The Lady of KnoxvilleMRM sent our reporter back to Knoxville to cover the June 16 rally. This interview took place in Market Square two hours before the event began. There’s a twist, so watch to the end of the second part before responding. Posted by Søren Renner on Sunday, June 24, 2007 at 09:30 PM in Comments:2
Posted by Voice on June 25, 2007, 10:07 AM | # Hmmm Why do I get the feeling that after Soren told her he was a WN that she became more comfortable? It must be that Implicit/Explicit conscious mind again that KMAC was talking about! lol 3
Posted by Guessedworker on June 25, 2007, 05:28 PM | # These two films should be required viewing for all who are tempted to stereotype his fellow man, or woman. Kitty is a woman of acquired liberal sensibilities, beneath which stirs a beautiful heart. No doubt she manages to buffer these opposites sufficiently to live her life well. But as I listened to her talk about “hate”, and praise Hilary Hosta’s rarified troop and the vile, idiotic, disrespectful clowns of Knoxville 1, I couldn’t say that she really, truly believed any of it. Then the sincerity flowed ... for guns. What is good and most real in this woman is not to be found in her professional submission to the dictates of her news editor or the regulation applause she gives up for all things liberal and self-harming. Rather, you will find it somewhere in that line of transmission running from love for the man who was her father to the gun-holding tradition of the free American. Perhaps white America isn’t in as much trouble as she seems. 4

“what would you say to someone who argues that since according to DOJ figures blacks commit 7 times more murders than whites that the safe and moral thing to do for whites is to stay away from blacks as much as they can ? What would be your argument for racial integration ?” You could have asked her if she thought a good mother would let her daughters hang out with niggers considering all the risks. That would have been interesting, to see her experience cognitive dissonance and try to explain away black criminality by economic/social factors, without really believing any of it 5
Posted by Guessedworker on June 26, 2007, 12:15 PM | # JB, Soren will feel his way into this work as he goes. These unplanned, unscripted encounters will always be a bit edgy because they are talking about the big, bad “r” word. That edgyness is part of their charm. But it isn’t the purpose here to place any filter or any construction on what is being said by the subject. Rather, the issue is to look through to the person behind the statement. These are our people, and we have to know how they accomodate themselves to the astonishing political extremism of white suicidalism. To that end, Soren is dedicated to letting the subjects speak for themselves as much as possible, and avoiding running them through the filter of his own values and beliefs. My tastes in music heve altered somewhat since reading MR, and I appreciate the inclusion of the bluegrass group. Before, I was mainly interested in music in the vein of the British invasion here in the U.S.
I’ve been anxious to respond to one of these posts because I grew up about 500 miles from Knoxville, only ever making one trip to the city. With my grandparents, we traveled by Greyhound bus. They kept me occupied with various sweets, game books (I was 12 years old), and a few ‘toys’, namely Alexander’s Star; it was Rubik’s Cube people’s latest puzzle-twister on the market, and I may have solved it, if not close. We made one or two stops, the memorable one being Harper’s Ferry, a semi-famous landmark. It was either a bridge or the name of a wide-ish ravine, something impressive for the majority of the older folks on the trip.
Knoxville provided good memories, too lengthy to go into on this board and especially for the seriousness of this post. But I’m very interested in the subject and almost proud that I have a connection to what you are doing Soren. Keep up the good work.
p.s. I think the couple of people I was in touch with recently, regarding a planned day at a gun shooting range (which would be my first exposure), shied away perhaps of the odd glimmer of my personality, which I attribute to my induction to the MR crowd. I can only say I think it’s for the better.
