Damned dams and who is damning them

Dams and the hydroelectric power stations that accompany them are being destroyed under phony environmental concerns.

The process in part achieves rural depopulation and increases the cost of rural habitation so that only the rich can live beyond the cities and suburbs: http://prfamerica.org/1998/LandForDams.html

The uninhabited land will increasingly end up in the hands of bankers as governments owe them staggering amounts of debt that can’t be paid off as the bankers create debts out of nothing and the only money created by governments comprises of coins.

Cutting off a convenient source of electricity is another useful goal for the bankers as they can more easily disrupt the supply of fossil fuels used for generating electricity in a region, raising the cost of electricity or bringing the inhabitants to a grind if they protest too much against the banking system.

R-News, can you comment on the dam issue coverage in the film ‘Blue Gold: World Water Wars’? Do you think that film or the information in it might be a form of controlling the opposition by the bankers?

Why are we playing this mug’s energy game when we have nuclear energy?

My sentiments exactly.

It’s probably because here in America we don’t have a tradition of speaking a “language of limits” and we all know how limitless the energy produced by falling water is compared to the energy released from nuclear fission….

Or maybe us stupidz Amerikwanz are soz dumb that we just can’t bring ourselfs to use the stuffz the Frenchies are using.

Certainly it isn’t because Tucker Maxx from Goldman Sachs needz a new pair of shoez?!???!

R-news is my account.  I haven’t seen the movie ‘Blue Gold: World Water Wars’ and can’t review it, but here’s a review by Emeritus Professor and hydrogeologist Michael Campana, including replies by the movie makers:

http://aquadoc.typepad.com/waterwired/2008/12/review.html

The movie apparently has some serious factual errors.  These could result from overzealous but well-meaning people who failed to do proper fact checks or it could be higher-ups [say, bankers] deliberately misdirecting people… I can’t tell.

There’s some possibility of reservoirs created by dams increasing the odds of local earthquakes, but the people who designed the dams and picked their locations should’ve taken this into account [e.g., not building reservoirs in the neighborhood of fault lines].

@CL

There are two issues with nuclear power stations.  The first’s nuclear waste, which can’t just be dropped in the trash can for the local garbage pickup to deal with.  The second is that the problem community has clearly hinted at its plans to blow up nuclear power stations as false flag operations; you can read up on it here:

http://www.majorityrights.com/norwegian.massacre#battleplan

So the places where nuclear power stations aren’t dangerous are those in the neighborhood of regions where lots of people belonging to this community live as they’ll surely not blow up a nuclear station in their backyard.  This was seen on 9/11.  Real terrorists would’ve rammed the planes into the closer nuclear station than the farther twin towers, sending many community members to Hell and making the region uninhabitable for thousands of years.

Because it is nonsense. Hebrew gained Greek loans from Hellenic Jews speaking and translating Greek, Greek gained from Hebrew — and it exhibits some very archaic Semitic loans that predate the arrival of Indo-Europeans in the Balkans and Greek peninsula. It is possible that whatever language was spoken by the native Pelasgians (googo’ dat for the debate) was influenced by Semitic well before the Indo-Europeans colonized the peninsula.

http://anthrocivitas.net/forum/archive/index.php/t-10489.html

If you ask ten-thousand people what “Proto-Indo-European” means, approximately ten will say “Oh yea, my history professor mentioned something about that,” while exactly one will know what is meant. My point is that Greek and Hebrew stem from completely different language families, but of course, as most literate men know, were in long and intimate contact in the Levant among the yidden. This is sufficient explanation for loans. Otherwise one would have to stretch the grammatical structure to “derive” one from the other, which is exactly the sort of scholarship that was done 160 years ago before the discovery of the Indo-European family. Scholars, eager to substantiate the Bible, would derive Greek from Hebrew and the like, that being the program of the grammar schools. Some really eccentric types would derive Gaelic from Hebrew, etc.

All rubbish. While Greek has a comparatively low PIE quotient (sthg like -70%) in vocabulary, the majority of the rest being from Pelasgian, the grammar is solidly — and beautifully — Indo-European.

No offense, Reis. I think you’re an estimable presence.
