Do you surrender territory to an enemy that will always attack you whether they are in your territory or not, or do you retain your territory and wage a war to defeat the inner enemy ?

The fact is that Islamists either within or outside Russia will wage war against Russia until the Global Caliphate is created.

To allow territory to be handed over to the Islamists is merely to create bases for the Islamists to operate on Russia’s borders. 

The past cannot be forgotten and the Islamists have a blood feud against the Russians for their past actions against them.

Therefore Russia must retain her territory, wage unrelenting war against the Islamists and treat them as the enemy within.

Islamism must be repressed and those that preach it regarded as terrorists as much as the terrorists.

At the same time Russia must encourage its own Slavic peoples to reproduce and embrace a radical nationalist ideology that re-arms the Russian people and prepares them for the future wars that will come as Islamism grows in the decadent and degenerate dying West.

The threat to Russia is not just from the Caucus’s it is from the growth of Islamism in Western Europe.

Russia is the last bulwark of the indigenous European people, and at some point it will be the base for the ‘reconquista’ of Europe itself from the inner enemy both of our own people and the Islamists.

One day I foresee Russia being the final fortress of the indigenous European peoples of all nations fleeing Islamism in their own nations, and it will be the birth place of a Pan-European Movement that will reclaim the West for our people.

If the democratic political process fails to get our nations back, then Russia is our last hope and our last refuge. 

They must not surrender an inch of their territory - the must fight for what they have with the urgency it deserves.

It is a little difficult to understand the strategic value for Russia in attempting to maintain control of the north Caucasus region with its challenging demographics (highly Muslim). Its glory days as a petroleum-producing region, which attracted avaricious eyes in the past, are long since past - the region now contains only about 1% of Russian reserves.

Actually, there’s a good analogy here with the British Empire.
Like the former Soviet Union, the Commonwealth (the succesor to empire), harbored the idea of ‘equality’ under the British crown - and thus massive unrestricted colored immigration.

And they can’t just leave or annex the region because:

3) Russian territory and these Republics that were never separate countries

4) US/Israel and Britain get the Caspian oil

This is the reason why the US/Britain has been pushing for Turkey’s entry into the EU as it is the central transit country.  That was until the Mossad attempted coup in 2008 through the Gullen/Glado network in Turkey and Turkeys shift towards Russia. It seems now that the US are supporting Armenia now against Turkey with the Armenian genocide resolution in the US.

One way of dealing with the constant insurgency problem is resorting to indirect rule. Like in Chechnya where a local gangster was made a president hoping that he and the thugs of his clan would destroy the guerillas. At first this does seem to be a perfect solution—the problem, however, lies in the fact that once you allow local crime gangs and clans to take over these primitive southern republics the rule of Russia’s law ends. The minions of Moscow down south may be loyal to the Kremlin because it serves their interests, but if this costs Russia that her law and governance is replaced by local mob rule, well, who then actually rules these republics? Are they really part of Russia anymore?

Actually that happened under the first president of the Republic General Dodakov (I don’t know how to spell these peoples names)  with any moderate or Russian friendly opposition driven out or killed under his rule and when he tried to become absolute dictator of the region that sparked a civil war prompting a Russian intervention and the first Chechen war. Who was left in the region and having the most authority who Russia could deal with Kadyrov who had the largest militia.

I have read some good points. Russia must weigh the value of these regions as to its security, before it decides what to do with them.

I still think that good policing for now will do the job to keep them in check while reaping the benefits of their resources. Then when the time comes Russia must act its master stroke not only against the peoples of those regions but also to any outside forces or nations who have their own designs of their own on the region. Remember Georgia and its Shack-you-vili? (Viliaco in Italian means scoundrel)

Russians must understand that they have to wage total ethnic war against the insurgent peoples of Caucasia.

Whether this or withdrawal is best for Russia in the long-term i wouldn’t know. However i do think stealth Russian help for ethno-nationalist parties in the west might eventually prove useful to them.

The regions where the main Caspian reserves are located are not part of Russia. The North Caucasus region, which includes the Russian republics of Chechnya and Dagestan are the only significant oil-producing areas still under Russian control in the Caspian region and, as noted, they contain a mere 1% of Russian reserves. Over two-thirds of its reserves are in West Siberia and most of the rest are in the Volga-Urals Basin, so maintaining control of the Muslim part of the North Caucasus is clearly not a strategic imperative from an energy perspective.

Looks like the Brits have supported the wrong side, again. They have a knack of taking the worst sides, as has been seen in history so many times. Their policy of divide-and-rule, which was so successful in India, is now being applied against the western peoples.

The Caucasus people? Kill them off? Why? Maybe Russia should just quit trying to destroy them, their heritage, and their people. No wonder they fight. And the Islamic trappings, from what I’ve read, are only nominal (at least for the Circassians).

And what if Russia fails and then the Caucasus survivors go on and butcher a bunch of Russian kids in response? Are you going to blame that on them too as some evil “Caucasian Racism”? Maybe a better solution would be for the Russian Church to aggressively proselytize in that regions and to flood it with Russians. Encourage Caucasus’ people to intermarry with Russians… Instead of the devil’s route that involves bloodshed and killing piles of people.
