After Brexit: Victory for integrity of “them.” Tiny native Icleand defeats mercenary England 2 - 1

Posted by DanielS on Tuesday, 28 June 2016 05:01.

England suffered one of the most humiliating defeats in their history after Iceland came from behind 2 -1.

Match report

Coach Roy Hodgson resigns ...goes the way of fellow mercenary maiden David Cameron… it’s not really the yang of karma, but hermeneutic feedback of another leak in the hull that needs tending ....all a part of getting your ship in order, England. Along with your Brexit victory there needed to be humbling defeat - albeit on a trivial but symbolic level - a lesson in the integrity of losing with your own men rather winning with mercenaries in international play.

Now, if you are going to lose to a tiny country of 330,000, a country that has the integrity to play with its native White men…

Why not play with your native English men and see how it turns out?

Better to lose with your native men than to win with mercenaries..

Belgium’s Mulatto circus beat White Hungary - it was a shame. Hungary may have been the better team but played tight, while Belgium was loose…

Posted by UK turns to Bale as archetype in Euro on Wed, 29 Jun 2016 13:25 | #

The UK now turns to Wales and Gareth Bale, in particular, as its native archetype to root for in the Euro 2016:

On Gareth Bale -

Speaking at an interview in 2012, Manchester City fullback Micah Richards revealed that Bale was one of his toughest opponents he had ever faced, saying that:

“He made me feel an inch tall. Took me to pieces. He just doesn’t stop running. It’s ridiculous.”

Redknapp made even more positive comments regarding Bale in October 2012, stating that he is in the same class as both Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. He said:

“He’s an amazing, amazing talent and he’s after the Ronaldos and Messis of this world and he’s getting better and better. He’s almost unplayable when he’s on his game. He is a genuine world-class player. There’s nobody he couldn’t play for. He’d improve any team.”

How can they really expect a passionate performance when identity you represent, the English, is so heavily stigmatised and the flag of your country, the St George’s Cross, is considered a hate symbol in many areas of the country…

More humbled dark mercenaries

Italy did alright against Germany, tied 1 - 1 after two extra periods, they went to penalty kicks.

Germany’s token black, Boetang, had allowed Italy to tie the score by stupidly putting his hands up in front of the goal, leaving one of his arms prone to being hit, which it was in the goal area: hence, a penalty kick for Italy to equal the score 1 - 1.

Italy was well coached until a non-Italian, “Zaza”, was brought in as a replacement just on time for the penalty kicks.

He was bad karma, so to speak

When it was his turn, he did a ridiculous showboating jig (not characteristically Italian) before kicking the ball over the net.

Here described as the worst penalty kick ever, and it may well be the worst:

It was the worst of a bad penalty round as Germany charitably choked as well, missing penalty kicks right along side Italy’s failed attempts. Finally, after 9 penalty kicks, Germany missed one less.

Independent, “Wales vs Portugal Euro 2016 preview: Gareth Bale seeking to replicate Denmark and Greece ‘fairytales”, 5 July 2016:

Unexpected succesess in 1992 and 2004 are acting as inspiration for Wales at this year’s tournament

The Wales talisman Gareth Bale insisted on Monday that his nation was capable of repeating “the fairytale” of Denmark and Greece’s wins in 1992 and 2004 by winning the European Championship.

Bale disclosed 48 hours out from his nation’s semi-final against Portugal that he had booked his holiday for next Monday - the day after the tournament’s final - in the full belief that the side “could do something.” Wales - who will play in their change grey strip on Wednesday - could improve on their hugely acclaimed victory over Belgium in the quarter-finals, he also said.

“I fully believed that we could do something. That is why I booked my holiday for the 11th,” Bale said.
