The real results of 7/7: Assimilationism and Islam as “the Religion of Peace”

Posted by Guessedworker on Saturday, 16 July 2005 09:51.

Today that pixie-faced, shallow actor - a man of moderate intellect and faultless political instinct - will make a speech setting out his and his government’s position, one week and two days on from the London attacks.  It will concentrate, I think, in three areas: security, community action and “big politics”.

The police response thusfar has been quite amazing.  Scotland Yard and MI5 have barged through the investigation at a pace I, for one, have never witnessed in a major investigation.  Equally impressive, the world’s press has been apprised of every new lead, every breakthrough with remarkable and commendable speed.  That, I suppose, has more to do with the nature of a case in which the prime suspects are not going to face trial.  But it has allowed the public focus to shift very early on in the course of events to the wider issues of Islamic fundamentalism and multiculturalism.  That positively encourages a holistic, political approach to be taken.  It is pretty clear that Blair’s will be characteristically opportunistic and two-fold:-

a) Islam is a religion of peace and is not truly reflected in the ideology of Sayyed Qutb or his latter-day martyrs.  Therefore the peaceful Moslem “community” must itself root out those in its midst who wander from the true path into the AQ cult of death - or commend others to do so.

b) Young “Britons” brainwashed into the aforementioned cult of death are also the victims of a failed government policy of multiculturalism.  Political initiatives must now be generated to wind down the Multi-Cult and replicate “The London Experience” country-wide.

Well, (a) amounts to a generational contest.  Time is on the wrong side.  The Moslem religious and political establishment must make the young think as they do, or the consolations of their hierarchical status will end.  But they must do so against a background of the War on Terror - a War on Islam to the young.  They may have the effect of suppressing radical sentiments.  But that isn’t the same thing as driving them out.

I admit that I have no wish to know Pakistanis so well that I can safely predict which way this one will go.  We may not find out at all for a long number of years, though we will certainly be daily told much of the wonders of peaceful Islam and of our two million dear friends in Bradford, Oldham, Leeds, Leicester, Luton et al - all Britons just like us.

For the English, then, the truth of things will be hermetically sealed away.  But we will get to carry the can for young Moslem “alienation” and anything else that can possibly be hung around our necks.  We should expect more anti-racism, more guilt.  It is, after all, race replacement, and our establishment is firmly on the Moslem’s side.

Meanwhile, (b) pressages the heady, endless cultural joy of black men shafting white women and happy, happy Smartie-coloured neighbourhoods just like on Eastenders.  London is the cultural marxist anti-racists’ wet dream, though they are guilty of the gravest hubris.  The English of London - I am one - don’t love what has become of their city.  No matter how often aliens, Livingstonian marxists and their fellow travellers repeat the mantra that London is a wonderfully exciting City for the World, enriched by its diversity, a lie remains a lie.

But today Assimilationists such as Trevor Phillips have the upper hand.  These people assume that the past encouragement of immigrant communities, implicit in official multiculturalism, to cleave to their own kind, to ghettoise and, in the Moslem case, to reject Western “values”, can be re-calibrated.  Government diktat will suffice for Britain to be rendered unto a Salad Bowl!

For sure, assimilation will have a different and non-cultural focus from multiculturalism.  It won’t be our culture that is assaulted.  It will be our physical environments and, indeed, our daily lives.

This ignores human nature, of course, and any suggestion that IQ has something to do with the lowly economic outcomes of Pakistanis in my country.  But, the push for assimilation starts today, when Blair stands up to speak.  Ultimately, it will generate a further loading of racial stress on the English.  For we, too, have found some little solace, some protection while immigrants gathered together in their national and religious groupings.  A serious attempt to open our society further to aliens may - may - produce an interesting cleavage among us.  It depends where the bar for tolerance rests.  As an Englishman I honestly don’t know the answer to that.  Some, certainly, will be more tolerant, more “elastic” in this regard than others.  Some, certainly, will accept “the inevitable” and think of other things.  But not all, of course.  “English = elastic” is not really a serious way of thinking of us.  It is wishful thinking.

I have not the slightest doubt that Blair and Co have never seriously considered the limits to English tolerance, and probably cannot do so for ideological reasons.  By diktat English elasticity must not have an end point ... or the grotesque marxian process of ending the English in England may itself end with something entirely unexpected!

Let us hope so.

“Nor is it to be supposed that the man of conventional wishdom is an object of pity. Apart from his socially useful role, he has come to good terms with life. He can think of himself with justice as socially elect, for society in fact accords him the applause which his ideas are so arranged as to evoke. Secure in this applause he is well armed against the annoyance of dissent. His bargain is to exchange a strong and even lofty position in the present for a weak one in the future. In the present he is questioned with respect, if not at great length, by Congressional Commeitees; he walks near the head of the academic processions; he appears on symposia; he is a respected figure at the American Assembly, he is hailed at testimonial banquets. He risks being devastated by hostile events. But by then he may be dead. Only posterity is unkind to the man of conventional wisdom, and all poseterity does is bury him in a blanket of neglect. However, somewhat more serious issues are at stake… Keynes, in his most famous observation, noted that we are ruled by ideas and by very little else. In the immediate sense this is true. And he was right in attributing importance to ideas as opposed to the simple influence of pecuniary vested interest. But the rule of ideas is only powerful in a world that does not change. Ideas are inherently conservative. They yield not to the attack of other ideas byt to the massive onslaught of circumstance with which they cannot contend.”

the world’s press has been apprised of every new lead, every breakthrough with remarkable and commendable speed.

Since blogging at MR I’ve attempted to learn more about British politics and public figures.

You may recall, several months ago, when ‘Red Ken’ made some off color remarks about Jews? Well, he was excoriated in US media outlets like ABC and NPR.

After the bombings ‘Red Ken’ gave several speeches that seemed to villify the BNP and defend the state religion: multiculturalism.

After these speeches we may assume he has been rehabilitated, NPR and ABC are showcasing his Churchillian speeches. How quickly the Left today forgives transgressions. Not like in the old Soviet days.

Hitler was a passafist, Stalin was Miss-understood,Lenen was Gay and a cross dresser, Bin Laden is gay, and has aids, like Arafat, and Islam is peaceful and Pias Cult, it must be the Christian and Jewish Crusaders in the name of Islam destroying the earth. If this is what you believe, and have become that dosile and stupid, then just jump off the closes cliff and save the rest of us the trouble.May pig poo rest apon you. Take Red Ken with you.                                  Fantacy land thinking.

It certainly seems to be the case that many if not most of the leading lights in the Diversity and Equality sector are shunning multiculturalism as being tired and dated, rather 70s-ish.

But as for replicating the ‘London Experience’, it seems clear that that can be successfully implemented elsewhere for only as long as flight remains an option for indigenes.

Surely one of the key ingredients in the perceived success of the London Experience has been the relative absence of indigenes in the mix, with the obvious exception of the very rich, the very poor, and the young or single seekers after alternative lifestlyes.t

Might the end of tolerance coincide with a future inability of middle-Englanders to finance exurban or Southern European bolt-holes?

Leaders have paid tribute to the 52 people who died in the July 7 bombings on the 15th anniversary of the terror attack.

A series of explosions ripped through London in co-ordinated terrorist strikes in 2005.

The attacks targeted three London Underground trains and a double-decker bus. The bombers and 52 others were killed, and more than 700 people were injured.

Metro 7 July 2020

‘For the victims, and for you, their loved ones, the horror of that day was total. 52 people were cruelly robbed of their lives, nearly 800 people were injured, families were torn apart, and the most unimaginable pain and grief was visited upon so many of you.’ - Prince Charles
