Is this what Vlaams Belang are hankering for?

All is not at all well in the Netherlands. It’s centre-right government has just resigned

after growing tensions over its notoriously tough immigration minister, “Iron Rita” Verdonk.

Jan Peter Balkenende, the Prime Minister, visited Queen Beatrix this morning to tell her of his government’s decision to resign.

So, what momentous error or misdeed has brought this about? After all, the government won’t have resigned under its own steam- a significant number of parliamentarians, Uncivil Societarians and various other pontificatarians must have demanded it. They must have been agitated by something.

Well, that something was applying the law impartially, to the meek and to the mighty alike:

The resignation comes after he failed to heal rifts in his coalition over Ms Verdonk’s decision to strip Ayaan Hirsi Ali, a Somali-born MP and world-renowned critic of Islam, of her passport.

...

They wanted to force her out of government for precipitously stripping Ms Hirsi Ali of her Dutch citizenship last month after a television documentary detailed how the Somali-born feminist lied about her family name when she applied for asylum in the Netherlands.

...

On Tuesday Ms Verdonk reversed her decision, restoring Ms Hirsi Ali’s citizenship but leaving her own political credibility in tatters.

Let me restate this baldly: this woman is an illegal immigrant and a perjurer. She should be treated like all other invaders and perjurers. Whether she is an MP and feminist or not is irrelevant, or would be in a nation governed by laws, not by the whims of pc thugs.

The party hacks of Amsterdam have proved themselves the equals of their Belgian brothers when it comes to wilfully ignoring the legality of a situation:

Critics said that she stripped Ms Hirsi Ali of her passport so quickly in an attempt to burnish her tough image before the party elections.

Indeed, in their convoluted, hyper-politicised world, dishing out even the slightest punishment to a breaker of the State’s laws, indeed any action, can only be a crude attempt to win popularity with the proles. Its almost enough to make me want to crack open the ‘ole Rothbard and become a libertarian!

What about Ms. (or rather Arranged Wife number one) Hirsi Ali, what of her side of the story? Well, she doesn’t want to stay anyway, seeing as

Ms Hirsi Ali, 36, resigned as an MP and announced that she was moving to the US to work for a right-wing think-tank.

...

she applied for asylum in 1992 to escape an arranged marriage.

...

A note was pinned to his chest, pledging to kill Ms Hirsi Ali, who lives under 24-hour police guard.

Let’s see, this woman is obviously loyal to no country, not even to the one that has sheltered her from Islamist fanatics both in her own country and in the Netherlands. She broke the law to get where she is now, before playing the race card to be saved from the consequences of her own actions. Not precisely “right-wing think tank” material, you might say? But, wait, it’s alright, because in her days as a political gangster she was

supporting legislation to cut immigration and promote integration of immigrants, partly by the introduction of Dutch language and culture tests.

Not meaning to be an insensitive, reactionary bigot, but one way for her to cut immigration was… Anyone care to complete that sentence, as its sheer banality and obviousness is beyond me. I’m afraid my deadpan skills just aren’t up to the task.

Still, she should fit right into the collection of belligerent draft dodgers, libertine moral conservatives and other hypocrites that make up the American Right. Perhaps Bill Bennet could let her hide out at his home, protecting her from the US immigration authorities?

Pym Fortuyn was just an anomaly, and no matter how much the proles of the Netherlands might wish otherwise, their politicos are cowards, unwilling to stand up for the rights of their people or for equal application of the law.

The symbolism in that film was magnificent. They assaulted socialism (the red rose), globalism (the pepsi can), and stood up for the self-determination rights of every single European nation, liberated from the dark pall of the NWO.

Couldn’t have done it better myself. Le Pen will definitely make it to the second round. And I think he might get over 30% of the vote this time.

She’s too good for Dutch politics, it seems.

Svy, Ms. Verdonk used to be boiler-plate neocon: pro-America, pro-welfare, pro-immigration (but also pro-assimilation). I guess she just had an epiphany. Or saw a chance to win votes from racist bigots like us.
