Shocking Revelation as Olmert Admits: “Israel Has Nukes!”

Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, in an interview with German television station N24 Sat1 yesterday, seemingly listed Israel as a nuclear power revealing a secret his country has been keeping for over a decade.

“Iran openly, explicitly and publicly threatens to wipe Israel off the map. Can you say that this is the same level, when they are aspiring to have nuclear weapons, as France, America, Russia and Israel?” Olmert said in the interview.

Wonder of wonders! If I saw a fish swim my astonishment would be no greater. All this time I believed what I was told: that only haters and antisemites supported the outrageous lie that Israel had nuclear weapons. Gosh, now I don’t know what to believe.

What’s really shocking, at least for me, is that Israel’s been obstuficating for so long. Why didn’t they just say, “yes, we do, which makes us differ little from any other country in the ME.” I don’t mind Israel arming itself, just as I don’t mind the wall. It’s the professed superiority to such petty, survivalist concerns which makes me distrust them.

Olmert only fessed up (sort of) because Robert Gates said Israel had nukes in his confirmation hearing for Defense.

Of course the Only True Democracy in the ME kept Mordechai Vanunu in solitary confinement for 12 years for being a self-hating Christian convert. No other reason.
