Ayaan Hirsi Ali on the “Left” and “Multiculturalism”(I like the post below so much that I have lifted it bodily from Transatlantic Intelligencer) “The Somali-born Dutch parliamentarian Ayaan Hirsi Ali has long been the object of death threats from Dutch Islamists. Since the murder last November 8 of Theo Van Gogh, she is under 24 hour police protection. Hirsi Ali describes herself as an “apostate” from Islam. In an interview published in last week’s issue of the French weekly L’Express [link in French] she says: “Since the September 11 attacks, I no longer believe in God. In the eyes of the fundamentalists who threaten me, that justifies my being put to death. They accuse me of ‘insulting’ the Prophet, of saying that Islam oppresses women, of ‘collaborating with the enemy’, that’s to say, with non-Muslims.” Hirsi Ali’s break with Islam has been widely publicized. Perhaps less known is her break with the “left”. Originally, a member of the Dutch Labor Party, Hirsi Ali left the latter to join the classical liberal (I think this term will now be understood by Trans-Int regulars. In case of doubt, see discussion here.) VVD. L’Express asked her why. Here is her response:-

Moroccans ... .” (—Braveheart) Yes, the “community work” you must do as part of your restitution in that case amounts to getting two knives in your chest, as poor van Gogh got: one to finish you off after the slitting of your throat to the point of your near-beheading, the other to hold the hand-written sign in place telling how you offended Allah by being anti-Moslem. Who among the native whites over there is going to risk speaking out against what’s going on when judges have already meted out penalties like this (community-service work among Moroccans for the crime of “hate-speech against Islam”)? No one, obviously—no one who wants to live, that is ... 5

Or has the Dutch population converted to the Satanic cult of Islam or Muhammadism,can they fend against the French Islamists or even the Brittish Islamists or the Spanish ones,what about the tribal Islamists in Europe bloody hell.At least you get OIL. The last I read about the Theo van Gogh murder is that the mastermind behind the Hofstad-group is a Syrian, who BTW is now safely back in Syria. And if you consider that Harriri and Gemayel in the Lebanon were murdered by the Syrian secret service… then I privately already have drawn the conclusion that there is going on much more than an individual who executed the murder on his own initiative… Also remind the sect of the assassins in Syria. Murdering infidels or whoever they don’t like is a Syrian custom that goes back to the time of the Crusades. From l’Express : Parler librement est en effet le seul moyen de mettre au jour le fardeau de l’islam.
Indeed, what we need is freedom of speech to shed light on what Islam really is. But that’s just the aspect that is most of all in danger these days, at least in Belgium.
