These people may do some good, in spite of their rather journalistic and concrete minded sensibility. They don’t even have a general notion of anticaucasianism, it would appear. The Jews have the term antisemitism, with a huge literature on it. Would these antidefamation leaguers say: antiwhitist, antiwhitism, antiwhitistic? If not, how are they to conceptualize and discuss or write intelligently on their subject? It would be more formidable to say anticaucasian, anticaucasianist, anticaucasianism and anticaucasianistic. The unconjugable ‘anti white’ is sterile intellectually as a root term.

Europhobe is another effective term to describe anti-caucasianists. White people invariably understand the attitude & state of mind it represents, though few (until now, I think) have been willing actually to name it.

These days, white bread appears from my observations to be eaten most heavily by inner city blacks, while the kind of person Pollack disparages as “white-bread” would barely touch the stuff.’

To respond to John Bolton, if you examine our glossary section, you will see “Europhobia” with this definition:
“Europhobia is the pathological hatred of European American peoples, cultures, artifacts, and symbols that expresses itself in divisive and defamatory ways. In reality, Americans of European origins are warm-hearted, generous, and diverse.”

However, I believe he is looking for the term that is a stinging rejoinder to europhobic hate speech, and we have found the accusation of “white-bashing,” spoken loudly, almost always enough to shake the hate speaker.

There are plenty of other ways to interrupt the chain of speech that is so typical & studied by the white-basher. We give a lot of terms and phrases and techniques in the syllabus that can be used to good effect in the give-and-take of multicultural discourse.

Regarding “white-bread,” “white shoe,” etc., they certainly are slurs and call for a general halt in the conversation to discuss the motives of the slur-sayer.

I for one appreciated RD.org’s framing of the white vs. European-American issue, that is, the point that calling EAs “white” in a context that refers to non-whites as “African-Americans,” “Asian-Americans,” “Chinese,” etc., is defamation.  I’ll be using that.

Actually these antidefamation activists have put more thought into it than I saw at first. Europhobia no doubt exists; but in general it seems unwise to diagnose the opponent, when his position may be one with intellectual content. Anticaucasianism could acquire a critical literature; Europhobia would call for psychological discourse. Mexican activists do not hesitate to call our border defenses antimexican; how is it that affirmative action is not called anticaucasian? Also, why aren’t cracker and honky on the list?

One of the most important aspects of ‘Europhobia’ is self-hating adult whites.Specifically,the effects of their positions on the psyches of guilt ridden white children through movies,journalism,school curriculum etc.

No one should be given a pass when it comes to child abuse.

This illustrates my point on choice of terms, it sounds more plausible, doesn’t it, to speak of children having anticaucasianism inflicted on them, than to say that Europhobia has been engendered within them, who are themselves white?
