Matching this map with overlays for Protestantism, Germanic language use, and verbal IQ should show a more or less similar profile.

Geoff, I am in wholehearted agreement. Pinochet is unquestionably the greatest Latin American leader of the 20th Century, and the international Left’s campaign to demonize him should be opposed at all costs.

There are two countries in Latin America where one should even consider doing business: Chile, but not unless they replace the current government in the election due, I think in December and Colombia where Uribe, while by no means perfect, is a brave man and geenerally on the right side. No sane person would touch Brazil, Argentina or Mexico currently.
