Amazing bunker mentality on display in that piece.  How can non-Jews, for example, get the point home that the Jewish military demonstrates a cavalier disregard for non-Jewish lives not merely by its actions, which we must believe are all-too-human mistakes, but by lying about them afterwards?  How can non-Jews raise any criticism of diaspore behaviour, or explain that the Jewish homeland is disqualified by the same liberal universalism that the ADL and the SPLC commend for us, if the kneejerk reaction is always “hate”, “anti-semitism” etc?  The Jewish will to come out on top is far too strong.  There is a wellnigh complete absence of compromise.

So, this is your source, GW?  The Guardian? You don’t trust the most honest, the most moral, the most civilized military in the world, but trust the Guardian that eagerly spread Palestinian lies that Israel “massacred 500 civilians in Jenin”? An exaustive UN investigation was conducted, proving that as always, the Palestinians lied, and, as always, the Israelis were telling the truth: 52 were killed, all but 2 of them hard-core, Iranian-trained terrorists. What other military has such a clean record? 23 Israelis died to minimize the civilian casualties as they went door-to-door into a hellish neighborhood which was rigged as one huge booby-trap, instead of taking it out with one 24,000 lb “daisy-cutter” as the Americans or Brits would - and do, every day, in Iraq and Afghanistan. Even other Euro rags backtracked, but not the Guardian that persisted in its lies, accusing the UN (!!!) of being pro-Israeli !!! And you get your opinions from this hard-left rag, joining it in singing a Hamas tune?! Even as Europe is getting slurped down the toilet? What kind of mess is in your head? What do you stand for? Anything at all? This is why I say that Europe better get Zionism, or else. Without any guiding ideology, and infected with its chronic anti-Semitic disease, Eurabia will be kaputt, as were Nazi Germany, Tzarist Russia, Inquisitor Spain, Byzantium, the Roman Empire, and all other anti-Jewish powers. Iran will be kaputt, too, very soon, and in a bad way. Teheran will envy Dresden.

Is the Guardian trustworthy enough to pronounce on IDF culpability when the Mohammed al-Dura incident appears to be a lie?

There’s only one problem. Multiple, exhaustive investigations have shown Mohammed al-Dura was not shot by Israelis. In fact, as a new journalistic probe conducted in France shows, it was very likely all a charade. Worse, the news media were almost certainly complicit in the charade.

The Vexing ‘Jewish Question’: A Nineteenth-Century Scholar’s View

In 1880, anti-Semitic disturbances broke out in Russia. A narrative of them entitled “The Persecution of the Jews in Russia,” was put forth (in 1881) by the Jewish community in England as an appeal to the British heart. In that narrative the Russian Christians were charged with having committed the most fiendish atrocities on the most enormous scale. A tract of country equal in area to the British Islands and France combined had, it was averred, been the scene of horrors theretofore perpetrated only in times of war. Men had been ruthlessly murdered, tender infants had been dashed on the stones or roasted alive in their own homes, married women had been made the prey of a brutal lust which had in many cases caused their death, and young girls had been violated in sight of their relatives by soldiers who should have been guardians of their honor. Whole streets inhabited by Jews had been razed, and the Jewish quarters of towns had been systematically fired.

The outrages on women, by which public indignation in England had been most fiercely aroused, and of which, according to the Jewish accounts, there had been a frightful number, no less than 30 in one place and 25 in another, appeared, after careful inquiries by the consuls, to have been very rare. This is the more remarkable because the riots commonly began with the sacking of the gin shops, which were kept by the Jews, so that the passions of the mob must have been inflamed by drink. The horrible charge brought in the Jewish manifesto against the Russian women, of having incited men to outrage Jewesses and held the Jewesses down, is found to be utterly baseless. The charge of roasting children alive also falls to the ground. So does the charge of violating a Jew’s wife and then setting fire to his house. The Jewish manifesto states that a Jewish innkeeper was cooped in one of his own barrels and cast into the Dnieper. This turns out to be a fable, the village which was the alleged scene of it being ten miles from the Dnieper and near no other river of consequence.

The Russian peasant, Christian though he may be, is entitled to justice. As a rule, while ignorant and often intemperate, he is good-natured. There was much brutality in his riot, but fiendish atrocity there was not, and if he struck savagely, perhaps he had suffered long. For the belief that the mob was “doing the will of the Tsar,” in other words, that the government was at the bottom of the rising, there does not appear to have been a shadow of foundation. The action of the authorities was not in all cases equally prompt. In some cases it was culpably slack. At Warsaw the commandant held back, though as Lord Granville, the British ambassador, bears witness, his motive for hesitation was humanity. But many of the rioters were shot down or bayoneted by the troops, hundreds were flogged, some were imprisoned, and some were sent to Siberia. That any of the military took part in the riots seems to be a fiction. It was not likely that the Russian government, menaced as it is by revolutionary conspiracy, would encourage insurrection.

Fundamentally GW is correct. It’s only that the example is poor.

Some Jewish handwringing (initially) about nationalism at the World Cup from The New Republic:

As I get off the plane, I am shocked by the outpouring of national sentiment—adults wearing flags, kids wearing face paint, and just about every German in the country sporting a Deutschland jersey.

...I’m clearly not the only one to take notice of such unabashed national pride. My German friend tells me rather skeptically that the national pride on display today is something unequaled since the third Reich. I myself don’t know how to react. Is it a sign of a new proud, democratic Germany, having dealt a fatal blow to the demons of its past, or does it reveal a racist, xenophobic undercurrent, typically resigned to small segments of the population, now publicly condoned under the bourgeois banner of football?

As a young American Jew spending his first few hours on German soil, let’s just say I’m leaning toward skepticism. As I sit down to the match at an insanely crowded cafe in the heart of Bonn, the two syllable chant of “Deutsch-land” is nearly deafening, and leaves a weird feeling in the pit of my stomach (the same feeling, I must admit, when I hear the chant “U-S-A” in American stadiums). Yet while a skeptic of nationalism, I am also a lover of football, and I soak up the energy that swirls around me this warm summer night on soccer’s grandest stage.

...But then something changed, and my opinion of both German soccer and German nationalism underwent a transformation.

With about 25 minutes left to play, a young man wearing a Germany jersey appeared on the sidelines preparing to enter the game, and was met by such cheers of joy from my German companions that one might think that Germany had suddenly been assured victory, and everyone could now relax and enjoy the inevitable conclusion. At 22, David Odonkor was something of a surprise pick for Germany’s squad.

Not only is he one of Germany’s many offensive-minded young stars that threaten to abolish its boring style of play forever, but he is also black (or at least his father is Ghanaian). When this young black man appeared on the sidelines to the loudest cheers I had heard all night from my German companions, something inside me changed. I no longer feared the cheers of “Deutcsh-land” that came pouring forth, but rather embraced them. For if this new German nationalism can embrace a half-Ghanaian boy as its national hero, its good enough for me. And when his cross led to German ecstasy across the country, I too, I must admit, was ecstatic.

To this American Jew German nationalism is only OK if it’s not too German. He has no connection to Ghana but when a half-Ghanaian player gets cheered it’s suddenly OK to express one’s nationalism.

A reply to the article from a TNR reader (probably Jewish as the TNR blog only allows comments from subscribers):

as a historical matter, you cannot compare German nationalism with American patriotism. For one thing, there is no American “nation” in the sense that Germans throughout much of modern era understood themselves to be a distinct, related ethnic group - the effects of which should require little explanation.

So multiethnic “nations” are good, ethnic nations are bad.  There is no American nation in the view of this person. Of course, America once was a nation and the remnants of that nation still exist.

The article and comment are indicative of a common Jewish view of nationalism in the West. They will support any diversity at all as it waters down the majority nation.

Good thing there is no such thing as anti-Gentilism.  It’s strange how some Jews actually believe their vindictiveness charming.

Jews actually enjoy thinking about non-Jews and seem to especially enjoy the idea that they are hated by jealous goyim.  Had we the option, we’d rather think about anything but jealous Jews and take no special joy in realizing how much they hate us.

I LOVE Bruce Gatenby’s writing. He’s one who has the guts to talk about Germany as it really is: a cesspool of shit with mediocre shit people living here who constantly have a scowl on their faces, who are lazy, inept, incompetent and who put out shitty products. Did I also mention rude and obnoxious? And that the Third Reich is alive and well here? And the people are so stupid they don’t even realize it? I wish I never came to live in Germany. I’m out soon! Bruce Gatenby is a failed novelist, screenwriter and human being.  He doesn’t have anywhere near the talent of Bellow, Roth or Henry Miller, so he just steals their themes and writes his own fifth-rate versions of their work.  In all of his articles and stories, you will find:

* quotations from great literature as section separators (to remind you of how literate Gatenby is);
* non-Jewish women who are uncontrollably attracted to the Jewish writer or professor (usually Gatenby himself);
* rednecks, anti-Semites and white supremacists who are determined to bring our poor boy down;
* mockery of modern linguistics theory (which Gatenby was happy to parrot and teach himself when it served his early career as an assistant professor); and, of course;
* attacks on modern Germans for being exactly the same as their grandparents: Jew-hating, unimaginative dolts.  Except, of course, for those many German beauties who are uncontrollably attracted to the Jewish writer or professor, etc., ad nauseum.

Having failed so often in his professional and personal life, Gatenby is now teaching at a school in the United Arab Emirates, happy to take money from Jew-haters who contribute to groups that sponsor anti-Israel terrorism.  He often collaborates on articles and screenplays with William E. Grim, now living in hiding under a death threat due to his article advocating the murder of all heavy metal musicians and fans.  The two G-men were made for each other… .

This isn’t thread about Bruce Gatenby.  You comments may be true, I do not have any way of knowing.  But they go far beyond acceptable commentary, they are libelous and I have to take them down.

Harold Haze managed to make his critique of Gatenby without such sentiments.  If you can manage the same, you are welcome to post.  But please don’t make further unsubstantiated and libelous statements.
