The Frenchman and the “Religion of Peace”

There’s been a surprisingly bullish market in dhimittude lately, so this might prove timely and amusing. Originally written during and about the recent French unpleasantness, but still relevant today. Enjoy!

The Frenchman and the “Religion of Peace”

Paris, once home of Verne, Proust, Flaubert
And other writers, like me, less overt,
Once the West’s guiding torch,
Scorched now by a different fire,
One testifying to the wanton desire
Of the men of the “religion of peace”.

Worked we did to all their needs sate,
Shelter, food, clothes they got from our generous state.
We never asked for anything but gratitude:
Now, we get our splendid pay-back
From the brawling, mutinous, murderous pack
They of the “religion of peace”.

A thousand windows go to shatters,
Thousands of lives; none of it matters
To our leaders, comfortable elsewhere
Nor to these, their blades redly gleaming
The streets with plundering invaders teeming,
All for the “religion of peace”.

The streets of the capital of Western culture,
Swept bone dry, like a corpse by a ravenous vulture,
Resound to the cries of young and old:
“Oh, when will it cease,
This religion of peace,
From bloodshed, plunder, destruction?

Oh lord help us, hear our word,
Save us from the fate of the ravaged herd:
What did we do, to deserve this?
We gave them a home,
To finish their roam,
The payment is lacking, n’est pas?”

Whilst continues this blood-soaked farce,
Our leaders blather of understanding between them and us
And of fault lying on both sides: Mon dieu!
We sheltered them from the wind and the storm,
Now through our ravaged streets they roam
Adherents of the “religion of peace”.

A smirk in their eyes, a word in the ear,
We know the looters have nothing to fear.
One of our leaders explains to us,
That it has now come to pass
That we must supplicate before the wrath
Of the march of the “religion of peace”.

ALEX,DO YOU KNOW THE NAME OF THE AUTHOR? I’d like to distribute it to several secondary school instructors,and also attempt to paraphrase it into “doing the jobs Americans won’t do”.Regardless,thanks for the submission.

French…, I deliberatly modelled it on Kipling’s poetry. Are you an admirer of his aswell?

Oh, and it was never written in French. If you want to have a go at translating it, that’s fine. Five years of French lessones, and I can just about describe my bedroom excaim

(Translated, meaning and wording slightly altered fo rhymes)

Le Français et la religion de paix

Paris, jadis foyer de Verne, Proust, Flaubert
Et autres comme moi, moins populaires
Autrefois la lanterne guidant l’Occident
Maintenant incendiée d’un feu différent
Un attestant la gratuite animosité
Des hommes de la “religion de paix”

Nous avons travaillé pour leur satiété
Manger, boire et linge de notre société
Sans jamais rien demander pour gratitude
Aujourd’hui nous ne recevons que turpitude
De la tumultueuse, rebelle, meurtrière flopée
Ceux de la “religion de paix”.

Mille fenêtres brisées en fracas
Mille vies; rien ne fait de cas
Pour nos gouvernants, à l’aise ailleurs
Ni pour eux aux rougeoyantes épées
Les rues infestées de pillards envahisseurs,
Tous pour la “religion de paix”.

Des allées de la capitale de l’Occident
Désossées, comme par un rapace affamé
Retentissent les cris des jeunes et des aînés
“Oh, cela cessera t’il quand,
Cette religion de paix,
Avec carnage, rapine, destruction?

Seigneur aide nous, entends notre supplique
Sauve nous du sort d’une autre réplique
Qu’avons-nous fait, pour le mériter?
Nous leur avons accordé notre cité
Pour terminer leur errance
Sans reconnaissance, en cette instance?

Alors que se poursuit la bouffonnerie rance,
Nos gouvernants déblatèrent sur l’intégration
Et la faute également partagée: non-sens!
Nous avons couvé toute cette génération,
Maintenant ils errent nos rues ravagées
Adhérents à la “religion de paix”.

L’arrogance à l’œil, le mépris chuchoté,
Nous savons qu’ils n’ont rien à redouter
Qu’un de nos gouvernants nous explique
Pourquoi jamais son courroux ne s’applique
Que nous devons par avance nous prosterner
A l’avancée de la “religion de paix”.
