As a poster at Amren pointed there is a lot of grandstanding going on by the youfs, and like rioters in the US they are soiling their own nests. And the number of cars burnt even isn’t much above the background level. All this insurrection is just embarrassing for the French managerial elite who are only good at sweeping their mismanagement under the rug. So ultimately it’s still a battle between French people, ie the French still expect their government to quell, or buy out the ‘insurrection’. Now if there was an atrocity on the scale of Madrid coupled with the mounting sense of disorder, and white French figured the state was losing its grip and starting to organize their own militias that would seem a prelude to something more serious. As it is these riots are just an embarrassment locally and internationally. Easier to buy off the rioters. 9

The authorities are ecstatic that the police haven’t been found guilty of actually doing their jobs. Can there be anything more demoralizing for cops than to have this shoved in their faces by liberals and their state. After six nights of rioting it’s the police force that’s being forced to exonerate itself against the charge of having done its duty.

Oh, but Minister. We beg to differ. You and your ilk have done quite enough, thank you very much. More than enough, in fact.
