A bit of a bind? LOL, she’s put her foot right in it! It is offensive to me to suggest that something is lacking in a race of people. I tend to think that Jewish people as a race are smarter than the rest of us. She’s calling the entire non-Jewish population of the planet lacking (lacking in the Jewish race’s intelligence). Not only is she offensive (to herself), she’s offensive to me (for being stupid). Sheesh. Also, she might find a surprise or two if she surveys other populations, say, Episcopalians. 3

The fact that negative numbers arose within the muslim world as a result of accounting practices is significant here.
Mercer is Jewish and unabashedly so. If we’re really interested in a fair assessment of Jewish accomplishment, we have to go beyond what Charles Murray did in “Human Accomplishment: The Pursuit of Excellence in the Arts and Sciences, 800 B.C. to 1950” when he uses purely positive numbers to count Jewish accomplishements when so many are so manifestly negative.
