A wave of 16 bombings ripped across Baghdad, Iraq on Dec. 22, 2011.  Here’s a scene from one of these.  The question is what kind of car bomb causes this damage?

No it doesn’t. I thought so at first. None of the building in this picture has fallen.

Link doesn’t work.

Stop being so cryptic. What’s the effing answer?!

The link works.  The answer is in the video clip.  If your browser attempts to play it, right-click on the link and select save as… (Mac: cmd+click).  If you can’t watch the video, any of the following will work:

Install the xvid codec.
Install ffdshow-tryouts (one filter to play a variety of video formats) (ffdshow filter is available for windows, mac and linux).
Install k-lite codec pack (a bunch of codecs to play different formats) (Windows).
Install VLC player (windows, mac and linux).

It looks a lot bigger than a car bomb but it doesn’t look OKC scaled…

Unlike Oklahoma City the blast was symmetrical and left a crater in plain sight.  The concrete used in the damaged building to the left is probably of poor quality with inconsistent use of rebar reinforcement in the support columns.

These car bomb/suicide killer stories seem to have a certain theme running through them.

-The investigations rarely provide any details on the individuals who carried it out.
-There is rarely much evidence gathered.
-The investigation seems to close as soon as an islamic group claims responsibility.

Looks to me to be a kosher job, time and time again, except for Palestine, these Islamic countries have never really so mental as to persistently blow each other up for no good reason, that is until the NATO occupation, what a coincidence.

If you think the Palestinians are an exception, read this: http://public-action.com/911/toothfairies.html

The Palestine situation poses the possibility of reasonable motive.

I can envisage some Palestinians who are desperate, hopeless and angry enough to become actual suicide bombers, just like the Tamils, the common factor being an actual conflict and barbaric oppression.

That being said, this also leaves them open for manipulation, since they are after all desperate and directionless, easy enough for Israel to do.

However since 9/11 you have afghans, pakistani’s (non Arabs) suddenly blowing themselves up every other week, which is infact a quantum leap from the traditional Palestinian suicide bomber.

In short, this phenomena seen in nato occupied countries makes no sense beyond the Zionist narrative, there has to be a trigger, someone to light the blue touch paper.

JR,

You’re saying a cruise missile did this?

How many of the regulars here believe this was a missile strike?

I presume you would also say this was a missile strike.  It looks quite similar to the crater in your picture:

http://www.mullings.com/Iraq-01-18-04.htm

That was in 2004.  Do you expect us to believe that over the course of 8 years some rogue military unit has been passing missile strikes off as car bombs?
