Muslim cleric says: “Gang rape victims were asking for it”

With remarkable candour, one invitee of the multicultural utopia sought to be created in once all white Australia sets out the agenda: if white women do not cover themselves from head to toe in a burqa, they are inviting gang rape.

I wait for the liberals to say that we need, “dialogue”.

British kids can’t be conned

“Children as young as 13 are displaying signs of Islamophobia and are voicing their support for the British National Party, researchers have found. Young teenagers are increasingly saying they have negative views towards Muslims and do not want Islamic culture expressed in the classroom. The study of 1,500 students aged 13 to 24 was presented at the annual conference of the British Psychological Society in Manchester yesterday.  Researchers asked students from 14 secondary schools and one further education college in York for their views on Islam since 11 September 2001. Three of the schools were from the independent sector and the others came from a wide geographical and socio-economic area”.

Nathalie Noret, the lead researcher, from York St John’s College, said: “The younger pupils were more likely to exhibit extreme views and Islamophobia than older students, and there were no differences between schools.” She added that Islamophobia was a “double whammy” as it discriminated against people not just on the basis of religion but also the colour of their skin.

Overall, 43 per cent of the participants said their attitudes towards Muslims had got worse or much worse since the attacks. A quarter said they had worsened still further since the invasion of Iraq.  Ten per cent of girls and 23 per cent of the boys said they would object to female Muslim school pupils wearing a hijab in the classroom.  When asked about the British National Party, almost 10 per cent said they either agreed or agreed strongly with the views of its far-right politicians, with 15 per cent saying they were neutral. Boys were more likely to adopt extreme views and Islamophobic attitudes than girls, with 4.5 per cent of the male participants strongly agreeing with the BNP, against 1.2 per cent of girls. Similarly, 23 per cent of the boys said their attitudes to Muslims had become much worse since 2001, against 14 per cent of the girls.

The Press and dhimmitude in the Netherlands

Theo Van Gogh, the Dutch film-maker assassinated in Amsterdam last year, is more famous in death than ever he was in life.  Who now among thinking Europeans does not know that it can be fatal to be too critical of Islam?  But the death last week of a retired 65-year old plumber from Geuzenveld, a multicultural district of the city where Theo’s killer had lived , went entirely unremarked among the international media.  All life is equally precious – at least in theory.  But film-makers are news.  Ordinary working men are not.

In one important respect D. de Haas was not ordinary.  He was a brave man, very probably foolishly brave.  At 65 and a native Dutchman in his own country, perhaps he felt entitled or even obligated to speak his mind.  In doing so perhaps he felt entitled to set aside the basic rules of civility.  Perhaps, anyway, he was not a very civil man.  But then, the recipients of his opinions were generally youths of allochthonous descent, namely Moroccan and the kind of boys who loiter with intent in the street, make a racket or maybe leave filth everywhere.  Civility might not be their strongest characteristic, too.

Islam is now a State-sponsored religion in Britain

No separation of church and state in Britain!  Religious Education students in Britain must now include the letters “pbuh” (“peace be upon him”) in parentheses every time they write the name of Mohammed.  Report from an English teacher below:

Religious Education in most schools in the UK is about comparative religion. There are six statutory religions in teaching RE. The law says that Christianity has to be the dominant religion taught in RE. Schools then choose amongst Islam, Judaism, Sikhism, Hinduism, and Buddhism to fill out the rest of the curriculum. My school does the first three. These four religions are taught in years 7, 8, 9 (the same ages as 6th-8th grade in the US).

Jihad Denial and the tragedy of moderate fascism

Before one can solve a problem one has to know the true facts of the matter.  It is striking how such torrents of people write ‘authoritatively’ about Islam when they have not bothered to study the facts about it – such as what, in unvarnished form, the Koran and Hadiths actually say rather than what they are said to say.

Is Holocaust Denial really a crime?  If it is, then how much greater a crime is the consistent pretending-away of thirteen centuries of unprovoked, bloody Islamic Jihad?  A Jihad which is still continuing around the world, particularly in Indonesia and Sudan but extending to Holland, the US and of course, Madrid.

One-sided tolerance

Why are only Muslims allowed to preach violence?  “An extremist London cleric is using live broadcasts on the internet to urge young British Muslims to join al-Qaeda and has condoned suicide terrorist attacks. Omar Bakri Mohammed, who has lived in the UK for 18 years on social security benefits, pledged allegiance to Osama bin Laden and told his followers that they were in a state of war with Britain”.

Obvious, when you think about it

Hat tip to the redoubtable Pericles for this marvel of Arabian logic.

A Muslim Saudi professor says the earthquake and tsunami in south Asia were punishment from Allah for homosexuality and fornication committed by residents and visitors of affected countries at Christmastime.

A television interview of Sheik Fawzan Al-Fawzan, a professor at the Al-Imam University, was translated and posted on the Internet by the Middle East Media Research Institute TV Monitor Project, or MEMRI TV. The interview can be viewed on MEMRI’s website.

More and faster … the story of the radicalising Muslim youth of Holland

The number of young Muslims in the Netherlands who are turning against Dutch society and who hold Dutch culture in contempt is riding a parabola.  An estimated 1,500 potential “assassins of Van Gogh”  are out there right now, prepared to die to establish an Islamic state in Holland.  And that’s no Neo-Nazi scare-talk.  It is the considered view of the Dutch General Information and Security Service (AIVD), the Dutch state security, and it is expressed in their report on the radicalizing of Islam in the Netherlands, From Dawa* to Jihad (in Dutch).

Moderate Muslims

Lawrence Auster says that there is no such thing as a moderate Muslim.  He is wrong.  One of the major religious leaders (and a former Prime Minister) of the world’s largest Muslim country is actually pro-Israel.  And I’ll bet Lawrence does not even know whom I am talking about.  That there is no such thing as a moderate ARAB Muslim I might tend to agree with, however.  No doubt there are some decent Arabs but they seem to be vastly outnumbered by others whom I can only call disgusting.

Words are not adequate

I stand in no danger of falling foul of any religious hate speech law.  It would be entirely invidious of me, as the father of a twelve year girl, to attempt to put into words my opinion of Iranian justice or Sharia and the nature and worth of the religious “judges” - I cannot call them men - who dispense it.

Speed the day when they will receive the same quality of justice for their crimes, which are many and which are real.
