Ron Paul InitiativesRon Paul activists planning “Walking in the community” campaigns. I. August 14, 2007 In fitting with Ron Paul’s message of freedom and the advantages of competition, the Ron Paul 2008 presidential campaign announces a contest between the 700+ Ron Paul Meetup groups to help raise money for the campaign. The grand prize is a private visit by Dr. Paul to your area! (There are actually two grand prizes and two first-place prizes.) To learn more and to get started, go to http://www.ronpaul2008.com/meetup From: Kelly Halldorson (did 38 mi. walk for RP in NH) August 10, 2007 New Idea: Ron Paul Supporters Clean-up the Country Here is my new idea. When I did my walk last Saturday I had a lot of time to think of new ways to help the campaign. I was inspired by the SC supporters who spammed a food bank with food. I thought of ways we could show the country that real conservative Republicans and Libertarians alike care about people and the environment. I mean why do people believe that Democrats have the monopoly on caring for others? Anyway this is one of the ideas I came up with. http://www.blogthecoast.com/halldorson/archives/2007/08/new_idea_ron_pa.html HEADLINE: RON PAUL SUPPORTERS TO CLEAN UP THE USA IN ONE DAY! The signs would only be there while people were picking up the trash. That was my thought anyway. I’ve gotten enough response that it is a go ahead. I’m going to put to together an action plan and press release tomorrow. We can clean up America for Ron Paul! ——- Posted by Jean West on Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at 10:06 AM in Comments:2
Posted by GT on August 16, 2007, 02:02 PM | # Absolutely, Finn. In my state, according to Meetup.com, less than 10% of RP’s Internet “militia” actually leave their keyboards long enough to attend meetings and less than 6% actually put feet on the street. It’s clear to me that with the exception of this dedicated core RP’s Internet “militia” is as useless as tits on a boar. Therefore it’s imperative that the core receive as much positive, real-world exposure as possible. The word is reality, folks. The “new media” can serve no purpose whatsoever unless it is brought to people in the neighborhood and they are made aware of the existence of like-minded folk in the community. 3

Everyone knows them and wave to them while driving by. I’m not saying the idea isn’t a good one, possibly a very good one—but the reality of the image is different depending on the locality. 4
Posted by Maguire on August 18, 2007, 12:42 PM | # James, “but the reality of the image is different depending on the locality.” Making the image into reality is the acid test for our non-Movement. This means getting local groups of like-minded folks physically active in cooperative endeavors. The ‘profitability’ of these endeavors are what will determine group cohesion, longevity and growth. The real key is keeping the local group bonded together after the immediate campaign is over. Take anti-Federal Reserve-ism. This concept is very widespread among all the RP’ers, even if publicly Naming Names is resisted. But what about putting this anti-paper money conviction into physical action, starting with RPers as an initial recruiting pool? The present paper money housing crisis is a good example. When the jewspapers report ‘demand’ for new housing is dropping, they mean the pool of those who can obtain usury interest paper money mortgages is declining. Most of this paper money goes to paying unskilled labor, speculative profits on land, excess fees for semi-skilled labor, ‘plans’ that were merely printed off from hard drive memory, etc. However, the speculative pricing in empty but buildable lot prices is also dropping fast and materials prices are softening as ‘new construction demand’ drops. I can add all prices for all types of used construction equipment has also dropped to pennies on the dollar. What has not dropped is the desire of white women of child bearing age to have nice homes. So take advantage of this to organize Local Mutual Aid Building Societies following the Habitat for Humanity and Amish House/Ban raising models. What this really means is substituting a new form of exchange (mutual labor in kind plus DIY completion by the home owners) for usury interest paper money that has suddenly dried up. The growing foreclosure crisis will provide a huge pool of people who still want a roof over their heads. Implementing a local Building Society will provide a practical method to sort the talkers from the doers and also filter out those looking to just personally profit; i.e. the flea market merchants already springing up focused on hawking Made In China RP paraphernalia. Its funny that you guys are here talking about this when I did the design of such a system in 1999 with Dan Brumleve—one of the more famous grey hat hackers—and the open source code has been around since 2000. Are you really unaware this history? PS: Work hasn’t stopped but has gone a bit more underground. There is an new alpha version available for testing if you’d like to check it out. 6

Are you really unaware this history?” Maguire and I are not software engineers. We were completely unaware of your existence until I stumbled upon MR and contacted Maguire. Maguire and I were working on alternate industrial and agricultural production and distribution (AIAPD) at the time. Although we recognized the huge need for an alternate exchange system (AES) we had not been pursing it. GW suggested eBarter when I outlined to him what we had in mind. Despite eBarter’s cost relative to jew bucks and the problem of preventing the jew Reserve from acquiring control, the idea has merit and I’ve tentatively incorporated it into our plan. Others instrumental to the community and communitarian aspects of the plan were H. Michael Barrett’s Pioneer Little Europe, Harold Covington’s Northwest Project, and the defunct Michael Rienzi and ESU websites. Rienzi was especially influential in the creation of my sons’ youth club, Legio Ferrata, comprised of a dozen fellow athletes from two area schools. 7

Be advised we haven’t the expertise to put it through a genuine test. Once more, I shall emphasize the importance of cost relative to jew bucks and preventing the jew Reserve from acquiring control. 8

Well I suppose the “coincidence” isn’t so surprising given the fact that I started thinking about agriculturally based barter as a means of bypassing the hijacked centers of civilization circa 1982. My career path took me away from agriculture whereas yours apparently took you away from information technology. 9

Local efforts like this should be encouraged. Activism starts at home—- feet on the ground, right? Reiv 10
Posted by GT on August 19, 2007, 07:39 PM | # Bowery, “Well I suppose the “coincidence” isn’t so surprising given the fact that I started thinking about agriculturally based barter as a means of bypassing the hijacked centers of civilization circa 1982.” My family and kin were heavily engaged in agricultural barter and equipment salvaging from 1970-1982, initially due to the scarcity of jobs in rural Missouri. They stayed with it upon discovering that barter magnified productivity and the value of labor. I’ve thought of it off and on since that time. When GW mentioned eBarter, it quickly meshed with personal experience. “My career path took me away from agriculture whereas yours apparently took you away from information technology.” Indeed, it did. 11
Posted by James Bowery on August 20, 2007, 09:01 AM | # Reiv, in this locality, the “prisoners” picking up trash aren’t clothed as prisoners. They’re just out there with the same fluorescent vests vests used by any road worker but in street clothes. I’m not even sure they’re spending time in jail. Maybe they’re out there on community service time only. Activism starts at home—- feet on the ground, right? Right. And one of the reasons localizing campaigns is so effective is the same reason that localizing policy decisions is so effective: People know what works and what doesn’t in their locale. My gut reaction to imagining Ron Paul guys in this area doing that kind of campaigning is that it would have image problems it probably wouldn’t have in other areas. 12
Posted by John on August 22, 2007, 11:22 AM | # http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5-xwd6ysn3g This is an an extremely well done Ron Paul music video. We need more like this. I think Ron Paul, liberterianism, Free State Project, etc. are implicity WN. They all affirm the right to the fruits of one’s labors (while repudiating others’ (read: muds’) claims to “health care”, a living and other “social justice” “rights”), freedom of association and the right to self-defense. A culture can grow up around these. Next entry: Fraud at Iowa Straw Poll—But By Which Side? Previous entry: Graphic Example of Media Blackout of Ron Paul |

I recommend this. I myself dealt advertisements of Jussi Halla-aho in recent parliament elections. In sites like these we constantly read about country and world changing politics and events. This has sometimes the propensity to develop vision of grandeur. Then appears the cleaning of roadsides for Ron Paul. This might seem like a small and insignificant in comparison, but it is exactly small things like these that are important. It is about changing theories into reality. You meet new people and develop contacts. Community sees that you are doing good things to them. It is more efficient to see and hear people in real life, than read their articles.
