They’re blowing it at a founding principles level.  By making their “minimal” rights a laundry list, they are asking for trouble from an activist judiciary and verbal sophists.

There should be only one right, from which all others are derived by the mutual consent of parties forming microstates:

The right to join together with others of like mind for jurisdiction over territory with carrying capacity sufficient for their numbers.

If there are problems with this right, then there are problems with all the others because no other rights are meaningful without the right to independent living space—and with independent living space all other rights are tenable.

From their Minimal Rights and Freedoms of Individuals in a Sovereign State, here is their laundry list that is just begging for abuse from the kinds of folks who have now destroyed the United States:

Rights to
              Life, liberty, security
              Equality before the law
              Trial before competent tribunal, due process, counsel, appeal
              Possess property and not be arbitrarily deprived thereof
              Periodic elections with universal adult suffrage
              Secession by any coherent unit

Freedoms of
              Speech, opinion, expression in any media
              Peaceable assembly, association
              Belief, thought, religion, worship
              Movement within any state, and to leave and return

Freedoms from
              Slavery or servitude
              Discrimination on the basis of race, color, sex, religion, 
                  political belief, nationality, property, or birth
              Torture or degrading treatment
              Arbitrary arrest or detention
              Invasion of privacy
              Arbitrary deprivation of citizenship
              Any action by the state to destroy or deny any of these rights and freedoms

What can be expected from libertoon dogmatists whose primary concerns are recreational drugs and sex? 

At least they are trying.  Got to give them credit for that.

Dogma prevents libertoons from understanding that exclusion is implicit with free association.  Thus they’re unable to reason that far.

The 3rd Secessionist Conference was scheduled to take place this past weekend in Manchester, NH.  I went to the hotel for the “3 p.m. and on” registration, but there wasn’t a soul in sight, except for three desk clerks who exchanged perplexid expressions over what “secessionist” meant, but who said the conference and the registration were listed there in their books—-there was also a nicely printed sign in front of the reserved room, which was empty.  I left after a few minutes, and by the next morning I had decided not to bother attending because when I got home, I opened the most recent email I’d gotten from the Middlebury Institute and I noted that a Burton Cohen, New Hampshire coordinator (self-appointed?), was giving the Welcome speech and doing a panel and workshop, and I had no interest in supporting, no less following, a person named Cohen.

I’ve tried to find mention of the conference at several websites/blogs, including NH papers, but failed.  When I added League of the South (past conference attendees) to the Search, I still found nothing about the conference, but I did find two recent SPLC reports:

Secessionists, Unite!

    Over the course of the weekend of November 14-16, I had the pleasure of attending the Third North American Secessionist Convention. The event was held in Manchester, New Hampshire and was sponsored by the Middlebury Institute. I was there as an observer. While I do not personally represent or even belong to any actual secessionist organization, I am very supportive of the idea of secession by regions and localities as a means towards the end of abolishing the American empire. Indeed, I have at times used the phrase “empire abolitionist” to describe my political outlook.

    About fifty-five persons were in attendance, including both delegates from secessionist organizations and independent observers such as myself. Dr. Kirkpatrick Sale of the Middlebury Institute kicked things off on Friday night with a discussion of how the times are indeed right for secessionism. Secession has received a certain amount of attention in the media recently because of events such as those concerning South Ossetia, the rise of the Scottish independence movement, the ongoing struggle of the Quebec secessionists and the controversy surrounding Sarah Palin and the Alaskan Independence Party. Three dozen pro-secession groups now exist in North America and some, such as the Southern National Congress, are working to build a real political organization. The Middlebury Insitute recently commissioned a Zogby poll, the results of which showed that twenty-two percent of Americans support the right of states to become independent republics and eighteen percent would actually support a secession movement in their own region.

    Former New Hampshire state senator Burt Cohen also spoke on Friday night and made a compelling argument that the present day United States is simply too large to be governed efficiently, insisting that “the only way to reduce the size of government is to reduce the size of the unit to be governed.” Ian Baldwin of Vermont Commons discussed the recent election of Barack Obama and suggested that while the election results were a great achievement for African-Americans, it remains to be seen whether Obama will undo the evils of the Bush regime such as the attacks on habeus corpus that have transpired over the last eight years. Mr. Baldwin expressed hopes that Obama will do well as president, but insisted that “by his deeds we shall know him.”

      On Saturday, delegates from various secessionist movements across North America presented reports. The first of these was also one of the most interesting. Several representatives of the movement to restore Hawaiian sovereignty discussed the history of the original conquest of the Hawaiian Islands, originally a constitutional monarchy with its own unique culture, by the United States over a hundred years ago. Next up was Larry Kilgore, a conservative Christian activist and Texas secessionist who ran for the Senate in the Texas GOP primary on an explicitly secessionist platform and received over two hundred thousand votes, approximately nineteen percent of the votes cast. Mr. Kilgore had previously run for Governor of Texas as a secessionist and received six percent of the vote. Keith Humphrey, a representative of another conservative Christian group, the Christian Exodus Project, mentioned that members of his organization had relocated to various places, including South Carolina, Idaho and even Panama, with the goal of establishing independent, self-sufficient Christian communities. He also urged Christians to “purge themselves of the idolatry of statism” and practice what he called “personal secession” by depending on God and the Christian community rather than the state, and avoiding statist institutions through such practices as midwifery, refusing to obtain a Social Security card or birth certificates for children, establishing home schools and home-based businesses, using private currencies and engaging in barter, avoiding corporate jobs and training children in independent living.

    A gentleman advocating an independent Long Island called for what he termed a “triple secession,” whereby Long Island would secede from the New York City, from the state of New York, and from the United States. Fellow Virginian Tom Moore of the League of the South, the largest secessionist organization in the U.S., discussed the recent LOS conference in Chattanooga, the theme of which involved surviving the collapse of the empire with an emphasis on regional self-sufficiency concerning food and energy production. Advocates of an independent South will be meeting on December 5 in Hendersonville, N.C. to form a parallel, shadow government for the original thirteen states of the old Confederacy, plus Maryland. One hundred and twenty delegates are expected to attend, including Kirkpatrick Sale as a delegate from South Carolina. Among the business to be discussed at this first Southern National Congress, modeled on the old Continental Congress of the Revolutionary War era,  will be a “remonstrance and petition for redress of grievances” and an appeal to the empire to “cease and desist” from its present lawless and corrupt activities.

    One of the more colorful speakers was Alaskan gold miner Dexter Clark of the Alaskan Independence Party, who mentioned that his movement has been denounced by everyone from the mainstream media to Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. to the “Doonesbury” comic strip. He also clarified the AIP’s relationship with Sarah Palin, noting that while Palin never belonged to the AIP, her husband Todd belonged to the party for seven years. Mr. Clark also showed a video of a CNN report on the Alaskan Independence Party, and discussed the party’s history and its firebrand founder, the late Joe Vogler. He argued that lack of political will is the primary obstacle to formulating resistance to the empire and mentioned the need for young people to get involved. Businesses under the burden of federal regulation were also discussed as possible allies for the secessionist cause.

    Thomas Naylor of the Second Vermont Republic and author of “Downsizing the U.S.A”, a decentralist masterpiece, talked about Vermont’s traditions of small towns, schools, businesses, farms and sense of community, along with its town meeting tradition. Naylor also engaged in an extensive discussion of the obstacles to secession raised by skeptics, including the legacy of the “Lincoln myth” that Thomas DiLorenzo has roundly debunked, the failure of the Confederate secession during the Civil War, concerns about economic feasibility, risks of potential violence and excessive nationalism. Dennis Steele of Vermont’s Green Mountain Brigade, a veteran of the Ron Paul movement, talked about why he formed a grassroots organization for the purpose of raising awareness concerning the issue of secession.

    A fascinating lecture was provided by a longtime activist in the movement for the secession of the Quebec province of Canada, including a comprehensive overview of the many political difficulties the movement has dealt with over the decades. Robert Pritchard of the United Republic of Texas outlined a model for a “panarchic” system of government for an independent Texas, whereby competing governments might operate within the same territorial area. Such as concept is alien to much of American political culture, but a similar model functioned for centuries during the era of medieval Europe with its polycentric system of manorial, canon, royal, merchant and common law, and during the period of rule of the Middle East by the Ottoman Empire with its millet system.  Carolyn Chute of the Second Maine Militia mentioned that while Maine is second only to Alaska in the number of private firearms in the state, the number of murders there is quite low compared to many other parts of the nation where gun laws are more restrictive.

    A fellow from New Hampshire’s libertarian Free State project talked about the widely divergent activities of his own movement, ranging from running for the state house (some have even been elected!) to civil disobedience to forming alternative economic models such as barter networks and “time banks.” Sebastian Cronin, founder of the Novocadia Independence Party, which advocates formation of a separate republic by the North Atlantic states of the US and the Maritime Provinces of Canada, gave an extended presentation on peak oil. Mr. Cronin expressed his belief that a worldwide energy crisis will be the catalyst that leads to an explosion of secessionist and decentralist tendencies worldwide.

    After Saturday night’s banquet, Kirkpatrick Sale gave an interesting talk exploring the question of why there is at present so little resistance to the empire given its many, many crimes, the recent obscenity of the Wall Street “bailout”, one of the largest transfers of wealth from the people to the ruling class in history, being foremost among them. Dr. Sale also expressed considerable skepticism of the coming Obama administration, suggesting that the recent federal takeover of the financial institutions combined with the election of a messianic political figure could be the beginning of a full-blown American fascism.

      On this latter point, I am regrettably inclined to agree. Certainly the ground work has been laid for such a phenomenon. The escalating wars on drugs, crime and terrorism given to us by the Nixon-Reagan-Bush-Clinton-Bush legacy have created the infrastructure of a police state. The outgoing regime of George W. Bush established precedents for both formal eradication of due process domestically and unapologetic aggressive warfare internationally. This is the apparatus of state that Obama, his associates, and the oligarchy whom they serve stand to inherit. An additional complication is that because Mr. Obama is a man of color, any criticism of his actions or policies as president will inevitably be met with wild accusations of bigotry and prejudice.

      Though the present level of public apathy is no doubt quite high, and perhaps made higher still by the false hopes fueled by the media-circus associated with the election of Obama, it would still seem that a mass secession by regions and communities reflecting a wide divergence of cultural and ideological values, but with a common emphasis on the values of decentralism and self-sufficiency, would be the best alternative to the present system. The empire certainly cannot endure forever. No empire ever does. Sadly, it will likely take disasters much greater than the ones we have seen thus far to make such an alternative seem viable to many. At least someone is there to cast the first stone and say the emperor is indeed without clothes.

That’s excellent news. 

Clearly, a few of these groups are probably nothing more than marijuana smokers and drug users who merely want the federal government off their backs. 

And none of these men or groups talks about race, ethnicity, race-replacment, or the equivalent.  John Jay, one of the Founding Fathers of the Second British North American Republic, did.  He talked about it as explicitly as Congressman Vail did in that moving statement made during the Congressional debates on the (Jewish) attempt to defeat what became the 1924 immigration law.

I have faith that 1) there are men in at least some of these groups who know what’s up with race and race-replacement, who will quietly steer things in the right directions, and that 2) even if I’m wrong about there being such men in some of these groups, generic aracial secession is still better for us now, and take our chances with that, than certain and imminent racial death at the hands of the combined forces of the Jews (they run the U.S., the U.K., and France), the communists (the E.U.), and the crony capitalists (Bush etc.).

As for prospects for success:  scoffers are invited to consider a tiny, insignificant, utterly powerless group which met in the little village church of Scrooby, England, at the start of the 1600s and went on to found nothing less than the United States and Canada.  The thing is, we don’t know but we just have to try.  There’s nothing else for us to do:  the road we are on now is marked with a signpost reading “Death.”

I’ll just add that I’m in favor of anything that works.  If there’s something that will work better than formal secession — for example, the sort of informal secession GT advocated, with separate microcommunities engaging in a separate internal barter-based economy — I’m for it.  Several of the participants at the conference seem to have advocated exactly that, judging by the report Jean West posted in her comment.

I’m for whatever works.  I’m not dogmatic.  But we have to get off the road we’re on.  The other side, our overlords consisting of the Jews, the communists, and the crony capitalists, will never stop until we’re annihilated.  That much should by now be crystal-clear to everybody with eyes.  If everybody will simply open their eyes, we can do this peacefully.

I’m surprised that anyone here could speak well of Kirkpatrick Sale. Doesn’t anyone here recall his one-sided attack on the European cross-Atlantic travels in the late 1400s and early 1500s at the time of the commemoration of the fifth century anniversary of Columbus’ travels in 1992? 

His vituperative hatreds toward the diverse white American peoples and their European origins were on full display.  I’ve always thought his name should be inscribed in the same book of hate that Morris Dees occupies…persons to be indicted for high crimes against the diverse white American peoples when the time comes.

Nothing wrong with revisionist history—provided all aspects of the question are studied. Kirkpatrick Sale’s parade of horribles was simply a vastly unbalanced “trash the white guys” screed, and it was given great publicity in all the left-wing racialist organs that deliver the news to our homes.

We really have to remember what happened just 16 years ago, and guard against left-wing racialists like Kirkpatrick Sale.

Bo, I did not know that about Kirkpatrick Sale.  (Didn’t know anything about him.)  Thanks for that warning.

A few years ago I was in touch with a person in the New Hampshire secessionist group to ask what sort of immigration policy they had in mind for after independence.  The person made it clear there would be no attention paid to the demographic or ethnoracial dimension of immigration or anything else:  they envisioned something that was strictly race-blind.  Instantly of course I mentally classified that group as of less than zero interest.  Professor Michael Hill who heads the League of the South, an overtly secessionist organization, always makes a point of saying the LoS is not any sort of “whites preferred” group but is indifferent to race.  I’m not so sure I believe that.  BUT ... my present position is secession whether racial or aracial is preferable to what we have now.  Let’s get secession going and we’ll work out the demography details latere.

As far as I’m concerned, by the way, the South is already independent:  it’s the Confederate States of America and is under illegal, illegitimate, criminal Yankee occupation.  Thus is it not a question of seceding:  that’s already been done and voted on in 1860 and ‘61.  The South seceded.  It’s an independent, sovereign nation.  Nothing changes that:  not the drunk butcher Grant, not the sadistic civilian-marauding “total war” war criminal Sherman, not the Constitution-shredding tyrant Lincoln.  Now it’s only a question of throwing off the Yankee yoke, throwing off the invader, the occupier-tyrant.  Every state in Dixie is a state under military occupation.  That war is not over and will not be over till justice be done.  Nothing’s over.  Everything is in play; no outcome is settled, nor will any be, till justice be done.

Even the Union Troops suffered from this general…at the end of the Atlanta Campaign, after the Scandinavian Battalion, (the Wisconsin 15th) had lost two thirds of their numbers, a surviving officer, made the comment, “seems like he is trying to kill us too”...This was just after Sherman had made the disasterous frontal assault at Kennesaw Mountain, a tactic that was not used again by the US Army until the Second World War. It seems Sherman went to West Point with the Confederate General, Johnston, and wanted to show just what he was capable of….

The future is a multiracial police state with a sprinkling of mud front men, jews pulling strings from behind the scenes, and a multiracial servant class on the bottom.  White technocrats in the middle will keep the system afloat.  There will be no sudden downward spiral resulting in anarchy.  Financial “losses” for most of us will be limited to the “value” of our “property” (bank rentals) and retirement accounts, which were built on real estate speculation and grossly inflated in any case.  Little pink tract homes “purchased” with VA “loans” for $119K in 1987, for example, were not worth $425K in 2005.  Yes, the system can be kept afloat.  White cultural dissolution and economic devolution are gradual.  It must be.  The white middle-class is in the process of being taught to get by with less..and less..and less – that’s all.  The majority of us are not threatened with the immediate loss of our computers, television, air conditioning, dishwashers, washing machines, or bank rented shelter.  What is happening is that the days of easy money for middle-class whites are coming to an end.  This is the scenario the teacups at MR and shit-talkers at VNN must accept as reality.

If the bottom 70% of whites are to survive, then the system must be fought at some point.  There is no escaping it.  Better to begin preparations now (our preparations should have begun 50 years ago) through locally informal social, economic, and political organization.  Informal first, formal later.  For now we must be explicit in our personal relationships and implicit in the public sphere.  Public explicitness comes later.  But it’s almost too late.  Hell, it probably is too late.  Nevertheless if we don’t start now, then we’re goners for certes.  Truthfully, my bet is we’re goners.  Why?  Online racialists are no different from white “anti-racists” employed within the system’s public and “private” spheres:  The prospect of easy money induces saliva.  The huge egos and thin wallets of easy online racialism’s little “big men” depend upon promoting “revolutionary” anarchy and receiving small monthly donations from pensioned urbanites.  Localism and physical work don’t sell.

The current economic crisis will wipe out the structures of global liberal capitalism, the current economic crisis will bring the corporate world on its knees and crush the hubris of the economists and corporate captains - these high priests of liberal capitalism will have to admit that they know nothing and that their god is dead.

American memory is nonexistent.  European memory is not much better.  Every generation must re-experience the lessons learned by previous generations.  Apparently this applies to “intellectuals,” as well.

Global liberal capitalism is in the process of re-consolidating and changing the face of its front men – that is all.

Rich men didn’t support Obama to inflict heavy taxation upon themselves or see the source of their wealth “brought to its knees.”

Time grows short.  A hate speech bill with teeth is coming.  There isn’t much time left to sell the Turner Diary scenario.  What’s next on the agenda?

If “hate speech” legislation is passed I don’t think it is unreasonable to expect an epic battle in the courts over its clear unconstitutional infringement upon our First Amendment rights.  That alone could force the public to look at the dirt that some wish to keep hidden under the rug.  Buchanan would have a field day with it.

The outcome is not debatable.  A pre-ordained consensus will follow the “public” exchange of hot air, and the losers marginalized.

That alone could force the public to look at the dirt that some wish to keep hidden under the rug.

WASHINGTON (AFP) – US elected officials scored abysmally on a test measuring their civic knowledge, with an average grade of just 44 percent, the group that organized the exam said Thursday.

Ordinary citizens did not fare much better, scoring just 49 percent correct on the 33 exam questions compiled by the Intercollegiate Studies Institute (ISI).

“It is disturbing enough that the general public failed ISI’s civic literacy test, but when you consider the even more dismal scores of elected officials, you have to be concerned,” said Josiah Bunting, chairman of the National Civic Literacy Board at ISI.

“How can political leaders make informed decisions if they don’t understand the American experience?” he added.

The exam questions covered American history, the workings of the US government and economics.

Buchanan would have a field day with it.

A question for pshaw:  according to Jean West’s correspondent, who was present at the Secessionist Conference, a number of secessionist-minded groups have adopted a strategy of forming semi-independent microcommunities linked together by a barter economy.  Isn’t that a “boots-on-the-ground” beginning?  Instead of condemning the “hot air” produced by the Buchanans and by web-sites such as this one, wouldn’t it be useful to actually join one of those groups who are doing it the right way?  Why take the “glass half-empty” approach when you could take the “glass half-full” approach?  I believe both are needed, this sort of thing we do here, and that sort of boots-on-the-ground activity, and the individuals best suited to each should do that which they are best suited for.

The League of the South, which is the best-organized secessionist group to date, advocates something similar to microcommunities although I don’t believe they’ve made mention of a barter economy yet.  Why not join them and be part of their boots-on-the-gound effort?

The White message has been relegated to the fringe of cyberspace for some time now.  My crystal ball says Buchanan, et al, won’t have the slightest effect on forthcoming hate speech restrictions and there will be no successful court challenge.  Therefore, I must repeat the question: What’s next after the new restrictions backed by imprisonment sever ‘White’ from the message in the public sphere?  Any ideas?  None right now?  I strongly advise you, you behind him, and you over there to seriously think about it.

If we can’t or won’t say “White” period it seems that their is not much hope.  Most people are too damn dumb to understand the full range of issues and evidence/arguments marshaled by our side when done is an explicit manner.  Assuming we can get away with at least whispering it, we can play up the hypocrisy of it, how it is such a fundamental break with the past, and how it is TANGIBLE evidence of the anti-White thrust of the system.  Also, if some are prepared for martyrdom, they may just speak out anyways in acts of civil disobedience.

From what I have read so far ...where have you people been secluding yourselves..under a rock? The financial crisis originated in 1913 when the illegal FED was created by big money bankers and industrialists whom by the way own this so-called government-lock, stock, and barrel. This present day financial crisis just didn’t blossom in the last 10 years or less.  Someone must be smoking pot to elude themselves from reality.

This financial crisis was planned to bring about the NAU and The new World order and world -wide slave labor classes and the upper elite. PERIOD.  Obama is a puppet as well of this shadow government. There is so much power behind this whole mess it would take up too much space to wake you boneheads up-if that was possible. Do you want to hear some ridiculous reality…Congress just passed a law without members of congress reading the bill first..stating that selling clothing not tested for any contaminants , lead, etc. after February 12 a crime. That shuts down the Salvation Army thrift stores, Goodwill Industries, and other such little stores and YES YARD SALES TOO where people can buy used , clean clothes because they can’t afford the “FAT CAT PRICES” at The large expensive stores thanks to these same moron politicians who helped make a financial mess even worse and TOO DA** LAZY to read bills before they sign them. SO wake the HE** up and do some research. What’s next…...we can’t buy organic food, certain brands of diapers, toilet tissue???WILL YOU? I would like the option as to how I can have the oprion on how I get rid of these parasites…shoot them..kick their asses out of this country, just tie a concrete block around one of their legs and throw them a in the Potomic River and let them drown-nope can’t do that they would polute the river for ever BETTER IDEA…put them on Christmas Island where the stupid scientists exloded an atomic bomb on—it MIGHT be livable by now and let them live or die there who cares.

This past election was a typical example of how duped, dumbed down, and lazy the voters were with their eyes glues to the boob tube and believing everything they heard without as little as checking the voting records of those whom were running for any office nationally on www.congress.org.
