Parts Wholes and Quantum Mechanics

A colleague of mine passed away yesterday.  My relationship with him began while he was at Interval Research circa 1996.  This link is to a paper of his written shortly after we met on the basis of my interest in relational over functional description.

James,

I sent an email to the old email address that I have for you, and it was returned.  Despite Searches through my files and emails, I am unable to find a copy of something of yours that I both saved and forwarded.

What I seek is your clear mathematical explanation for why the familiar multi-million dollar Jewish fraud scandals benefit the Jewish community even when they result in imprisonment and some degree of restitution.  I don’t recall if what I had was contained in notes that I took while listening to you on a broadcast, or if you posted it at MR or elsewhere, or if it’s part of your Jewish virulence theme.

Hope you can forward it to me.  Thanks,  MOB

My gmail address is no secret (jabowery) but to be clear, mereology is very abstract compared to the mathematics you’re talking about which require an interdisciplinary approach including Price’s equations (based on correlation structures as I described in Removing Lewontin’s Fallacy from Hamilton’s Rule), evolutionary medicine and evolutionary dynamics (subsuming extended phenotypics as I described in Putting Nowak, et al, In Perspective With “The Extended Phenotype”).  Analysis of Israel as an attempt at the formation of a genuinely rooted nation is outside of the scope of this kind of analysis so far as I can see.  Israel, per se, is an opposing evolutionary dynamic to Jewish virulence since it is at least ostensibly dedicated to vertical transmission hence symbiosis over parasitism.

All of the above is a frontier of science.  If anyone from academia got seriously interested in it, there was some legitimacy to academia serving the humanities and there were similar legitimacy to the Nobel Prizes, there would be multiple Nobel prizes, including the Peace Prize.

When we get into the mereology of QM (as one extrema with classical mechanics at the other), we’re dealing with new science in which “paranormal” phenomena are likely manifest.  The ontology project must go there.

By “paranormal” phenomena do you mean “psi” phenomena like remote viewing, precognition, psychokinesis, etc?

More generally, all the stuff that organized religion tries to maintain as taboo because it threatens their monopoly and all of the stuff that “science” tries to maintain as taboo because it leads to recognition that creation is self-disciplined consciousness.

Could you expand on this? What is “self-disciplined consciousness”? “Consciousness” I take to mean a general subjective sense of awareness. What does it mean to “self-discipline” this subjective sense of awareness, and how is the act of creation related to it?

And why is “science” opposed to this? By “science” I presume you mean the dominant materialist worldview maintained by academia.

I’m sorry you lost a friend, James.  I hadn’t even read your words, but had only noticed that there were no comments yet, which meant you’d surely see my request.

Re your reply #2, I sent my email to your laboratoryofthestates address, which was all I could find.

The description that I recall and that I saved and forwarded had nothing to do with “mereology” or anything else in your reply.  It was not abstract at all, but understandable and interesting.  I’ll continue looking.

Dale, yes.  The essence of the “materialist” world view is that consciousness is emergent from time, space and matter rather than time, space and matter being created from consciousness through self-discipline.  Undisciplined consciousness is of everything and nothing without distinction.  As one draws a distinction, one creates.  In the words of mereology, one is creating parts from the whole of the singular consciousness that has been called “I am that I am” by sources lost in the mists of time.

The purpose of the materialist taboo is to divorce us from our heritage so we accept subservience as parts of a whole called the State.  The purpose of the religious taboo is to divorce us from our heritage so we accept subservience as parts of the whole called the Church.

We are, in fact, thoughts of a primordial consciousness—characters in a drama being created through the self-discipline of The Author.
