Where Mugabe pioneers, the Black National Socialist gov’t of SA follows. This famine is the direct result of Mugabe’s confiscation of land from productive white farmers and dolling it out to the black ubermenschs, a policy now under consideration in Cape Town. One would have thought that the Chinese, Cambodian and Soviet famines-all the results of transfering farming land from productive, responsible hands to (for very good reason) “disadvantaged” ones- would have taught the latest utopian social engineers something.

However, lest I be accussed of racism, I would like to point out that our own Westminster government is already persuing a similar policy of racial preferments for entrance to higher education. Nice to know the next time you go to the doctors, eh?

It was also a part of Spartan culture, white Egypt culture, Plato’s ideal Republic, etc. The common denominator is primitivity, not race. Blacks simply haven’t left the Bronze Age yet!

Demographics in Zimbabwe will change, as will politics, but blacks will do fine without whites. The whites had a chance to build their own country but didn’t have the balls for it. Compare Zimbabwe or South Africa to Israel.
Whites might on average have a higher IQ, but on average they are nowhere near as smart as blacks. Smart meaning doing what’s good for you and your tribe.

Once the white components of the setup have gone, internal combustion engines, electricity, medicine, made-up roads, railways, phones etc Zimbabwe will do fine as it lapses back to a subsistence economy. The population will be much lower of course.

Alex-point taken-but I disagree on the “primitivity"causitive.And to assert that Blacks are still in a Bronze Age society is granting them undue achievement.Late Stone Age,at best-no concept of the wheel,no written languages,no permanent dwellings,no concept of even the most basic of agriculteral procedures-hell they traded gold[weight for weight] with the Portugese for SALT-with an ocean at their feet.In the70’s,I could drive 15-20 miles northeast out of Lagos[Nigeria],and find myself in a3-4000 year old “society”;grass/mud huts,shitholes in a corner of the living area,a cooking area detached [because the concept of a flue was not perceived],and the only water supply was a nearby stream that had a half-inch of putrid scum floating on it.Hell,the stories I could tell would convince most people I am full of shit,but so be it.

Did you live in Africa?

Please do tell us more if you can. I am fascinated by this. The fact is that all my “African” friends are white Saffers and they grew up in very civilized surroundings.

So a more accurate picture of African conditions would be very valuable.

Phil Pederson-I merced in Angola after I got out of the USMC in th early 60’sánd later[70’s],worked for a company that installed the first intra-country sattelite systems in Nigeria,Uganda,Sudan,and others.This over a period of 7+ years[my third wife was a missionary’s daughter,born in Nigeria].Played basketball with Idi Amin,was in attendance at AKO Abiola’s daughter’s naming party{the elected president of Nigeria who “died"in jail],went thru several coups in Nigeria and Benin,lived in tents,ate C-rations,learned how to bribe the right people,and successfully completed my assignments.Between the military and civilian employment,I have lived or worked in 51 countries[I’m 67 now,and retired].Downside-four busted marriages,untold money pissed away,old wounds that are starting to catch up on me,and the reluctance to talk about my experiences,due to disbelief[but I do have 40 years of photos].If you are sincerely interested,Pm me ,and I’ll give you my Phone#-Idon’t type worth a shit.Semper Fi !

You have lived the equivalent of 10 lives in this lifetime. That is truly astonishing.

Why don’t you e-mail me your number and some day we could chat about all your experiences (my e-mail is )? It would make for fascinating hearing.

I don’t think I’d ever be able to live through all of what you’ve survived and lived to tell the tale. It would probably overwhelm me. I don’t think I’d survive Africa for more than a few months to be honest - let alone years that have included military coups, scum like Idi Amin etc.

Did you also live in Asia, the Middle East and South America?

The experiences of the expat who sees everything are our best lenses for seeing the world. What we get fed by the mainstream media, the less said the better about such propaganda.

AL,I’m old but not that old -Force 136 was a canadian/British group active in Malaysia during WWII.Also,being in the USA,Harrods is a pricey cab ride from here.If my memory/history is correct,some of them evolved into the SAS,which trained in Brunei with the Gurka battalion[one of three]hired by the Sultan of Brunei.Those guys are GOOD-but the Gurkas kicked their ass in the jungle every time.But the SAS lads could out drink them at the nondescripts club.

Nick - Peter MacAleese was a British soldier who was also in Angola, Rhodesia and SA. He was referenced here a while back (by me) and you said he sounded like someone you knew from Africa and you would like to get in touch. Then some other guy turned up here saying he he could facilitate that. I cant remember the thread but I can track down in time.

Lurker-I apologise;now I recall the initial post I made-yes,there was an old rat[compliment],that was still militarily active back then,and the name sounds familiar-but he’d be in his 90’s today.And the years of wear and tear start catching up with you after 65.If it’s the same indivdual,he was in charge of “vetting"signees,and then indoctrinating them-Whose side we were on,rules of engagement[generally none],pay,benifits[none,unless you could carry it away],and death benifits.I think at the time it was #5000.Damn,to be young again-I’d still do it.Semper Fi !
