I’d be surprised if the same Hollywood that backs Roman Polanski (wanted in the US for statutory rape) and Woody Allen (sleeps with his stepdaughter) forgives Mel Gibson.

It is easy to imagine Mel drinking and talking about the Israeli invasion of Lebanon, and getting worked up about it.

The question that may be more interesting than will his career survive his rant is whether this rant will be another turning point in the decling impact of the label, “anti-Semite.”

At some point the term becomes meaningless and loses its power to scare, much like “boo!” ceases to scare after 10 years of age.

And, at some point, it will be apparent that it is just another term of defamation, like “goy” and “shicksha.” Somehow it has been invested with the power to slander without anyone calling it slander.

Denounce the term “anti-Semite” as just another piece of slander, too frequently used to silence Euro-Americans.

Ha! I just heard on O’Reilly that Foxman wants ABC to refuse to ahead with some Mel Gibson production. I thought it was about Mayan Indians but it isn’t: It’s about the Holocaust!

The 800lb gorilla in the room is Gibson’s 4 hour mini-series on the Holocaust that he was working on with ABC.  The big question in my mind is would a man who is working on such a project proclaim “My life is f***ed.” in the same breath that he proclaims “All the wars in the world are caused by Jews.” and then in a more sober state say “I am deeply ashamed of everything I said and I apologize to anyone who I have offended.” ?

This guy sounds like he is being put through the ringer subsequent to “The Passion of Christ”. 

So how do you take a guy worth hundreds of millions of dollars, make him do a project he obviously doesn’t really want to do and send him into an alcoholic relapse declaring “My life is f***ed”?

My answer:  Blackmail.

If they did it to J. Edgar Hoover, regarded as the most powerful man of the 20th century, they could do it to Mel Gibson.

Taking pot shots at Jews caused no lasting damage whatsoever to Marlon Brando, Truman Capote, Jesse Jackson, Hillary Clinton, Gore Vidal, or any of a number of other celebrities/public personages.  It won’t cause lasting damage to Gibson.  What ought to cause him lasting damage is the appallingly bad quality of his films, including, in my opinion, The Passion of Christ, Braveheart, and The Patriot—but that won’t cause him lasting damage either.  Now, if Jewish spokesmen like Abe Foxman were consistent they would very publicly denounce hatred-breathing, genocide-preaching, foaming-at-the-mouth obsessive Jewish anti-Europeans/anti-Christians like Prof. Noël Ignatief.  But that they’ll never do, for the reason that they fundamentally agree with them.  That gives an idea of Abe Foxman’s moral standing to denounce anyone for being anti-anything:  sorry, but it’s non-existent.

I don’t know the truth of the matter, but I do know it would make perfect sense for machines like Hollywood and the political establishment to require blackmail leverage before elevating anyone.  Thing is, these days there’s very little left to work with except murder, rape, bestiality, or pedophilia.

If you’re referring to Brando’s comments on Larry King about 10 years ago he was already washed up then - for about three decades. Besides he spent the next few days grovelling to Rabbi Hier at some Jewish or Holocaust museum in LA. Also, Brando’s worldview of evil whites and poor oppressed minorities served its purpose.

Truman Capote - that was a long time ago (1960s?). It’s the super-sensitive post-60s period that matters.

Jesse Jackson - as long as he’s popular with blacks it doesn’t matter if he offends others.

Hillary Clinton - ?

Gore Vidal - I think he has mostly just ridiculed Israel and its supporters. Wasn’t his lover - Howard - of 40 some odd years a Jew?

Besides none of those people (Hillary excepted) could be said to be popular with the masses. You also have people like Marge Schott and Pat Buchanan. The latter was considered by all to be a perfectly respectable conservative in the late 80s then suddenly became an extremist when Abe Rosenthal and Bill Buckley took him on over his alleged anti-semitism.

With all that said I like Zach Maulsby’s comment:

The arresting officer was Jewish after all. But he said it was just the booze talking and he didn’t take it personally.

At diversity workshops one is told to be sensitive to the lone woman or immigrant in a workplace because it can be frustrating over time for them to be surrounded by people with a different identity and interests. Think of how frustrating it must be for someone like Mel to live and work in a completely Jewish-dominated town where they probably all hate his guts. Surely blowing off a bit of steam after a few drinks is something we’ve all done.

The COP is to blame.
Leaking information if true is still contradicting the police station.
Leaking information to instigate and cause a riot.

Most likely the info of what the cop said is not true since the cop is Jewish and most Jews were trying to find any little thing to attack Mel.

Even if true Mel has the freedom to think what he wants? What next thought crimes? No one is perfect and the Jews act like they are targeting him because of the movie the passion and it seems like its taboo to talk about them negatively while attacking Christians in every day media is kosher.

The Cop in the end is not to be trusted since what they did was betray the police station to contradict them and leak information, or they most likely are making it up to hurt Mel. You can’t trust someone like that either way.

When the 3 Jewish Kids down south burned over 10 churches Foxman thought it was ok, but what mel did is unforgivable?

People I know with Al Pacino explores this topic and is one of the best political movies I know.  Most people today do not fundementally understand how our political arena works… how it is so greased with alien money, how ‘our’ politicians are controlled puppets to special interests, and how the communication media such as Hollywod hates us and wants us destroyed.  It is a self-reinforcing circle of destruction - one that cannot be stopped in our current form.  We need to break through the propaganda, get tough again, and take back control.

I don’t hate Jews, but I think they are screwd up people. They are too sensetive and have been using the same Haulocost excuse for too long (maybe they need to come up with a new excuse). My only problem with these MF’s is they are selfish, greedy and they need to come down their high Horses. I think their behavior is making them in the worse and worse position each day. They are creating problems for them selves by them selves. They have more hate towards other people and other religions than anybody on earth. They picked Mel because he made a movie they didn’t like and want to drink his blood like a F’n leeches that they are. As a Christian and former Sunday school teacher, as well as a former cop and bouncer, I find the outrage over this whole fiasco to be, quite frankly, hilarious.

The Jewish reaction is certainly typical, predictable TKB (Typical Kosher Behavior): expected and pretty much standard. It’s the reaction of some ‘Christians’ that amazes me, and I have a message for them: shut up.

Unless that “demon rum” has never passed your lips, or you’ve never had a cussing fit when frustrated (like Saint Peter did for instance), or you’ve never got lost your tempter and made a social faux pas, then shut up, you hypocrite.

If you voted for Dubya, who was arrested for DUI, yet condemn Gibson for it, then shut up, you hypocrite.

If you belong to a Protestant church, whose founder, Martin Luther, pointed out a whole lot worse things about Jews, yet you get upset over Gibson’s ‘anti-semitic’, then shut the hell up, you hypocrite.

The Ambler thinks the Gibson comments are being blown out of proportion and I for one agree completely.  In regard to the whole Gibson affair:  first, The Passion of Christ, while a pretty lousy film, was not anti-Semitic (even allowing for the deliberately-cultivated extreme vagueness of that term’s definition); second, Gibson’s drunken remarks about the Jews as he was being arrested have strictly no importance to anything whatsoever (that’s not The Ambler’s view—he didn’t put it that way—it’s my view).  Incidentally, here’s how Ambler entry closes:

I see that Andy Sullivan believes Mel Gibson is a ‘religious fundamentalis[t].’  I also see that Andy’s motto is from the much-abused George Orwell: ‘To see what is in front of one’s nose needs a constant struggle.’  How about this, then: The only thing Andy Sullivan can see is whatever is in front of his schlong.

We, the Jews, have lived through many obstacles in life, only to make a comeback and take the Life and the World by the horns. No one can deny that we don’t rule the World right now. We control most major resources of the World, especially in the US, which is: Washington Politics, Media, Law, Medicine, Pharmaceuticals, Gold, Diamond, Major Businesses in the US and around the World, etc., etc. Therefore I’m Very Proud of My Fellow Jews and what we have acomplished.

What all those anti-SEMITES with Mel Gibson leading the way don’t understand, but alot of Counties do, is; If we pull our resources out of any Country in the World, that Country’s economy will collapse beyond recognition. In other words, without the Jews the World would be back in the stone ages.  So, to all of the anti-SEMITES out there I’d like say, put up or shut up. When one considers the disgusting Jewish hate campaign against Gibson, his family, religion, and movie it’s not a bit of wonder he’s become anti-Jewish. We know he was a drug addict and drunk back in the 90s yet there is no evidence to suggest he ever showed disdain for Jews in the way he did last week. I think it’s obvious that the nastiness of the anti-Christian campaign waged against him when “The Passion of the Christ” came out has had an impact on Mel. Let’s hope he doesn’t do a Marlon Brando and go grovelling to them.

But if you read Enoch 1 it was prophesized a few thousand years before that the son of God will be bourn, as was it prophesized that Jesus,  he would be betrayed by one of his disciples,( And he was) and also he would die on the cross then rise again.( So he did)
If it was written in the book, then by definition it will be, as it was an inevitable event you can say.

Being pro-Scottish but anti-English, i.e. supporting the beggar over the alms giver, is being an egalitarian commie. Or haven’t you heard of, say, the Scottish Parliament building, the welfare transfers from England to Scotland, the remarkable drift of PFI money Northwards?

LOL like after the Spanish expelled them and went into their Golden Age? Or after England expelled them in the 1300s? England, Athens, Florence all reached their height without any jewish population.

You forgot the Nazi’s “economic miracle” after passing the Nuremberg laws.  They not only recovered from the Jewish rule of Weimar Germany with its hyper inflation, but during the international depression came out very well—so well that as a single country they were able to give the rest of the West a run for its money.  Then after their best were wasted in that war, they still flourished unlike any other Western country with a greatly reduced Jewish presence.

There is one reason and one reason alone that the ultimate sin is to exclude Jews from any Western country:

It would provide a control group.

James, that is a good point. 

That reminds me of something that I believe was in Irving’s “Hitler’s War”, in which Hitler was alleged to have said that his regime (I’m paraphrasing here) “proved that a country can run without Jews, and in fact run better, which is the biggest threat to them…”, something to that effect.

The biggest mistake of the regime as I see it was in the realm of foreign policy.  If there had been no war (or put it another way, no war that could be blamed on Hitler, Stalin may have invaded from the east), and if Germany’s Jews had simply been forced out by the regime’s policies and resettled elsewhere, it is likely that even establishment historical analysis of AH would have been balanced, or even grudgingly positive; certainly in Germany he would have been revered to a greater extent than Washington is - or was - here.

For ethnic Germans, the period from 1933-1939 seems to have been, from objective accounts, rather good.

Yes, I had that in mind.  Also, there were some interesting collaborations between Zionists and Nazis in the 1930s, having a shared interest in getting the Jews out of Germany.  However, the Grand Mufti, who had close relations to both Germany and Italy, presumably was against such a resettlement.

It is interesting that none of the Western powers showed much enthusiasm for taking in Germany’s Jews.

One wonders why.
