Part 3: The Ordeal of Civility - Freudian pathology is universalized to begin with in order for them to enter into the gentile world as if they are innocuous and not going to absolve themsleves, as they later would. To unmask the Gentile world that had closed them out, they pathologized privacy into a matter of neurotic secrets.

Lured by the promise of civil rights, they found that the ticket to was not really civil rights but bourgeoisie rights.
