First Model of Euroman’s Ethnosexual DynamicsClick on this link to for a stock and flow diagram model of ethnosexual dynamics. (My apologies for providing a PDF rather than placing an image.) At this time, it is just the diagram of the influences within the model, without actual arithmetic content, and highly schematic at that, but it should stimulate some discussion. I fully expect to revise this and may update this post from time to time to reflect those changes. When it is updated, I will edit this summary accordingly. Briefly, the model attempts to predict the degree to which Eurofemales value Euromales as sires for children given various influences such as:
A couple of things to take note of: Artificial insemination produces nearly 50% more females than males. Also, European adaptations revolve around the requirement for males during rearing, for both provisioning and authority, due to harsh environmental conditions requiring cultural adaptations more than instinct.

Posted by James Bowery on June 03, 2007, 05:39 AM | # “Imply” is too weak a description. In the diagram there is a direct, negative, arrow from value placed on Euromale by Eurofemale as sire for her children to mother’s age at first live birth. I think this is pretty clearly demonstrated by the demographic collapse of Euroman populations due to lowered total birth rates consequent to delayed motherhood. Would incarceration, religiosity and forces assignment overseas have a bearing on the model? Posted by James Bowery on June 04, 2007, 12:24 AM | # My understanding is that the gender bias in artificial insemination is caused by the greater vulnerability of the Y sperm during handling. Therefore those types of assisted conception that did not process the semen wouldn’t substantially influence the ratio. As for the other factors: Incarceration is definitely a factor for the Afro population. However I don’t think it is yet high enough for the Euroman population to matter that much. Religiosity is an interesting factor. I think it matters most when it reduces the managerial usurpation of the Euromale role. For the most part, this matters only in the LDS from the data I’ve seen, although I could be wrong. Another, related, factor that reduces managerial usurpation of Euromale roles is frontier environment. Alaska and Utah frequently appear at the top of Euroman fertility rates in the US. Overseas assignments may have a bearing on Euroman populations. Posted by 123 on June 04, 2007, 02:20 AM | # JB said ... My understanding is that the gender bias in artificial insemination is caused by the greater vulnerability of the Y sperm during handling. I was going to ask, thanks. If you know why the boys are more vulnerable please share. JB, your posts, especially lately are HOT and you’ve recently linked to pre-MR work that I hadn’t read. Have you thought about collecting all your research and writing in one place? It’s too important to require committed googling. Posted by James Bowery on June 04, 2007, 10:37 PM | # Thanks for the words of encouragement and yes I do need to create my own compilation of my writings for a variety of reasons. I often like going back in time to see how my thinking and/or expression has morphed. But there are other reasons—not the least of which is that archives, even of trivial writings, can be very important for historical purposes and we all know what kinds of people end up “editing” the archives. You know, the kinds of people who go into the NYC public library and just get so “outraged” that they can’t help but rip some selected pages out of the hard copies… And yes, I’ve known of such people… Next entry: Anti Medley: Kville 05.26.07 Previous entry: The Oppressive Politics of Spelling Bees, Exclusion and Fish |
