Italian politician fined €50,000, losing house, for fair remarks on African interloping as minister

He made two unexceptional remarks: 1) The born-African “took away a job from an Italian doctor”. 2) “Africans are Africans and belong to an ethnic group very different from ours.” For this, he has to pay the negress €50,000!

Italy’s first black minister has said she feels “vindicated” after winning a four-year court battle against a far-right MEP who made repeated racist slurs against her.

Mario Borghezio has been order to pay Cécile Kyenge 50,000 euros ($55,690; £42,895) by a court in Milan. Among other comments, Borghezio said she “took away a job from an Italian doctor” in a 2013 radio interview.

The Northern League MEP must also pay Ms Kyenge’s legal fees. Borghezio - who was briefly suspended by his party in 2011 for saying he agreed with parts of Norwegian mass murderer Anders Breivik’s manifesto - reportedly said he would lose his house following the ruling.

However, Ms Kyenge, who was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo, told the BBC’s Newsday radio programme: “At the end of the day this is a strong message against impunity. those who believe there is no justice should think twice.

“Through this verdict the younger generations have also learned that a civilised society is based on mutual respect, and zero tolerance for discrimination.”

Ms Kyenge, pictured, decided to pursue him through the courts - and won Ms Kyenge, who trained as an ophthalmologist in Italy, found herself subject to abuse after she was named as integration minister in 2013 - including having bananas thrown at her during a political rally and being compared to an orang-utan.

She was provided with police protection, but decided to pursue Borghezio through the courts after the 2013 interview, in which he also said “Africans are Africans and belong to an ethnic group very different from ours”.

Negro comments on Richard Spencer and says what he (typically of blacks) thinks about White men who seek to assert their interests.

Negro supremacist says that Whites who look after their own are just afraid to compete. Well, of course we do not want to compete, i.e., share resources with people who have nothing that we want, no reward to offer for competing. We like our people, our lands, and our way of life - which for all your negro supremacism, you don’t match. And if some White women like black men so much as you say, then let them go live with the way of life that your people create of your own accord and stay there - lol - Comment by DanielS

I can agree with some of that. I don’t know that his former wife is not White (enough) but she is marginal and apparently even further-out politically.

I don’t know that he promotes Islamo-hysteria. I don’t abide that term or Islamophobia.

I doubt very much that Jews comprise that high a percentage of the alt right - not that they need to, or even need to be represented in person to hold sway.

Kyenge in Macerata after Luca Traini made his dramatic gesture of defiance

Cécile Kyenge is an African who invaded Italy illegally. Somehow she was allowed to stay, acquired citizenship and, at one point, became a minister in the Italian government. She is still an MEP and regularly lectures Italians on how evil they are for wanting to exist, and makes prolific use of the criminal law to persecute Italians who express unhappiness about the genocide being inflicted on them by their own government.

With the Italian elections upcoming on March 4, she was interviewed (in French) recently on La Matinale, a Swiss radio program. Almost the entirety of the discussion focused on the supposed racism, fascism and irrational hatred of the Italians, as revealed by the fact that some of them do not want to simply hand their country over to Africans.

In the course of the discussion, Kyenge made the following extraordinary remarks.

Interviewer: In Italy, these fascist, xenophobic, racist demonstrations…you are of Congolese origin, you were the first black minister in Italy, you had to endure racist insults from members of the Italian political class, very violent insults, we won’t go back over that, is there a specific problem in Italy because in Switzerland, for example, that would be completely impossible?

Kyenge: It’s not a specific problem in Italy. But racism exists. There are laws that are badly applied. There is a population that needs to be *accompanied in this change, I can say, this change of population, the change in the composition of the population, the mobility is not specific to Italy, it’s a global phenomenon.

[Il y a une population qui a besoin d’être accompagnée dans ce changement, je peux dire, ce changement de la population, le changement de la composition de la population, c’est un phénomène global.]

*Alongside its obvious English equivalent, the French word accompagner can also have the meaning of “to support, to assist”.

Yes, it’s a global phenomenon. All white people, it seems, need to be accompanied in the change in the composition of our population. We should be grateful for thoughtful Africans like Cécile Kyenge who want to support us in this difficult time.
