Most African Americans can identify with the difficulty of finding a Black doctor in their neighborhood. Or even how hard it is to get health advice from someone they know, who understands their culture and lifestyle. Well, now there’s help. BlackDoctor.org has a nationwide free referral service that lets consumers find qualified Black doctors in their area. They can look up doctors on the BlackDoctor.org website or by calling BlackDoctor.org’s toll free number.

I’d bet that when they finally open incompetentdoctors.org, the membership rolls will have considerable overlap.

In passing President Bush’s Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act last month, a bipartisan Senate coalition has shown itself to be suffering from the dubious, irresponsible mindset articulated in Yiddish as “Sie machen sich nicht wissentig” and by Thomas Aquinas as “Ignorantia Affectata”: willfully making themselves unknowing while feigning ignorance about inconvenient facts.

A majority of Senate Democrats chose to pander to Latinos, abandoning principle and the party’s historical base to placate a potentially larger electorate. A minority of the chamber’s Republicans, meanwhile, gave the service sector, agro-business and other industries employing unskilled workers a bottomless pool of cheap labor.

Steinlight fails to mention that jews in the Senate voted for the bill 11-0.

Flyover white states dominate volunteering

Utah Ranked No. 1 For Volunteering In National Study

Utah residents volunteer more often and give more of their time than people in any other state, according to a national report released Monday.

The study was conducted by the Corporation for National and Community Service, a federal agency whose programs include Senior Corps and AmeriCorps, and tracked volunteer efforts for all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

Some 48 percent of Utah residents 16 and older served as volunteers between 2003 and 2005. Nebraska was second with 42.8 percent, followed by Minnesota with 40.7 percent, Iowa with 39.2 percent and Alaska with 38.9 percent.

Army Lieutenant in Hawaii Refuses to Deploy Because of War Objections

An Army lieutenant who has refused to deploy to Iraq with his Fort Lewis Stryker brigade was barred by his commanders from attending a news conference Wednesday.

Instead, 1st Lt. Ehren Watada issued a videotaped statement, saying he had appealed to his commanders in his wish not to participate in the war.

“It is my duty as a commissioned officer of the United States Army to speak out against grave injustices. My moral and legal obligation is to the Constitution and not those who would issue unlawful orders,” Watada said, wearing a dark suit and blue tie rather than his military uniform. An American flag served as a backdrop.

Along with all those Chinese espionage cases, this oughta really help yellows get over that “Asians as loyal imperial subjects” question.

What matters?

What gives us a sense of wellbeing? The results of some Australian research might surprise you.

A study was released last October which compared the wellbeing of Australians according to the electorate they live in. 23,000 Australians were interviewed for the survey which was a joint project of Deakin University and Australian Unity, a large insurance company.

In which electorates did people report the highest level of wellbeing? The decisive factor was not money. In fact, the electorate with the lowest taxable income, Wide Bay in Queensland, scored the highest level of personal wellbeing.

So what did count? The report highlighted three factors which, according to political orthodoxy, ought not to matter.

Indian beauty

I forget who put up the posts concerned but somebody here was saying that the best of Western women are much more attractive than the best of Indian women.  The evidence used was of beauty contest winners.  And if you look at the three Misses India below, I can see the point.

An obvious point, however, is that it is Indian selection criteria that are different rather than Indian women.  And one of the “runners up” in the latest round of contests bears that out.  In my view she should have been the clear winner but all she got was a consolation prize ("Miss Photogenic").  See her below:

So I don’t think contest winners make an adequate criterion.

Eugenics – how to raise children.

Sociologists, psychologists, and educators have favored the naïve environmental model of human development, assuming that raising children in this way or that will determine how children will grow up. Over the last decade however, this model has been overturned for one that recognizes children mature along a fairly fixed trajectory, and with a normal amount of support and encouragement they will do just fine on their own without excessive pampering or pushing them beyond their natural limits in sports, education, the arts, etc. That is, let them grow up naturally—with good genes—and they will prosper in whatever field they endeavor to undertake.

From an individualist perspective this is fine, but for racial identity and the advancement of a particularistic eugenics, this is not enough. Not only must the children be equipped to succeed, they also must be encouraged to advance eugenics. It is accepted—even encouraged—that children be indoctrinated into their parent’s religion to the exclusion of all other competing viewpoints. Since eugenics is a religion like any other, one based more on science than a shared mythology; it should be encouraged to pass onto our children that same devotion for the continuation and eugenic improvement of future generations we are responsible for.

Does ethnicity matter?

Does ethnicity matter? Is it important?

Right-wing (classical) liberals generally answer with a consistent “no”. Even if they feel some sense of ethnic identity themselves, they believe that a modern, autonomous individual should be shaped by his own reasoned choices. We don’t get to choose our ethnicity, so it is assumed (at best) that ethnicity is something of secondary rank within human nature, something of a sentimental nature, but not relevant to how we choose to organise our lives or our society.

Left-wing liberals are less consistent. Like all liberals, they believe that we are human because of a freedom to exercise our individual will. Therefore, they tend to read issues in terms of power relations: who is dominant in their will over others. Those tagged as dominant tend to lose moral legitimacy, as they are thought to have organised a privilege at the expense of the oppressed “other”.

What this means is that left-wing liberals will generally be harsher on ethnic groups tagged as “dominant” than on those they consider oppressed – especially if the “oppressed” group is thought to be rallying around ethnic discrimination to improve their status.

For a traditionalist conservative like myself, neither of these liberal views is adequate. A traditionalist would argue that ethnicity is important in creating a social context for individual life and in providing a core source of identity for individuals.

This is true whether we belong to a large, successful, “dominant” ethnic group (e.g. the Japanese), or a small, beleaguered one (e.g. an Amazonian rainforest tribe).

A modern Beowulf

We are lucky to have the great Old English epic poem Beowulf. A copy of it was written down by a scribe about 1000 AD, and this sole existing copy was scorched but not destroyed during a fire in Sir Robert Cotton’s library in 1731. In 1786 an Icelandic scholar, G.J. Thorkelin, organised for transcripts to be made, before parts of the original became illegible.

The poem helps connect us to our distant forebears. For this reason, it is undeniably an important cultural artefact for Anglo-Saxons in particular and Europeans in general. Which is why the following story is disappointing.

Mass migration destroys humanity?

A key distinguishing feature of humanity is its communication ability.  But what exactly is communication as opposed to manipulation?  How does communication arise?  What are the conditions for its continuation?  There have been a number of attempts at simulating the evolution of communication but till the simulation described in this article was run, none of them combined migration, climatic variation and the prisoner’s dilemma.

The simulaton is schematic but suggestive that migration can eliminate the very genetic capacity for communication and replace it with pure manipulation.

Removing Lewontin’s Fallacy From Hamilton’s Rule

As my first MR blog entry I think it appropriate to put down some thoughts on how to shore-up a shortcoming of sociobiology theory that results in a significant under-estimation of ethnic nepotism.  I’m doing this here because I ran across some similar thoughts by JW Holliday which he published here some months ago.  Ben Tillman presented the seed of the idea a few months earlier.  It is a credit to MR that these views were first presented here. 

In my way of stating it: Lewontin’s Fallacy has weakened the foundation of sociobiology by ignoring genetic correlation structures that allow us to accurately discern phylogenetic groups such as subspecies or races.

It is my hope that providing a definition of “particle”, as correlation structures of nucleotides, will clarify the application of Price’s equations in W. D. Hamilton’s paper Innate Social Aptitudes of Man and a bioinformatic direction will emerge for sociobiology.  As this direction emerges many critiques of ethnic nepotism theory will be exposed as semantic confusion arising from the historic definitions of heritable particles—such as genes or alleles—definitions that lack sufficient bioinformatic rigor. 

This will be hard work.  For the usual reasons, we cannot expect government-funded scientists to be very cooperative.

A Bang Rather Than A Whimper

Thomas Chittum’s prediction might be dead-on, of course America might simply “fade to brown” meaning she might erode into a dissolute half-caste state like Brazil. I’m sure most prefer the former scenario, if only for the chance to fight; I’d rather go out with a bang, than a whimper.

With that in mind, I write these words for the discerning few which foresee the calamitous future and wish to survive; for you are an elect class, and it is only you that can effectively act to save our kind; and for this very same reason our foes wish this elect reduced or eliminated: as was the case with the Polish officer corps slaughtered in the Katyn Forest or more indiscriminately the millions slaughtered in Russia and Ukraine.

Surely each night while retiring to a plush sofa and clicking the oversized remote, activating a plasma TV, these fools might blissfully ignore a darkening world, yet a few may wonder as they watch a race riot or Negroes brawling over a ball just how much longer they can enjoy their oasis of wealth. Perhaps, while looking at their barren wives or effeminate husbands they whisper ”thank God we don’t have kids”.

Though for the savages this is a golden age: their numbers are exploding as they now enjoy 500 years of European progress and invention, and the sexual delights of our women; and the savages have progressed to where, above all others, except for the Jew, they are the protected class to which both the legal system and the media ennoble. Though each day as our misery deepens for the savage each morning brings bright sunshine.

… Officials say Aragoncillo passed several lie detector tests that are routinely given to individuals with top secret clearances. A Disappointment

I was interested in seeing how Steve Sailer would respond on VDARE to Jared Taylor’s critique of “citizenism.” Instead we get this!

Peter Brimelow tells us that the rest of this lengthy essay will be saved ... for next week!  At which time, the post on the subject up at the AmRen site - which has generated many comments and much interest - would have been long ago pushed down by newer, more relevant news.  This is, in my opinion, an error.  This is an important topic, and interest has been focused on it as a result of Taylor’s own foray into the controversy.  Why does part of the argument need to be presented in weekly installments?

More to the point: why is it necessary to have such a long-winded, “waxing philosophical” answer to Taylor’s critique, starting with a self-congratulatory introduction so long that it couldn’t fit at VDARE as a single post?  What is so difficult about simply answering Taylor?

If patriotism is only constitutional

While white gentile Americans who spy against America are almost always motivated by ideology and/or money, representatives of other groups (eg, the still slipperyJohnathan Pollard) are usually motivated by ethnic interests.  Is this another example?

…intelligence analyst with top secret clearance who worked at a New Jersey Army base was charged Monday with passing classified information about Filipino leaders to current and former officials of that nation … The analyst, Leandro Aragoncillo, sent some of the material to Michael Ray Aquino, a former deputy director of the Philippines National Police who lives in New York City, according to an FBI complaint unsealed with the arrests … Aragoncillo, 46, of Woodbury, was hired to work at Fort Monmouth in July 2004 and began sending classified information and documents in January, according to the complaint … From May to Aug. 15, Aragoncillo printed or downloaded 101 classified documents relating to the Philippines, of which 37 were classified “secret,” the complaint said.  Details of the documents’ contents were not disclosed in court papers or in court … Aragoncillo, a Marine for 21 years, and Aquino were ordered held without bail following an appearance before a federal magistrate.

Coalitional psychology—finding ways to bring back White racial consciousness.

The ongoing argument about collectivism versus individualism relies almost wholly on whether we embrace one over the other because (a) Whites are genetically different and tend towards individualism or (b) we are more individual because of historical circumstances. I argue that aside from genetic or historical circumstances, we can also take advantage of contextual circumstances to awaken racial consciousness, but efforts to do so still rely on information dominance, and who can make the best case in terms of sheer volume about the proper moral stance of humanity. It becomes a media war of moral positions and there correctness.

However, there is an optimistic view that we can take advantage of changing world events, to change how people view their relationship with other groups, including national versus racial solidarity, as we have noted after 9/11. A recent paper from the journal Evolutionary Psychology entitled “Normative Bias and Adaptive Challenge: A Relational Approach to Coalitional Psychology and a Critique of Terror Management Theory,” by Carlos David Navarette and David M.T. Fessler, argue in their abstract as follows:

Once a Chinese …

Bruce Lahn, the researcher behind the September 2005 Science papers on brain genes and population distribution, is an interesting fellow.  A little research resulted in the finding that a biography of Dr Lahn appeared in the August 29, 2005 issue of “The Scientist.” Here we learn that when Lahn was an undergraduate at Beijing University in the late 1980s, he was an anti-communist “rebel.” Lahn managed to transfer to Harvard University in the USA before the Tiananmen Square massacre.  He is now a researcher at the University of Chicago.

So … given all of that, and given the Asiatic claim of “ideology trumps ethnicity”, one would expect that Lahn would embrace his adopted land of America and, consistent with wonderful, ethnically-disinterested “Constitutional Patriotism”, eschew communist China and do everything possible to help the USA in its scientific/technological competition with the PRC.  Right?  “I err … well, not quite.” Dr. Lahn does some research in China, and states the following (from “The Scientist” article):

Lies, Murder, and the Rainbow Division

This August 19th, USA Today reported a Mestizo soldier named Alberto Martinez murdered two of his commanding officers while serving in Iraq. With some irony it must be noted Martinez served in 42nd Infantry, the so called “Rainbow Division.”

The 42nd Infantry in which Martinez served - said USA Today - was so named by Douglas MacArthur because of its commitment to Diversity. And we all know what diversity means in our day and age.

Something smelled fishy, MacArthur was a Southerner born in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1880.  Nothing I had ever read about MacArthur suggested he was multicultist. So, I found the webpage of the Rainbow Division Veterans Memorial Foundation, and, indeed, the tag “The Rainbow Division” was bequeathed by MacArthur, but:

The 42nd Rainbow Division was formed in August 1917 of National Guard units from 26 states and the District of Columbia. After Chief of Staff Major Douglas MacArthur remarked that the Division “would stretch over the whole country like a rainbow...”

The sly insinuation by USA Today was that MacArthur was a multicultural race denier, when in fact, his comment referred to the unit’s composition of White Americans from across the country; USA Today also fails to mention the Army was strictly segregated by race when MacArthur was the Army Chief of Staff. So much for modern diversity.

Lesson: trust nothing the controlled media produces.

David B of Gene Expression blog has a new post on interracial marriage, wherein he argues for no strong biological reasons either for or against interracial breeding.  I do not have much time to reply at length, but some of David B’s major points are easily critiqued by the data cited in my previous posts, and it doesn’t take much time to link to previous posts.  I left most of the following at his blog, but there is no telling how long it will remain there.
