  It might well prove a clever play in a time of recession when migrants are not much needed industrially anyway, and the level of bad feeling among the populace inevitably rises.

The game has changed a little.  The BNP will need to adjust its rhetoric accordingly.

Moslem migration a tool of the elites

The rulers try to build a multi-racial society from mixed motives: some have high-minded ideals, others are out to exploit cheap imported labour. They invite immigrants and legislate us into sharing everything we have with them, while the global elites living here and multi-national corporations who are present too pay derisory taxes. Our shameless politicians are no better, claiming vast and deceitful expenses. If they want immigrants they should put them up at their houses - they can certainly afford to. But it is not as if the imports are all needy or in danger, though we pretend they are because, in our folly, it makes us feel wanted and righteous for offering aid.

The message conveyed to them is that we are weak and scared and this makes them despise us for not standing up for ourselves. When immigrants arrive they are welcomed by hordes of do-gooders - they can tell any lie and it is accepted. The elites hope there is no threat from them, and pretend they are essentially good.  They appeal to their good-will by being fawningly nice to them, hoping they will reciprocate by being nice back. This mentality was expressed neatly by Jens Orback, Sweden’s one-time Minister of Democracy, “We must be open and tolerant towards Islam and Muslims because when we become a minority, they will be so towards us.”

The Government is cunning and manipulative, and allows things to happen through a negligence that is quite intentional.  It does not want to be in control in certain key management areas. The inadequacy of its positions is the best and, importantly, least blameworthy way to bring about its objectives.

In a normal time in a normal country these objectives would automatically focus upon strengthening our peoples, and that would include strengthening our national character.  But our rulers strive to achieve the opposite, constantly blaming us and using us as scapegoats (racists) if anything goes wrong in the utopian plan. It affects our everyday lives because social relations now have to be regulated and, post 7/7, restrictive anti-terrorist laws are imposed on everyone, not just the likely suspects.

We used to be homogenous and trusted one another. In general it was peaceful. We queued. We relaxed with each other, and sought to get along by using good manners and showing consideration. Is the breaking up of that life through uncontrolled mass immigration an accident? No, the importation of cheap labour and new voting constituencies is wholly intentional.

Clues to the evolution of religious faith

This morning the Telegraph ran a short news feature titled, ”People who believe in God are more helpful.

Scientists say that those who frequently pray and attend religious services report more charitable donations and volunteer work

However the review, published in the journal Science, does suggest that believers acting for the greater good may be doing so to enhance their own reputation among friends and acquaintances.

In one experiment, volunteers who had been told that a dead student’s ghost had been seen in the experiment room cheated less on a test than those who had not.

In another, children who were told that a fictional character called Princess Alice was watching them were less likely to disobey their instructions.

In Science, the authors wrote: “These findings are consistent with the idea that outward evidence of religious devotion may engender more trust.”

The evidence also suggests that trust in other members of a religious group is higher when those groups involve a greater degree of commitment, for example in stricter forms of religious belief, such as Mormonism.

The authors say that the research supports the idea that in early societies religion helped to foster social cohesion by encouraging cooperation.

The original paper is titled The Origin and Evolution of Religious Prosociality and is by Norenzayan and Shariff, Department of Psychology, University of British Columbia.  The abstract reads:-

URGENT: The Republican Party’s Opportunity to Demolish the Democratic Party

Given the Republican Party’s desperate situation in the upcoming election midst a financial crisis founded on bad consumer credit, there is an enormous opportunity to seize control of the US government and utterly destroy the Democratic Party:

Call up Charles Murray over at the highly influential American Enterpise Institute and draft a policy for the implementation of ”The Plan” outlined in his book ”In Our Hands: A Plan to Replace the Welfare State” whereby every citizen age 21 or above who isn’t incarcerated receives $10K/year in monthly payments—thereby replacing all transfer/"entitlement" programs.

If the Republicans could uniformly get behind this conservative think-tank plan, they’d sweep the election and dismantle the core of public sector rent-seeking that provides Democrats with their political base.

Mandelson!

Peter Mandelson, already a resignation veteran, the architect of New Labour and of spin in British politics, and possibly the most despised politician of recent times, is returning to the cabinet.

Normally, I would attempt to formulate some sort of response of my own, beyond the obvious single word offering of “Gobsmacked”.  But the Guardian’s on-line Labour-lovers are coming up with much more jaw-dropped, wide-eyed bemusement that I ever could, all in answer to a Mandelson eulogy by another despised spin-person, Derek Draper (yes, the guy who once boasted “There are 17 people who count in this government, and to say I am intimate with every one of them is the understatement of the century").

Dr Fredrick Toben arrested on EU warrant at Heathrow

From the Telegraph news that:-

German-born Australian national Dr Gerald Fredrick Toben, 64, was detained by the Metropolitan Police extradition unit using an EU arrest warrant issued by the German authorities.

The founder of the Adelaide Institute, a web and print publication that questions the Holocaust, he is accused of publishing material on the internet “of an anti-Semitic and/or revisionist nature” that “denies, approves of or plays down the mass murder of Jews by the Nazis”.

The arrest warrant alleges that Dr Toben committed the offence in Australia, Germany and other countries.

In a disclaimer on his website, Dr Toben writes of his work: “If you wish to begin to doubt the Holocaust-Shoah narrative, you must be prepared for personal sacrifice, must be prepared for marriage and family break-up, loss of career, and go to prison.

“This is because Revisionists are, among other things, dismantling a massive multi-billion dollar industry that the Holocaust-Shoah enforcers are defending, as well as the survival of Zionist-racist Israel.”

In the past he has denied that he said that the Holocaust was a “lie”. He has previously been convicted in Germany of inciting racial hatred.

In 2006, he was among a group of Holocaust academics who attended two-day “Review of the Holocaust: global vision” conference organised by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran, who caused international outrage by describing the Holocaust as a “myth”.

He is due to appear at City of Westminster Magistrates’ Court in central London.

The case for Inevitablism

Today the quality British papers have carried articles uniformly decrying the Austrian election result.  As one would expect, it’s all “far right” this and “extremist” that.  But I’ve been struck by how many readers commenting on the threads take issue with these sentiments.  Ten or fifteen years ago, any sympathy for Germanic nationalism would have been completely beyond the pale.  Eight years ago, when Haider’s Freedom Party entered government with Wolfgang Schüssel’s People’s Party, the mandarins of the EU felt bold enough to issue sanctions against Austria for voting “wrongly”.  Today that is beyond the pail.

Now, I’m no Inevitablist, and should a wave of mass revulsion of the MultiCult actually sweep Europe’s nationalists into office over the next decade, my immediate concern would be that their intellectual roots are too shallow to give the required coup de grace to liberalism and all its works (and its workers).  But it is impossible to explain to a man who has been confined for so very long that the first openings of the door aren’t the beginnings of his freedom.  He is going to will it to be anyway.

Here are some thread comments to illustrate the point that there is a crack in the door.  They are taken from the thread to a confused and rambling but PeeCee piece in the Telegraph titled “Far-Right’s showing in Austria’s election is worrying”.

To wring hands about this is just so hypocritical and, frankly, missed-the-boat journalism.

For years, the so-called Political ‘Elite(what a misnomer!)AND the MSM have combined in a cosy and sinister cartel to keep the issues of Immigration and Integration of Europe OFF the discussion list of voters ; anyone with half a brain(many of the electorate, sad to say)could see that in the event of an economic downturn, this would come back viciously to rebound, especially on the corrupt and smug political parties who can hardly be separated by a cigarette paper in their policies on BOTH of these subjects.

The vote in Austria may be tut-tutted by both media and Politicians of the centre left, but it won’t go away - neither will the increasing anger in other parts of Europe about these issues. The day of the Soft-left is coming to an end, caused in no small way by their stupid and unsustainable policies of Lending to those who cannot afford to repay loans but who can be relied on to vote for them ; Clinton began this policy by repealing the Glass-Steaghal Act in 99, and the financial melt-down currently rocking the world is a direct result of this - Doubtless, Democrat-leaning media in both the USA & UK will try to whitewash this, but the fact remains.

As times become harder and jobs scarcer, the simmering resentment over unchecked Immigration will turn and devour the Left ; the future looks increasingly frightening and it is ALL the fault of Liberal woolly thinking.

austrians will always tell you -hitler -was a german and beethoven an austrian, from what i hear from friends in austria the would welcome the nazi party under a different name. this is because of immigration but like the elephant in the room as in u.k. no one dare mention it,i was told by friends the fear is losing their national character as a people and high taxes to pay for benefits for the immigrants.sounds familiar?.

News from Finland

Dear Soren,
Long time has passed since I last dropped you a line - I am so sorry. My life is still water, boring to the extreme, except that my grandmother is getting worse - so there is at least something bad to wait for. I don’t know if you noticed but last week we had another school shooting here in Finland - almost identical with the shooting last year - this time 10 people died. I don’t know what’s wrong with Finns - could it be that we are simply nasty, violent bastards. Eventhough our welfare system is not what it used to be I still wouldn’t say that we must blame the schools or the state, society, poor social services, poor councelling etc. for this - the reasons for this kind of behaviour go deeper. I mean when Finns were poor in the past nothing like this ever happened - so my question is how much money should government actually spend on social services, schools, healthcare etc. etc. so that nothing like this would ever happen - money - or government support - doesn’t seem to make people happy. Does the individual have any responsibilities towards the fellow citizens or should we always blame the society, the government, the “system” for everything? Anyway Finland seems to be the school shooting capital of Europe right now.

Nationalist gains in Austria

The first national elections since the bank collapse really went critical have taken place in Austria today.  The news is: significant gains for the two nationalist parties.  Heinz-Christian Strache’s Freedom Party (FPOe) and Jorg Haider’s Alliance for the Future of Austria (BZOe), have taken 29% of the vote between them.  Of that, the Freedom Party took 18 per cent of the vote - up from 11% in 2006 despite suffering accusations of xenophobia during the election campaign.  The Alliance for the Future of Austria won 11 per cent of the vote - up from 4%.  So it’s an even split of 7 percentage points gained apiece.

The official result will only be announced on October 6th.

It is possible but, of course, unlikely that nationalist parties will be invited into government, as they were in 2000.  On the other hand, the Austrian public will not smile upon a repeat of the centrist double act of the People’s Party and the Social Democrats.  Most likely to emerge from the inevitable period of political horse-trading is a “grand coalition” of the Social Democrats, who won the largest share of the votes with 28%, the Greens and one of small parties.

Following on the Northern League’s coup of joining the governing coalition in Italy last April, achieved with only an 8% vote share, this is a heartening result.  One should always remember, though, that it has come about for negative reasons: electoral disenchantment with the governing duo and with aspects of Austria’s membership of the EU, and discontent with immigration.  This negativity is a weakness of European nationalism.  Of course, nationalists have to believe in the “certainty” that voter dissatisfaction with the Establishment parties will escalate and keep on escalating, delivering power to them as an inevitable product of the postmodern hell.  Thusfar, however, it has proved impossible for nationalists to sustain the gains they have made, and all too easy for the default mainstream to adapt à la Sarkozy.

The lesson would appear to be that a positive, communicable vision has to run alongside the standard mix of critical rhetoric and vote-buying managerial politics.

Clueless Tory patrician quote of the day

For a fleeting moment this morning I was stopped in my tracks by a single sentence from a Guardian interview given by Shadow Home Secretary Dominic Grieve MP QC:-

“We’ve actually done something terrible to ourselves in Britain.”

But then came this intellectually flabby, depressingly predictable explanation:-

“In the name of trying to prepare people for some new multicultural society we’ve told people, particularly long-term inhabitants, ‘Well your cultural background isn’t really very important, or it’s flawed, or you shouldn’t be worrying about it’. And then we’ve been shocked that far from producing the new model citizen who easily adapts to multiculturalism, people are very resistant, very fearful and very lacking in self-confidence.”

So, the English are “long-term inhabitants” (the Third World invaders are “second- and third-generation immigrant communities").  I’ve been called a few things in my time, but never a “long-term inhabitant”.  What kind of idiot thinks like that?  Apparently, one that, if the polls are to be believed, has a very good chance of becoming Home Secretary in the next year or so!

To compound matters, he doesn’t even appear to have noticed the culture war that was fought by the Birmingham Schooled left from the 1980s onward.  It was only preparing people for “some new multicultural society”. So that’s alright, then.

It’s enough to want to grab him by his expensive lapels and bellow, “Look, you clueless prat, what has been done to us is a crime against humanity ... an effing genocide!”

But he would only think that I lack self-confidence.  Obviously.

He says:-

“In this vacuum, both the BNP and Hizb ut-Tahrir rise. They are two very similar phenomena experiencing a form of cultural despair about themselves and their identities. And it’s terribly easy to latch on to confrontational and aggressive variants of their cultural background as being the only way to reassure themselves that they can survive.”

So the BNP is the moral equivalent of a radical Moslem organisation that, only last year, David Cameron asked Brown to hurry up and ban.  And, of course, it’s all about despair.  We are just in need of a bit of good old reassurance.  Something like: “You long-term inhabitants have absolutely nothing to complain about as your precious homeland passes slowly and irrevocable into the hands of much shorter-term inhabitants.” No, nothing at all.  Dominic has it all worked out.  All we have to do is to be tolerant since, as everyone knows:-

“Our country has adapted because people have been tolerant, which has often required a lot of forbearance and acceptance of things they didn’t like. That is how Britain has evolved.

You see.  Government-organised race-replacement by negroes and Moslems isn’t genocide at all.  It’s evolution.
