Do you know any heroes around here?

Do you know any heroes around here?

In the film “Enemy at the Gates” Stalin’s deputy to Stalingrad Nikita Khrushchev ask the political commissar Danilov the above question.

On many websites associated with the British National Party the terms “Nazi” and “fascist” are prominently displayed as by-words of opprobrium. In fact, the BNP and its most violent opponent the UAF accuse each other of being “Nazis” and “fascists.”

Is the fact that a person was a Nazi or a fascist proof of bad character?

Let us examine the public life of a person whose fascist and Nazi credentials cannot be gainsaid.
.

Léon Joseph Marie Ignace Degrelle (June 15, 1906 – April 1, 1994) was a Belgian politician from the French-speaking part of Belgium.  He founded the Christus Rex political party in 1935 and received financial support for Mussolini and Hitler. He volunteered for the Waffen-SS and fought on the Eastern Front. He escaped to Spain and was protected by Franco

Until 1934 Degrelle worked as a journalist for the conservative Roman Catholic journal Christus Rex [Christ the King] in Mexico. This was during the Cristero War (1926 -1929) between the anti-clerical Mexican government and the Catholic resistance.

Five articles of the 1917 Constitution were aimed at suppression of the Roman Catholic Church in Mexican political and civil life. Article 3 mandated secular education in schools. Article 5 outlawed monastic religious orders. Article 24 forbade public religious worship outside temples (which included churches), while Article 27 restricted religious organizations’ rights to own property. Finally, Article 130 took away basic civil rights of members of the clergy: priests and religious leaders were prevented from wearing their religious garb in public, were denied the right to vote, and were not permitted to comment on public affairs in the press.

When Plutarco Elías Calles became the President of Mexico, this atheist and Freemason applied the anti-Catholic provisions of the constitution vigorously and signed into law the “Calles Law” of 1926. Priest were to be heavily fined for wearing clerical garb in public and were subject to five years of imprisonment for criticizing the government. Calles seized church property, expelled all foreign priests, and closed the monasteries, convents and religious schools. It is believed that the Masons awarded him a medal of merit for his persecution of Catholics. It is known that on July 12, 1926, the following communiqué appeared in the press:

“International Masonry accepts responsibility for everything that is happening in Mexico, and is preparing to mobilize all its forces for the methodic, integral application of the agreed upon program for this country.”

Between 1926 and 1934 at least 40 priests were killed. Where there were 4,500 priests serving the people of Mexico before the rebellion, in 1934 there were only 334 priests licensed by the government to serve fifteen million people. The rest had been eliminated by emigration, expulsion and assassination. By 1935, 17 Mexican states had no priest at all. [13]

The war had claimed the lives of some 90,000 people: 56,882 on the federal side, 30,000 Cristeros, and numerous civilians and Cristeros who were killed in anticlerical raids after the war’s end.. As of 2008, the anticlerical provisions of the Constitution remain although they are no longer implemented.

Leon Degrelle reported on and was influenced by his experiences in Mexico. Be became a dedicated crusader against the atheists and Communists.

While a member of the Catholic Party in Belgium founded the Éditions de Rex publishing company. He was inspired by the battle cry of the Cristeros: Long live Christ the King and Holy Mary of Guadalupe.

His Rexist group separated from the Catholic Party in 1935. They advocated a vision of social equality and anti-Communism and they denounced the political corruption common in Belgium.

In 1936, Degrelle met with Benito Mussolini and Adolf Hitler, both of them providing Rexism with funds (2 million lire and 100,000 marks) and ideological support. He also met other fascist leaders including José Antonio Primo de Rivera of Spain and the Rumanian Iron Guard’s Corneliu Zelea Codreanu.

The Parti Rexiste gained 21 seats in the lower house of the Belgian parliament and 12 senate seats in 1936.

After Belgium was invaded by the Germans on May 10, 1940, Degrelle was arrested as a suspected collaborator, and evacuated to France. He was released the Germans. Degrelle returned to Belgium and proclaimed reconstructed Rexism to be in close union with German National Socialism. He did not use his fascist credentials to obtain a privileged position.

When the war began in the East, Degrelle volunteered as a common soldier in the Walloon legion of the Wehrmacht. He was thirty-five years old. The Walloon Legion originally was part of the regular German Army. The Walloons were transferred from the Wehrmacht to the control of the Waffen SS in June 1943, becoming the 5th SS Volunteer Sturmbrigade Wallonien.

What kind of soldier was this thirty-five years old Fascist volunteer?

12.02.1942 Degrelle was made a Gefreiter (German Army). Gefreiter is the German equivalent for Private (OR-2) (US Army E-2) in the armed services. Gefreiter was the lowest rank to which an ordinary soldier could be promoted.

28.02.1942 Degrelle was promoted to Oberfeldwebel (German Army). An Oberfeldwebel was a platoon leader.

13.03.1942 Degrelle was awarded the Order Of The Iron Cross (2nd Class) This honor was awarded for bravery before the enemy or excellence in commanding troops.

21.05.1942 Degrelle was awarded the Order Of The Iron Cross (1st Class) This honor was awarded for continuous bravery before the enemy or excellence in commanding troops after being awarded the preceding class of the Iron Cross

01.05.1942 Degrelle was promoted from the ranks to Lieutenant (German Army).

25.08.1942 Degrelle is awarded the Infantry Assault Badge in Silver. This honor was awarded to infantry soldiers, after following one of these criteria: to have taken part in three or more infantry assaults, to have taken part in three or more infantry counter-attacks,  to have taken part in three or more armed reconnaissance operations, to have engaged in hand to hand combat in an assault position, or to have participated on three separate days in the restitution of combat positions.

15.08.1942 Degrelle was awarded the Eastern Front Medal. This honor recognized the hardship endured by German and Axis Powers personnel, combatant or non-combatant, during the especially bitter Russian winter of ‘41/‘42. The appalling conditions suffered by, mainly, German troops on this front soon led to the medal being nick-named the Gefrierfleischorden” or Frozen Meat Order.

01.06.1943 Degrelle promoted to SS-Obersturmführer d. R. der Waffen-SS. Translated as “Senior Assault (or Storm) Leader”, the rank of Obersturmführer was considered the equivalent of an Oberleutnant in the German Wehrmacht.

30.11.1943 Degrelle was awarded the Close Combat Clasp in Bronze for achievement in hand to hand fighting in close quarters for at least fifteen days.

23.12.1943 Degrelle was awarded the Wound Badge in Silver for soldiers wounded at least three times in battle.

01.01.1944 Degrelle was promoted to SS-Hauptsturmführer d. R. der Waffen-SS. The rank of Hauptsturmführer was a mid-grade company level officer and was the equivalent of a Captain (Hauptmann) in the German Army (Wehrmacht Heer) and about equivalent of captain in foreign armies.

20.02.1944 Degrelle was awarded Order Of The Knight’s Cross Of The Iron Cross. This honor was awarded for continuous bravery before the enemy or excellence in commanding troops after being awarded all preceding classes of the Iron Cross. He received the Knight’s Crossuz from Hitler’s hands (he later claimed Hitler told him “if I had a son, I wish he’d resemble you”).

19.03.1944 Degrelle was awarded the Close Combat Clasp in Silver for achievement in hand to hand fighting in close quarters for thirty days.

19.03.1944 Degrelle was awarded the Wound Badge in Gold for soldiers wounded at least five times in combat.

20.04.1944 Degrelle was promoted to SS-Sturmbannführer d. R. der Waffen-SS. Translated as “Assault (or Storm) Unit Leader” (Sturmbann being the SA and early SS equivalent to a battalion), the rank originated from German Shock Troop units of the First World War where the title of Sturmbannführer would occasionally be held by the Battalion Commander.
In the Waffen-SS, Sturmbannführer was considered equivalent to a Major in the German Wehrmacht

22.08.1944 Mentioned in the Wehrmachtbericht. To be mentioned in this way is an extremely high honor.

27.08.1944 Degrelle was awarded the Order Of The Knight’s Cross Of The Iron Cross With Oak Leaves. This honor was awarded for continuous bravery before the enemy or excellence in commanding troops after being awarded all preceding classes of the Knight’s Cross. Only eight non-Germans were ever awarded this honor.

09.10.1944 Degrelle was awarded the German Cross in Gold. Hitler instituted this award to honor bravery above and beyond the Iron Cross First Class.

14.09.1944 Degrelle was awarded the Close Combat Clasp in Gold for achievement in hand to hand fighting in close quarters for fifty days.

01.01.1945 Degrelle is promoted to SS-Obersturmbannführer d. R. der Waffen-SS. Translated as “Senior Storm Unit Leader was the equivalent to Oberstleutnant (Lieutenant Colonel) in the German Army.

20.04.1945 Degelle is promoted to SS-Standartenführer d. R. der Waffen-SS. This rank was considered the equivalent of a full colonel in the German Army.

After Germany’s defeat, Degrelle fled to Denmark and eventually Norway, where he commandeered a Heinkel He 111 aircraft. He was severely wounded in a crash-landing on the beach at San Sebastian in Northern Spain. The government of Franco refused to hand him over to the Allies (or extradite him to Belgium) by citing his health condition. In 1954, Spain granted him Spanish citizenship under the name José León Ramírez Reina, and the Falange assigned him the leadership of a construction firm that benefited from state contracts.

Degrelle’s wife died during the war and the Belgium government hid Degrelle’s children under different names across the country. Degrelle organized their rescues and the family was reunited in Spain.

Degrelle offered to go to Belgium on condition that he would get a jury trial. The Belgian regime refused him a jury trial, convicted him of treason in absentia and condemned him to death by shooting.

In his old age he organized religious pilgrimages to the shrines in Spain, authored numerous books and maintained his public admiration for Adolf Hitler.

Degrelle was distinguished by exceptional courage and nobility and strength, the very model of a hero.

The last issue of the Catalan journal of popular history carries a photo of Degrelle. The main article talks about an operation to capture Degrelle in Spain in 1961. Of course, Degrelle’s enemies were not worried about “past crimes” of Degrelle, but of his important political activities in Spain.

I was searching for something else when I came across the website for the (US) Air Force Memorial.
http://www.airforcememorial.org/
Look at the photo for “Air Force Heroes”.  Guess they couldn’t find a picture of Chuck Yeager.

I’ve been quite favorably impressed by all the YouTube videos of Degrelle I’ve seen in which he speaks, some half-dozen or so.

MR,

You may be interested in the article linked within my post below, which mentions a similar Waffen connection planned to be used by Gen. Geo. Patton after WWII.  You will find the entire article interesting and useful, I’m sure.

German Patriot Defence Lawyer Sylvia Stolz was sentenced to 3 and-a-half years in prison and disbarred for 5 years.
Below Sylvia’s comments to the court.

She says the Court is perverting and repressing the truth with the cudgel of “Holocaust,” making a mockery of justice. Her trial has made clear the criminal absurdity of prosecuting “Holocaust Denial.” How can one deny something that never existed? She says these entire proceedings began as a show trial in a kangaroo court and never progressed beyond that point. The main proceedings were projected with smoke and mirrors and the official fairy tale of “Holocaust” was enforced by undisguised force. She observes that the political intent of the Court is the ultimate eradication of the German Nation and its replacement by a mongrelized and deculturated population of mindless consumers.

Sylvia says she is confident that she has succeeded in exposing this Court to the whole world as an agent that is hostile to the German Nation. By openly and flagrantly violating the law, this Court flees before the truth. Incessantly, like turning a prayer wheel, it has rejected her every evidentiary motion with the cynical pretext of “abuse of courtprocedure.” ..... She has hope and faith that the German Nation will someday bring this treacherous Court to justice.

Sylvia describes how the Defense was forced to accept the contents of the indictment, and this caused the Court’s desired verdict to be the inevitable consequence. In the absence of material evidence, the Court relied on its infantile rulings that “Abuse of Procedure = Criminal Act.” Thanks to this judicial sleight of hand, there was no assumption of innocence and the Court did not have to prove guilt.

Sylvia asks: to what is Grossmann referring when he mentions “domestic and foreign” court verdicts? Could he be referring to the Nuremberg show trials? The Allied Military Tribunal was nothing but a postwar Talmudic Inquisition conducted by Germany’s enemies. It featured witnesses with “built-in credibility” and Jewish testimony that could never be questioned or authenticated.

She asks: what would people like Grossmann do without the official obligatory fairy tale of “Holocaust?” Her trial has again demonstrated that world political powers are players in the “Holocaust” game (or “Holocaust Industry” as Prof. Norman Finkelstein calls it, he should know, since both of his parents were interned at Auschwitz during the War.) This explains why objective historical research is still suppressed, sixty-three years after the end of the War. As an example of ongoing intellectual repression in Germany Sylvia refers to the “Hermann Case” in which a popular commentator was fired for referring to such positive aspects of National Socialism as its family policy and the construction of Autobahns.

Sylvia demonstrates that the Court’s procedural system is very, very simple. It consists of disallowing all evidentiary motions as “abuse of Court procedure,” which is a criminal act. She says that the District Attorney’s closing tirade was beneath all legal criticism, nothing but purest slander and abuse…..Then Sylvia shows how powerful interests profit greatly by inculcating a negative self-image into German society, with their incessant propaganda and brainwashing. If Germans were as evil as Grossmann depicts them, they would long ago have skinned him alive.

She points out that under the present Talmudic Inquisition, anyone who calls attention to the destructive nature of Judaism can be punished. Glenz tells the Court Reporter to write that remark down as well. Sylvia observes that today, no one is allowed to say anything the least bit derogatory about Jews, and yet the necessary first step toward changing and improving conditions in Germany is recognizing the cause of our malaise. She says that Horst Mahler’s writings provide the proof for this, and she will stand by this assertion. Glenz orders the Reporter: “Put that in too!”

Sylvia continues and remarks that Germany now stands under the yoke of world Judaism. Glenz threatens: “We are going to cut off your final address if…” But Sylvia ignores him and says that following World War II, the real criminals took over the world. Glenz growls “I’m warning you!” but Sylvia again urges the public to consider the causes of Germany’s plight and continue gathering and considering the material evidence. She tells the Court that National Socialism is not dead, regardless of how much Grossmann and his ilk wish it were dead. She says that National Socialism represents what is good and enduring in the German spirit. Idealism and patriotism are rigidly suppressed at this time but they cannot be suppressed forever.

Turning toward Grossmann and the Court, she asks:

“Is he German? Or is he perhaps related to that Moshe Grossmann who for four years following the end of World War II continued torturing and murdering German slaves in the East, as the Jewish author John Sack reports in his book An Eye for an Eye?”

Then she turns to the Bench and asks:

“What about you — are you Germans?” “German” stands for honor and steadfastness! Think of Deutsche Treue! Nobody can call what is going on in this court as “honorable.” In this court, the only “justice” is inspired by the Talmud!”

Sylvia expresses her faith that history will take its inevitable course and “the truth will win out.” She says that since the trial began she has been prepared for her preordained conviction — she told them at the beginning that she knew her verdict was handed down, even before her indictment. To the Bench she says

“And you, my high-and-mighty judges, will never again experience inner peace… Your depiction of National Socialism as a criminal system will see to that. You are willing accomplices to the brainwashing and degradation of the German people…. Adolf Hitler accurately recognized the Jewish problem, the malevolent power of the Jews in certain respects… Yes, I share the values of National Socialism!”

Sylvia replies,

“If my actions bring a little more light into this dark hour for Germany, then I will gladly go to prison! It does not bother me that I am officially ridiculed and insulted by this despicable court and atrocious government… My high and mighty judges, you are convicting yourselves, not me.”

” ‘German’ stands for steadfastness and honor!” - Sylvia Stolz

That’s goddamn right.  I’m proud that their blood flows through my veins.  This is possibly the most riveting thing I have ever read.  As the tears stream down my face I say, “Woe unto our enemies when our people awake!”

Now THAT - the Sylvia Stolz confrontation with JOG and its stooges - was inspirational.  If just a small percentage of us can rise and be counted when it matters as has this wondrous woman maybe there is hope still for Aryan Man.  Stolz’ words were like light turned on in a room long in the dark and the roaches and other vermin were exposed.  The problem is they don’t scurry for cover in JOG; they simply turn the light back off and tell everyone who saw it that the dark and all it covers is what is really desirable.  Most just say yep.  Goyim long afflicted with Talmudism no longer can handle light.  Are we already past that point?  Are the Stolz’s among us so few and far between that we will not escape our fast approaching fate?
