I for one feel what Geoff is doing here, and has done in others of his recent commentaries I’ve seen, cannot be recommended too highly (and it is something I myself strive to remember always to do though I may forget here or there):  do not omit, at every single mention, to call those groups which are aggressively seeking the genocide of white Euros “hate groups” when you refer to them by name.  The groups include the SPLC, the ADL, the ACLU, the Ford Foundation, and many others.  Also call them “anti-white Christian,” “white Christian-hater,” “white-Christian-phobic,” and so on.  (You can’t just call them “Christian hater” without the “white” part, because they can come back and say they love Mexican or Negro Christians.  That’s a lie—they don’t love Mexican or Negro Christians except as tools to attack white Euros—but they can come back and, in some way or other, claim they do.)  When you name their leaders or politically-active members or supporters always refer to them as “haters,” “hate mongers,” “hate-filled,” and so on.  Never forget to do that, each and every time you have occasion to refer to them.  And put in modifiers and qualifiers such as “well-known,” “rabid,” “extreme,” “fanatical,” and so on.  So, for example, you might say, “Morris Dees, the well-known extreme hater and founder of the hate group, the SPLC, said yesterday that ....”  Try always to put this stuff in, and avoid saying things lacking this stuff, such as, “Morris Dees of the SPLC said yesterday ....”  Understand and never forget that all this labeling of us as “haters” is calculated, planned, agreed-upon, and highly organized behind the scenes by the other side’s planners, theorists, operatives, foot-soldiers, and movers-and-shakers.  None of it sprang up spontaneously.  It’s all artificial from A to Z and is cultivated and nurtured with extreme care lest it die out from neglect.  The dupes, such as lefty college professors, have no idea they’re being manipulated by the simplest propaganda tricks in the book—that’s how stupid they are.  Well, let’s not be stupid ourselves:  we’ve seen how it’s done, now let’s start defending ourselves in kind, shall we?  We never wanted it or started it ... but by God we’re going to finish it.

In the above comment I was referring to where Geoff wrote, in the log entry, “a complaint from the SPLC, a hate organization.”  That’s exactly the way to do it.  Always insert those qualifiers and modifiers when talking of this ilk, always—that’s the way to start getting someone’s or some group’s name and the word “hater” automatically associated with each other in the public’s mind.  Hey we have to start somewhere!  The other side started forty years ago and look how far they’ve come—they’ve got us on the ropes.  We can do exactly the same to them if we’ve the will, starting now.

That’s deletable, you know that.  An invitation to violence is not just another freely expressed opinion.  The taking of life is no part of any strategy for fighting the enemies of Western Man.

I won’t delete the comment because you are a good guy, I know that.  Please, though, operate here within the constraints of natural justice and the law.

Not knowing the circumstances, I applied for that Human Events job in spring.  In spite of a glowing personal recommendation from John O’Sullivan, who knows the people there, I wasn’t even interviewed.  If even I’m too extreme for them, the place has been captured by the left.  Don’t renew your subscription.

I would agree that someone at the top who remained unnamed in the Vdare.com piece is a closet leftist and is exerting pressure—intense pressure from the looks of it—on this wet noodle named Winter over there, who fired Lamb.  A man with backbone would have stood up to leftist pressure from ownership and exposed it and if naught else—if worse came to worse and he himself got fired—would have gone down taking as many upper-level lefties with him as possible—the potential for which which might actually, if he played his cards right, keep them from firing him obviously, knowing, as they would, whom the readership would side with if it saw what was going on behind the scenes.  This incompetent man Winter lacked even the vaguest notion of playing his cards right and is absolutely contemptible, no better than a writhing worm.  Reading the piece I kept asking myself, “Who in the world hired this imbecile in the first place?  How in the WORLD did he rise so high without a shred of talent or integrity???”

Question:  How can a conservative organization or publication keep from going leftist with the passage of time, let’s say after the original founder has passed away—or even before that as National Review did?  What steps can it take to rule that fate out for itself?

Fred, I don’t think it can.  All flesh is as grass and the same is true with conservative journals.  In NR’s case, Buckley passed over control in stages in 1990-2003.  You need to find a new right wing billionaire who’ll found a new magazine.

Divebombing in safety

I’ve taken AD’s sound advice and deleted Stuka’s RPG comment.  Frankly, if I read on some blog-thread something commending a terrorist strike against me or mine I would be horrified.  I would also protest mightily, and demand an apology.

If that is what I think I should receive in such a circumstance, I am bound to respond sympathetically to any such request from the SPLC people should they wish to contact me.

So ... leave the extremism to AQ.  We are operating within a legal and moral framework which has to be respected.  This is not war.  This is politics and if we want to curry opinion amongst our own people on a wider scale, we have to aspire to the highest standards of moral conduct.
