A show in Tehran, a trial in Mannheim.

After the cartoons came the Conference:-

According to the foreign ministry in Tehran, 67 researchers from 30 countries are attending the conference in Iran, which is home to 25,000 Jews.

Participants include a number of well-known “revisionist” Western academics.  American David Duke, a former leader of the Ku Klux Klan, is to present a paper.

Well, I suppose it was a tough call.  Grab the chance to shake hands with Nejad’s funny boys and pontificate in front of the world’s press ... or pass up the one international platform revisionists have been given in sixty years.  Maybe the 67 figured (probably wrongly) they had nothing to lose.  Maybe they followed the old rogue’s dictum: Publicity, bad.  No such thing as.  Maybe they lacked the integrity of the man brought in chains to Mannheim District Court last Wednesday, the translation of whose grave testimony that day is now circulating on the web.  Here it is (PDF).

Tehran you can forget.

At the Teheran Conference the great Professor Robert Faurisson steps up to the microphone during a question-and-answer period to put a simple question to a speaker:  watch this short, riveting video which I’ve transcribed below:

Prof. Robert Faurisson:  My question will be extremely short.  The speaker said that the Holocaust was fully documented.  Please:  give me one document!

Speaker:  My information is based on the books we have on World War II, and I mentioned yesterday that in Churchill’s history of World War II he talked about the death and extermination of hundreds of thousands of people including Jews, and I said [ ? ] and I can give you this one title [ ? ] the History of World War II by Churchill …

Prof. Faurisson:  [Interrupting the speaker] Excuse me, that is not an answer!  I am not asking for what Churchill may have said.  I know, at least, that never, ever [did] he mention any gas chamber — OK, OK.  I’m not asking about Churchill, Roosevelt, and people like that, I am asking for a document!  You said … you didn’t say that many people, like Churchill, said — wait a minute — said this or that, you said “documented.”  You used the word, “documented.”  Give me one document!

Speaker:  There are documents that are reports presented to President Roosevelt about people dying in death camps in — like Auschwitz and elsewhere.  And in fact, there is a request — I’ve seen the study, there is a request by [Chaim] Weitzmann, who meets with Roosevelt to plead for the Jewish, for the Zionist cause, and in fact Roosevelt, based on this document, keeps deferring against Weitzmann’s request to meet with him, and then later on — I believe it’s in 1943 that that meeting takes place, and at that meeting Roosevelt is smart enough not to make any written commitment to Weitzmann regarding concessions …

Prof. Faurisson:  [interrupting the speaker] I’ve been, I’ve been so many times at the Library of Congress; at the National Archives, [both] in Washington itself and in [Suitland, Maryland], and in, uhh, I don’t know, the third place, because [the] National Archives were in three places — I’ve been looking for one document — and you know very well ... Sir! ... Sir! ... you know very well Mr. [Vogt?]:  I asked him the question, and his answer was the same as the answer of [ ? ] Poliakov:  “There is no document.”  Simone Weil said, “No document.”  Raoul Hilbert said, “No document.”  Pressac said, “No document.”  They added, of course, “I believe.”  “I believe.”  “I have no document, but I believe.”  That’s OK!  But I’m looking for one — and I insisted every time, ”I don’t want two documents, I want one”.  Give me one document.”  And don’t say, “I am going to invite you” to a place where I have already been!
