Morality tale

The Times reports today on the sad if perhaps not entirely unpredictable demise of one Linda MacDonald, the English wife of an African “healer”.  She, silly girl, brought this primitive savage from Burkina Faso to her semi-detached home in Buckfastleigh, South Devon.  He, an “elder of the Dagara tribe” no less, must have felt personally and culturally degraded by every miraculous thing that he witnessed in sunny Devon.  In any event, he “became disorientated” and battered her to death, even though his flight home to Burkina Faso was about to be booked.

I don’t generally copy & paste articles as they stand.  But, as the judge at Exeter Crown Court said while sentencing the gentleman concerned, “The circumstances of this case are so extraordinary ...”  Not least, I would add, because the happy couple didn’t speak a word of one another’s language.  Amazing what a primitive African penis can do for a girl - one of the few erections in Africa that convinces anybody, I should think.  But the dippiness of the whole venture is perhaps best encapsulated by Miss MacDonald’s stunning attempt to challenge the global pharmaceutical industry in gentle, quiet Buckfastleigh by setting up her wonderful new husband as a traditional healer.  Does that sound like a runner commercially to you?  Thought not - the African record on disease being what it is and all.

So, The Times reports:-

AN AFRICAN healer who killed his English wife because he thought she was going to sell him as a slave was jailed for her manslaughter yesterday.

Exeter Crown Court had been told that Hibiekoun Hien, 54, became disorientated after he moved from a village in Burkina Faso, where he had spent his entire life, to Linda MacDonald’s semi-detached home in Buckfastleigh, South Devon. He feared that his new wife planned to sell him to pay for a new car.

Hien, who had admitted manslaughter last month, appeared for sentencing yesterday and was jailed for five years by Mr Justice Steel.

He was a highly regarded spiritual healer in his own country and came to Britain unable to speak a word of English. Miss MacDonald, 53, an alternative therapist, was unable to speak his language, Djoula.

The court was told that he spent seven weeks in Britain before trying to escape back to Africa, but he got lost before he could reach the airport.

Miss MacDonald had tried to persuade him to stay, but had then relented. At the time she was killed they were waiting to arrange a flight to take Hien home.

Miss MacDonald died from head injuries after he struck her twice with an iron bar. He then fled by jumping out of a first-floor window because he did not know how to unlock the front door.

The judge told him: “The circumstances of this case are so extraordinary they present me with a very difficult sentencing exercise. The attack on your wife seems to me to be immediately connected to your arrival in this country and facing the enormous cultural gap that involved.

“In the few weeks you were in England you appear to have become paranoid, fearing quite irrationally that people, including your wife, were trying to kill you or your wife was going to sell you.”

Geoffrey Mercer, QC, for the prosecution, said that Miss MacDonald met Hien during a visit to Burkina Faso, where she had gone to learn traditional healing methods.

Hien was an elder of the Dagara tribe who believed he was destined to marry a white woman. The couple married last August, despite having no common language, and returned to live in Devon where they set up an African healing business.

Mr Mercer said: “Hien had obvious difficulties adjusting to life in Buckfastleigh and suffered substantial mental confusion. He believed people were plotting to kill him or he would be sold.

“He admitted striking the deceased after an argument and then jumping out of a window, which is how he himself sustained injuries.

“He told the officers, ‘She told me people were coming to kill me. She repeated that to me. What would you do? I hit her. I did not know she was going to die. That was not my intention.’ ”

Paul Dunkels, QC, for Hien, said that the contrast between his life in Burkino Faso and Buckfastleigh had led to the tragedy.

He said: “Until August last year this man was living in a rural community in Burkino Faso in a village without electricity or running water. He held a respected position as an elder and healer and came from a family with a tradition of healing, which he is believed to have inherited from his ancestors.

“Burkino Faso is one of the poorest countries in the world and he, like most of the population, could neither read nor write. For him to come here was not just to travel to a foreign country where he could not speak the language and nobody could speak to him. It was to travel across a cultural divide that is immense.

“Notwithstanding the companionship of his wife, he was completely isolated from any community existence and as the weeks went by the cultural difference left him increasingly confused and stressed and anxious.”

The judge ordered that Hien should be deported after serving his sentence in Britain.

He told the officers, ‘She told me people were coming to kill me. She repeated that to me. What would you do? I hit her. I did not know she was going to die. That was not my intention.’

Hmmm.

Couldn’t read, write, speak or understand English. But managed to comprehend her threatening him in English; and had somehow mastered enough of the exotic language to provide himself a self-defense alibi.

Maybe I’ve done the worthy African gentleman a disservice, though; maybe the arresting officers had just completed a DJOULA FOR DUMMIES crash-course.

IR,

One can only despair when an English judge, presumeably a man of some intelligence, addresses the accused with the words, “you appear to have become paranoid”.  Notwithstanding the fact that matey doesn’t speak English and has not yet had the possibility to digest all the encyclopedii on mental illness, what is the “traditional” cure for paranoia, exactly?  Would our healer friend disgnose it by tossing chicken bones or interpreting his neighbour’s dreams?

Note for the judge: evolution did not stop at the neck.  The races of humanity are not all mysteriously equal.  The average Burkina Fasoan might just be an irredeemable savage who should rarely if ever be brought into our midst.

At least he’s ordered that Mr Hein is deported after serving (half) his sentence.

Is a woman’s life really only worth two and half years prison?  Probably, when she’s that stupid.

Having scanned some of the most recent blogs at MR - most concerning the recent terror-bombings, and the Damocles sword of current Western demographics hanging over all of us - I’m forced to note that isolated Grand Guignol newspaper items like this serve almost as palliatives.

God help us all - but this story has a calming, soothing effect! Firstly it doesn’t involve us except as onlookers, gawking from a safe remove. We can shake our heads with a certain amount of mordant, almost philosophical, mirth at the insane we’re-all-just-people hubris of Linda MacDonald; our chuckling informed by our sure and certain knowledge that we would never - could never - commit such hopelessly fatal errors of judgment. The mind’s eye freeze-frames the image of the grass-skirted witch doctor fruitlessly shaking a juju stick at a freakin’ doorknob, before deciding to dive out an open window instead, as though it were a Harold Lloyd outtake - slapstick comedy. And lastly… but most importantly…there is a compartmentalized finality to this story that soothes us like a lanolin rub. It is isolated and contained to one (unlucky) household in South Devon; it has a beginning, a middle and an end. Travesty of justice though the sentence might be, we’re now so used to race-based travesties of justice than even the final denouement allows us the satisfaction of its very predictability. There it is, in a neat package that can fit into any travel-case, a small, sardonic horror story whose frissons reassure us, because we can always draw sustenance from the knowledge that - for all our failings - we would certainly never be as stupid as Linda MacDonald, nor our deaths be as tragicomic.

And then one turns to the bombing stories, and the other ticking time-bomb - of immigration - that no one seems able or willing to defuse. Then one considers the numbers, and the portent of those numbers; the dull stares and vacant eyes of our brainwashed youth (to say nothing of our fellow adult citizens), staring at the cathode glow of the glass teat and suckling contentedly, swallowing everything that emerges from it; the interchangable GIGO pablum of our elected officials who wave a flag with one hand and count brown votes with the other; the millions of Hibiekoun Hiens already among us, fertilizing our homelands with their copious, inexhaustible seed….

Yes, it’s calming indeed to read stories like this one - Hyacinth Bucket And The Witch Doctor - where the idiocy is contained, the damage is done and past, and the casualty-list is a grand total of one foolish woman. But its soothing qualities are best appreciated with the window-shade pulled down, and all the curtains drawn.

Good comment by Il Ragno there.

Btw, can anyone represent to himself the hilarity of the act of seduction this 53-year-old small-town English old maid must have embarked upon when she managed to get this African witch doctor into bed with her for the first time (presumably over there in the Burkina-Faso village)?  I mean, talk about funny ...  Imagine that scene in the hands of a good Hollywood comedy director, recreated in a movie ...

To which I can only add that this “palliative” is not, of course, isolated by anything other than its tragi-comedy and the fact that, for once, race couldn’t be kept out of the reporting.

The serious purpose to discussing the case here is to set up, insomuch as one is remotely able to do so, the concept of genetic distance in opposition to the river of RDNE marxism that flows out of the establishment’s mouth.

No one can say that, had genetic distance been an idea freely circulating in society, poor Linda would be alive today.  Perhaps nothing could have saved her and she does not, in fact, represent the lost white women who take up with blacks ever night of the week in our cities.  But one must still speak one’s truth with what means come to had.

Bah, why punish behavior you want replicated?

The real crime is to follow and involves a rug and some sweeping.  Apparently we won’t fix this mess until there’s so much under it we hit our heads on the ceiling walking over it.

I love the judge’s bit about “becoming paranoid.”  It’s easy to become paranoid when one is a primitive savage, now isn’t it?

Gotta love that, paranoia is an explanation for murder.  How about “he comes from a primitive, savage people and culture” instead of the environmentally absolutist cowardice?

As another MR poster so aptly asked, who exactly lifted European man out of primitive savagery?  Since environment is the sole, supreme explanation, the leftist theory of everything, this question should generate some amusing answers.
