American Murder Mystery.

An antipoverty program has apparently, again, gone terribly wrong. It was thought that poor ghetto Blacks would have a better chance of escaping poverty if they lived not in public housing projects, but out in the real world alongside other renters and owners, closer to jobs, away from concentrated crime, drugs, and pathology. You see, the government started handing out Section 8 vouchers, paying for part of the poor’s rent depending on their income, so they could live where they chose to live (See the full article in the July/August issue of Atlantic Monthly.)

“Wrecking balls began hitting the Chicago high-rises in the mid-1990s.” My wife and I started seeing the impact it had on our neighborhood several years ago as the streets got darker and more dangerous and the ghettos got safer. In short what has happened is Blacks have moved out to certain neighborhoods that were affordable, and when these neighborhoods became about 30% to 40% Black they reached the tipping point and started to slide into another slum area with violence, litter, broken windows, etc. The Blacks were unable to move into nicer neighborhoods and contribute—instead preferring to make their new homes more like their old ghettos. Where high-poverty neighborhoods decline by dispersing the residents to less poverty stricken neighborhoods it has the effect of increasing the rate of crime overall.

It is all a matter of where the Blacks end up despoiling their new nests: “New York, where the rate of violent crime has plummeted, appears to have pushed many of its poor out to New Jersey, where violent crime has increased in nearby cities and suburbs. Washington, D.C., has exported some of its crime to surrounding counties in Maryland and Virginia.”

Even though this has impacted my life directly—my wife and I are preparing to move—it is a good thing for race realism. Many Whites, fed the propaganda that it is racism that keeps Blacks poor and stupid, need to get a dose of living near them to see what they are really like. The wealthy do not have a clue, nor suburbanites, or those from parts of the country where there are very few Blacks. To encounter them on a regular basis is to learn what they are really like.

Section 8 vouchers is the mechanism which is used by the malicious-liberal-social-engineers to make sure black social dysfunction is present in every middleclass white neighborhood. What once was contained in black ghettos, is now metastasizing into every nook and cranny of the country…and our tax dollars are paying for it, I might add.

You are in the highly fortunate and indeed priviledged position of being educated about evolution and race realism. So no doubt you’ll move before you lose out, economically or otherwise.

French government site warns against U.S. no-go areas
A French government Web site is bluntly honest about parts of U.S. cities that its country’s tourists ought to stay away from.

In its “Advice to Travelers,” the Ministère des Affaires Étrangères offers guidelines for Places to Miss, complete with maps. (Click the tab labeled “Sécurité”— French for “safety” as well as “security.”)

The heading says, “The increased risk of terrorism should not make you forget that the principal risk remains criminality.” Scroll down to see the city maps. I’ve translated some of the descriptions:

Boston: “Avoid foot traffic at night in the districts of Dorchester, Mattapan and Roxbury.” It also warns of the “revival of juvenile delinquency.”

New York: Be vigilant in tourist areas like Times Square and the Statue of Liberty, “as well as in airports, railroad stations, the subway, restaurants, museums, and certain hotels on the West Side. Do not go alone in Harlem, the Bronx, and Central Park at night.”

Washington: “Avoid the northeast and southwest quadrants, as well as the bus stops and Union Station at night. In the tourist areas of Georgetown and Dupont Circle it is a good idea to be vigilant at night. The Anacostia area is not recommended either by day or night.”

Pittsburgh: Les lieux dangereux
(circled in red), according to the French government.

“Baltimore is considered a dangerous city except for downtown.”

“Detroit: The center is not recommended after offices close.”

New Orleans: The warning is long and boils down to, avoid most of the city and be on your guard everywhere. “Do not hesitate to take a taxi, even for a short distance.”

Los Angeles: “Large areas are to be avoided, notably the east, south and southeast districts, such as Watts, Inglewood, and Florence” and caution should be exercised in tourist areas. In the West Side (much of which is considered posh) watch out for aggression, carjacking, burglary in hotels and on private property.

Good on the French authorities for warning tourists about some of the less savory realities that the tourist industry glosses over. And it’s not anti-American prejudice. The French government is equally forthcoming about the “sensitive urban areas” at home.

The same French government that rightly issued those warnings is for some strange reason deliberately turning all of France’s cities into the same high-crime Negro/mulatto hellholes these U.S. cities have gotten turned into.

When they were white, needless to say, every one of these U.S. cities was safe and fine.

Somehow I don’t think Petula Clark’s ‘Downtown’ would be the same smash hit it was in much of the world in 1964 if it was released today.    Certainly in the US and UK, and much of the rest of the West, it would just be too unbelievable.

Downtown

Petula Clark

When you’re alone, and life is making you lonely
You can always go
Downtown

When you’ve got worries, all the noise and hurry
Seems to help, I know
Downtown

Just listen to the music of the traffic in the city,
Linger on the sidewalk where the neon signs are pretty
How can you lose? The lights are much brighter there…
You can forget all your troubles; forget all your cares, and go
Downtown—things will be great when you’re
Downtown—you’ll find a place for sure
Downtown—everything’s waiting for you

Downtown .... Downtown…

Don’t hang around, and let your problems surround you,
There are movie shows
Downtown

Maybe you know some little places to go to
Where they never close
Downtown

Just listen to the rhythm of a gentle Bossa Nova
You’ll be dancing with ‘em too before the night is over,
Happy again…
The lights are much brighter there,
You can forget all your troubles; forget all your cares, and go
Downtown—where all the lights are bright
Downtown—waiting for you tonight
Downtown—you’re gonna be all right now…

Downtown…Downtown…Downtown…

Downtown!

Downtown!

And you may find somebody kind to help and understand you;
Someone who is just like you and needs a gentle hand to
Guide them along…
So maybe I’ll see you there,
We can forget all our troubles; forget all our cares, and go
Downtown—things will be great when you’re
Downtown—don’t wait a minute more
Downtown—everything’s waiting for you…

Downtown…Downtown
Downtown…Downtown
Downtown…Downtown
Downtown…Downtown
Downtown…Downtown (fade)

I was just in downtown Memphis… Third world ghetto.  With the right conditions, it could be South Africa.

Alex,

I well remember Petula Clark singing that number.  I was going on 13 years old at the time, and had met my first black person - a young lad called Ricky who I kept out of the South Surrey district football XI.

A lot of things have changed in my poor England since then.  But I will never relinquish the view ... my touchstone, absolute and unbreakable ... that none of it is legitimate, none of it must stand.  I will never concede the legitimacy of what has been done against our will and with malice aforethought, and never resile from my conviction that my fellow countrymen - the ones who are weak or still far from wakefulness - must be told how it was and must be again.

Fred was wholly correct when he suggested that you should be blogging here from the writer’s slate.  I suspect you know that, and hope you will get in touch as promised.

From Petula Clark’s ’Downtown‘ in 1964 to ‘The MC5’s Ramblin’ Rose’ in 1969. It’s mind-boggling how fast the white youth culture degenerated. Drugs combined with counter-culture ideologies were the one-two punch that knocked the sense out of a large segment of the 60’s, and then subsequent generations.

Excellently put by GW there, a statement which I endorse with all my heart and every fiber of my being.

That is a most worthy sentiment and endeavor, the latter of which I certainly hope that you will succeed in.

That was an effort/attempt to capture the youth of the time, and indeed for all time…ie the people who were to be the Bush’s, Clinton’s, Blair’s, etc, of today.

I once actually saw an interview with a person who was a member of the corporate US media at the time (ie late 1960’s) who declared that that there had been no meaningful naturally occurring ‘counter-culture’ revolution of the youth at the time, until the media kept repeating over and over that there was one underway, and kept repeating it afterward that one had taken place, and people in time simply accepted that that was the case.    The tail wagging the dog a bit it seems.  That also fits (at least for the US, though I suspect it could well be true elsewhere) about the drug use statistics for the young (ie teen-agers, young adults) not showing a marked rise till the early 1970’s, well after  the conclusion of the 1960’s.

Also, college yearbooks from the late 1960’s will show (for the most part) the young being as conservative in dress and appearance as ever.

The ‘cultural revolution’ of the late 1960’s in the US, UK, and the West as a whole, was every bit a top-down affair (as opposed to coming from the bottom up) as was the collapse of the Soviet Union and the Eastern bloc, ie ‘the fall of Communism’, in the late 1980’s.
