Blowing Bubbles

With the British economy mired in the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression, David Cameron is already planning for the next bubble. The current economic problems are due in large part to the minority mortgage meltdown, catalyzed by legislation requiring US lenders to increase minority access to capital. The debts were bundled and sold around the world, leading to the global financial crisis of 2007-2010 (and beyond). Typically, banks will not behave recklessly with their money, which is reflected in lending practices. And prior to US governmental interference in the mortgage industry, these lending practices resulted in nearly equal mortgage default rates between the races, as shown by Peter Brimelow when he worked at Forbes Magazine. If one is to be fair to the US banks as regards their public bailouts, the government really did bear a large share of the blame for passing lending liberalization laws in the first place. Though perhaps the banks did not protest as much as one would expect, confident that whoever told them to behave recklessly would help them out if things went pear shaped. However blame is to be apportioned, one would hope that lessons would be learned, at least in private, and we would not have a repeat of such silliness.

Perhaps it’s just empty rhetoric in the run up to the election, but David Cameron wants us to believe that he is intent on repeating the mistakes from the US mortgage meltdown. In today’s Guardian, he promises to change black Britain. He writes:

I want to take down the barriers that prevent so many black people realising their potential. In part, we’ll do this through our core reform agenda. By tackling the causes of poverty, like poor schooling, family breakdown, addiction and welfare dependency, we can succeed where Labour has failed.

But we won’t just rely on across-the-board measures to boost social mobility. We’ll introduce concerted action to overcome the racial barriers that exist in Britain today. One of the most obvious is when it comes to starting a business: Conservatives have always believed that enterprise is a powerful catalyst for social mobility. However, too many black people in Britain today are being denied the opportunity to start their own business and get on in life.

This is not because of a lack of aspiration. Research has shown that almost a third of black people in England want to start their own business, compared with just 9% of the white population. However, only 4% of black people do manage to launch a startup – a level lower than any other ethnic group.

Accessing finance and advice are the key challenges for would-be black entrepreneurs. According to one study, black entrepreneurs are four times more likely to be denied a bank loan outright than white entrepreneurs, while the UK Survey of Small and Medium Enterprises shows that as many as a quarter of black entrepreneurs report problems in accessing finance.

A Conservative government will help tackle these barriers by turning Labour’s failing welfare schemes into a radical plan to get Britain working. This will include funding for a national mentoring programme for black people who want to start a business. It will provide would-be black entrepreneurs with the targeted support, advice – and, crucially, role models – they need to access finance and work for themselves.

So a Conservative government will tackle the racial barriers in Labour’s Britain. We’ll bring new energy to the task of building a country where everyone has an equal opportunity to succeed, irrespective of the colour of their skin.

And how much money will be squandered if it’s mandated that Negroes and Whites should have the same loan rejection rate? If the choice is between giving a Negro the dole or setting him up with a new business, I’m choosing to give him the dole. And why not focus on the disparity between the 9% of Britons who think they can start a business versus the 31% of Negroes? Shouldn’t that 31% be setting off alarm bells, like, hey these guys have an inflated sense of self-worth. Why not find out whether Negroes are defaulting at lower rates on their business loans before suggesting that there is something unfair about current lending practices? That would require thinking outside the framework of Negro victimhood. George Lincoln Rockwell said that a National Socialist is someone who is concerned about his race, whereas a conservative is concerned about his money. What, pray tell, is David Cameron?

Well, I thought it was obvious. Cameron is either a jew, or a jew puppet who is out to destroy European Caucasians. Nothing whatsoever to do with economics, money or helping blacks.

It’s our fate for not “embracing” communism after the dust from WW2 settled.

Actually, quite a few blacks over here have already made resounding successes of their very own business ventures.
They do remarkably well in two related spheres of business activity: dealing drugs and running gangs.
Many individuals of colour have also performed impressively at a more humble level, displaying energy, verve, ingenuity and resource as self-employed redistrubutors of mobile phones and handbags.
Let us be proud and thankful that many native whites in the UK have laid down their lives in a selfless effort to assist our coloured brethren up life’s ladder.

An advance-fee fraud is a confidence trick in which the target is persuaded to advance sums of money in the hope of realizing a significantly larger gain. Among the variations on this type of scam, are the Nigerian Letter (also called the 419 fraud, Nigerian scam, Nigerian bank scam, or Nigerian money offer the Spanish Prisoner, the black money scam as well as Russian/Ukrainian scam (also extremely widespread, though far less popular than the former). The so-called Russian and Nigerian scams stand for wholly dissimilar organised-crime traditions; they therefore tend to use altogether different breeds of approaches.

Although similar to older scams such as the Spanish Prisoner, the modern 419 scam originated in the early 1980s as the oil-based Nigerian economy declined. Several unemployed university students first used this scam as a means of manipulating business visitors interested in shady deals in the Nigerian oil sector before targeting businessmen in the west, and later the wider population. Scammers in the early-to-mid 1990s targeted companies, sending scam messages via letter, fax, or Telex. The spread of e-mail and easy access to e-mail-harvesting software significantly lowered the cost of sending scam letters by using the Internet. In the 2000s, the 419 scam has spurred imitations from other locations in Africa, Asia and Eastern Europe, and, more recently, from North America, Western Europe (mainly United Kingdom and Netherlands), and Australia.

The number “419” refers to the article of the Nigerian Criminal Code (part of Chapter 38: “Obtaining Property by false pretences; Cheating”) dealing with fraud. The American Dialect Society has traced the term “419 fraud” back to 1992.

The advance-fee fraud is similar to a much older scam known as the Spanish Prisoner scam in which the trickster tells the victim that a rich prisoner promised to share treasure with the victim in exchange for money to bribe prison guards. An older version of this scam existed by the end of 18th century, and is called “the Letter From Jerusalem” by Eugène François Vidocq, in his memoirs.

Insa Nolte, a lecturer of University of Birmingham’s African Studies Department, stated that “The availability of e-mail helped to transform a local form of fraud into one of Nigeria’s most important export industries.”

Embassies and other organizations warn visitors to various countries about 419. Countries in West Africa with warnings cited include Nigeria, Ghana Benin, Côte d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast), Togo, Senegal and Burkina Faso. Countries outside West Africa with 419 warnings cited include South Africa,Spain, and the Netherlands.

In 1982, South Asian immigrant businessmen persuaded the Reagan Administration to reclassify Asian Indians from Caucasian to Asian so that they would be eligible for minority business development low-interest loans from the Small Business Administration and for breaks on federal contracting. (Hasidic Jews were given special privileges in 1982 as well.) According to a 2005 report by the Office of the Inspector General of the Small Business Administration (the SBA): “In 1982, the SBA designated ‘Asian Indian Americans’ as a socially disadvantaged group.”

The 2010 Census will likely reveal that of the 15 specified racial groups on the Census form, “Asian Indians” have the highest average incomes.

Wouldn’t it be a right and fitting gesture for Indian-American groups to announce publicly (before the 2010 Census results are published) that they no longer need these economic breaks? “We’d like to thank the American people for their kindness in granting us these favors, but 28 years is enough. Therefore, we’re requesting that we South Asians no longer get special treatment by the government.”
