Alex, I liked that “Open Letter to Mike Nifong” you linked, written by Prof. William L. Anderson, in which Prof. Anderson tells Mr. Nifong,

“I really hope that you not only lose your law license and your job, but since you were trying to take away the lives of three young men who had committed no crimes, I do hope that you have the opportunity to do a stretch in prison [...].  After all, there are people in this country who belong behind bars, and you are one of them.”

That’s exactly what I hope for Mr. Nifong:  loss of job, disbarment, and imprisonment. 

May it all come to pass, every bit of it!

Here‘s a long article you’ll want to stop reading in the middle because of feelings of outrage but stick with it:  its end — the way the author wraps things up — is soul-satisfying.

DUKE SETTLES WITH ITS VICTIMS

Duke settles for an undisclosed sum:

DURHAM, N.C. - Duke University has reached an undisclosed financial settlement with three former lacrosse players falsely accused of rape, while a judge said late Monday he would order the disbarred prosecutor to leave office immediately.

Duke had suspended Reade Seligmann, Collin Finnerty and Dave Evans after they were charged last year with raping a stripper at an off-campus party. The university also canceled the team’s season and forced their coach to resign.

“We welcomed their exoneration and deeply regret the difficult year they and their families have had to endure,” the school said Monday in a statement. “These young men and their families have been the subject of intense scrutiny that has taken a heavy toll.”

You “welcomed their exoneration” while, when the suspects were friendless and being tried in the national press, you joined in the rush to judgment. What hypocrites. I hope Seligmann, Finnerty, and Evans (who sound like the parties to a joke featuring a priest, minister, and a rabbi - sorry, I couldn’t help myself) drained Duke University of millions. Personally, if I were involved, I would have written into the settlement the firing of those professors who signed the public statement condemning the students.

And Nifong ought to do some jail time.

The whole episode featured liberal fascism at its finest.

The most important aspect of the attempted high-tech lynching of uppity white lacrosse players has gone completely unmentioned in the national press coverage of Nifong’s hearing. It’s all about Nifong’s corruption. I even heard a black spokesmen say if this can happen to rich whites imagine what happens to poor blacks every day! Whites are falsely accused yet the media allow blacks to use it to claim victim status!

The most important part of the Duke lacrosse scandal is that Mike Nifong managed to turn around a Democratic primary, in which a slight majority of voters were black, by flagrantly accusing innocent whites of raping a negress. He appealed to black hatred of whites…and it worked! What does that say about black America? What should it tell white Americans about their future when they become a minority at the mercy of non-whites? What will happen to whites in the future when those charged with checking prosecutorial misconduct are themselves beholden to a non-white power structure due to demographic change?

These are the issues CNN and Fox News failed to even mention during their extended coverage of this last week. Our challenge is to convince other whites that the consequences of demographic change will not be benign.
