The accompanying 42-page pamphlet written by Oborne and Jones provides a wealth of interesting background detail about the making of the programme. The description of the ‘culture of silence’ which surrounds the activities of the Lobby is particularly chilling. It’s a great shame that many of the more damning remarks could not be attributed owing to fear of retribution on the part of interviewees, a number of whom are prominent current politicians and in one case even the editor of a national newspaper (not the Guardian).

It’s little wonder that the usual suspects are shrieking so loud.

I had not, until this morning, visited Dr John Ray’s dissectleft blog for some time and I see that the gullible old duffer has an Israeli flag on the home page with a pathetic ‘I Stand With Israel’ rubric attached. Below this nonsense is a quote from Genesis warning the Chosenites’ enemies of the dire consequences of non - adherence to philo - semitism, which, of course, should be noted by all Christians.

As the late Graham Greene noted (according to his biographer, Professor Norman Sherry), the superstitious atheist (and Ray claims to be an atheist) is a prime candidate for psychiatric treatment.

Peter Oborne and John Laughland seem to be the last of this kind of Englishman. I remember growing up reading the Spectator and there was no shortage of this type of clear and self-confident analysis but the public school types seem to all have been bought off or chased away. I almost had to rub my eyes in disbelief as I watched Oborne fail to whore himself out to whatever American or Jew happened to cross his path. Perhaps the Filipinos of Europe still have some dignity left.

When a US Senator from my state retired, he blamed Israel for Iraq. Only when he retired was he free to speak. There were other articles; but only 2 are saved at antiwar.com, and at least one has vanished from the Internet.

Btw, anyone want to tackle Solzhenitsyn’s 200 Years (on Russia’s Jews)? I only read English…
