Italy: Adoptive parents ‘can’t specify child’s race’

Rome, 29 April (AKI) - Italian couples, who are seeking to adopt a child, are guilty of racism if they reject black or non-European children, the prosecutor at Italy’s highest court claimed on Wednesday. The prosecutor backed a court petition by Italy’s Friends of Children association of adoptive and foster parents (AIBI).

The Court of Cassation’s prosecutor agreed with AIBI’s petition that a previous ruling by a court in Catania was racist because it allowed a couple who did not want black or non-European children to adopt a child.

He said it breached the Italian constitution and international human rights law.

“Mercenary” interests such as those of the unidentified couple should “disqualify them from being parents,” AIBI said in its petition.

The petition is expected to be considered by judges from all sections of the Court of Cassation. The high court’s rulings almost invariably follow the prosecutor’s recommendations.

“The Catania court’s ruling is at odds with Italian adoption law and legislation protecting children. It is illegitimate because it flouts international conventions outlawing all forms of racial discrimination,” AIBI president Marco Griffini wrote in the petition to the court.

“The court should uphold the rights of children to grow up and be educated in a family environment without being discriminated against on grounds of sex, ethnic and linguistic identity and in full respect for their cultural identity.”

If the court rules in favour of the AIBI’s petition, lower Italian courts will no longer be able to allow such ‘racist’ couples to adopt.

While I was enjoying the creativity of sirrealpolitik, a horrible thought came to mind. I envisioned the government offering a substantial tax credit for any white family that takes in a “disadvantaged” black youth. Perhaps the movie The Blind Side was the prototype of the new and impoved Leave it to Beaver? How many wacky white liberals would participate in such a social engineering proposition? I’m afraid more than we would like to believe. Just like the latest fad of high profile white bitches adopting niglets, white families taking in slum dwelling blacks could be next?

I was under the impression that adoption agencies tried to match as much as possible the child’s ethno-religious background with that of any prospective parents. We’ve heard Blacks complain of “cultural genocide” when White liberals adopt Blacks.

Twenty years ago it would have been laughable if someone would suggest gay marriage would become legal in America. Well, now it looks like it will be in the not so distant future. You have the _______ takeover of our once Christian culture to thank for it.

What does interracial adoption and gay marriage have to do with one another? It all ties in together, all of it. If you don’t know how, I’m sure if you think about it long enough you’ll be able to figure it out.

Oh my, that was hilarious.

I love how the BBC distils the problem of immigration as a matter of immigrants from Poland: Your daddy’s “European problem” was that they were an enemy with whom he was at war, and we were united as a nation in knowing how to deal with (kill) them, the BBC muses (paraphrasing).

I lived in the UK for a few years recently, and I must tell you that everyone there who complains about “immigrants from Eastern Europe” or “Poland” is actually really complaining about immigrants from Africa and Asia.

It’s just that they can’t SAY they don’t like immigrants from Africa because it isn’t politically correct, but everyone knows that that is what they really mean. They can complain about immigrants from Eastern Europe precisely because such immigrants are white, and this allows people to vent about immigration generally without appearing “racist.”

But everyone who is sensitive to these things knows that “Polish immigrants” is actually a kind euphemism for every other immigrant, especially non-white ones, who are the real issue.

So in other words, that BBC article was REALLY about African and Asian immigration, only it was couched in code, like an old alchemical treatise.

I mean does anyone in England really go around thinking “These bloody Lithuanians! Everywhere I cast a bloody glance!”?

As Griffo would say, Lithyoos are whiter than he is. But even he uses Lithyoos as immigrant exhibit A, because it allows him to talk more freely about immigration generally without, as I’ve said, getting derided for being “rayyyyyyycisss.”

I don’t hold that tactic against him, because I know he has to play that game. But it is a game the BBC instigated and thus necessitates.

Though I think even they should’t immigrate in large numbers, most Polish in England fit in rather well, culturally speaking. They’re relatively quiet and hard working. They won’t bomb your tube or bendy bus, that’s for sure.

This pic was in one of Dan’s posts from a while back.  I’ve also seen the BNP use it on their site a number of times.  It really is Camp of the Saints type stuff.  That montage of yours in the OP is hilarious, I get a laugh every time I look at it!

Does this mean, for example, that you could be given a muslim child in what is essentially a racial lottery, and then you HAVE to actually bring it up as a Muslim as well—“respecting their cultural identity” as it says?

As usual, I am tempted to say ‘this is insanity’, but have trained myself out of this habit. It’s not insanity, it’s reality.

Polish immigrants are always “disliked”. Even when i was in Ireland they complained about Polish immigrants taking over work and such (thinking of the recession). There are very few Black immigrants in Ireland. The Irish had jokes about how Polish can be distinguished from them….referring to head shape or something about it being round. You see….even different Whites hate each other
