Murder re-visits the Dutch anti-immigration right
Van Gogh, 47, was the director of the hugely controversial film, Submission. The writer, Somalian-born Hirsi Ali was a Muslim apostate who determined to reveal to Western audiences the nature of a Muslim woman’s married life. Inevitably, she attracted a wave of opposition from among Holland’s one million Muslims. She is now a Dutch MP. A bitter and ironic twist to the the murder today is that van Gogh was working on a film of the equally shocking political assasination of anti-immigrationist and rising star of the right, Pym Fortuyn. Having been painted by the mainstream, liberal media as an extremist and racist Fortuyn received innumerable threats to his life. Still he neither requested armed protection nor was it offered. The irony was that, actually, Fortuyn was an economic Thatcherite and social libertarian who, like van Gogh, was deeply troubled by the Islamification of Dutch society and by racial change in general. An animal rights activist and environmentalist, Volkert van der Graaf, shot Fortuyn dead on 5th May, 2002. There are many Dutch who believe that, had he lived, he would have been Prime Minister today. Now another champion of the Dutch people’s right to their homeland is gone. Comments:2
Posted by Fred Scrooby on Fri, 05 Nov 2004 02:35 | # Braveheart writes, “The most important is that we in Flanders are getting rid of Abou Jahjah, in silence and without violence.” Thank God the Antwerpers are finally doing something about this obnoxious, ungrateful Arab immigrant Jahjah. (If there were any justice in the world he would have been deported from Belgium long ago.) I wonder if Braveheart can be more explicit, and say in what way exactly the Flemings are neutralizing this pernicious character, this crass opportunist who, instead of showing gratitude toward the brave, good country that welcomed him, has chosen to disrupt it; make outrageous demands on it; harm it. 3
Posted by Braveheart on Fri, 05 Nov 2004 11:16 | # For a better understanding and out of respect for the defunct, I will give you a swift translation of Mr. Van Gogh’s last article in Metro. An article that perhaps makes much more clear than his last film “Submission” why he had to die just now. Indeed the information about the film dates from August 2004 and his article was just freshly written and read by everybody in Amsterdam. Perhaps the murderer even feared a “Flemish outcome” of the radical Muslim plot in Amsterdam! And so you will also better understand that Van Gogh was a more reasonable guy than currently is made out of him. Indeed, first the Dutch speaking press in the Netherlands and Flanders looks for an easy and harmless explanation (the film Submission), to close the incident of his murder as soon as possible. Then these newspaper commentaries are translated into English for the American and English newspapers and finally even made worse, included everything crazy Van Gogh has said the last ten years and this to prove that he was “irresponsible”. And so finally insult comes upon injury: a man who cannot defend himself any more is said to have “provoked” the murderer. By the way, the problematic in Holland and Flanders is the same. The difference is the resistance, a resistance that is in Flanders to a large extend crystallised into the Vlaams Blok conservative party, who drags along the others. Also to note: Mr. Van Gogh loved America very much. He and his son wanted to emigrate to America. His capital mistake was to defend America before he had become an American himself. May he rest in peace. The article: OUR MAYOR (of Amsterdam) In The Telegraph (de Telegraaf is a major Dutch newspaper) I read that Mr Abou Jahjah considers to leave Belgium, although he thinks to need another five years to train his successor at the AEL (Arab European League). Abou is embittered. He only got 1,400 votes at the last elections and considers the Flemish people below his dignity. Abou Jahjah: “God hasn’t been generous for Flanders when he distributed brains. It has always been a racist people.’’ I found this nicely said, such as it was also very instructive to read that his Lordship considered each dead American soldier as a victory. As the prophet’s pimp one cannot aim high enough. You would say, a religious fascist who wants to introduce Islamic law – with all what this means for disbelievers, Jews, homo’s, women and renegades - is not someone with whom you take the effort to go in debate? By the way, I remember very well how Abou let slip that the heretic Ayaan Hirsi Ali had to be locked up. It was not clear if Allah’s shoeshine boy meant that she had be locked up in a mental hospital or behind bars, but I don’t think that she would walk around much longer if the splendid glory of the sharia was introduced here (in Holland). However someone who thinks that Mr Jahjah wants the best for us, is the major of Amersterdam, who started a public dialogue with him and who got afterwards as a reward to hear: “finally a politician who understands me”. A splendid compliment about which Cohen has certainly been permanently very proud. As “fixer” with ambition you indeed should undertake everything - this is a citation - “to keep things together”. What a pity for Cohen that just now it must be once again Moroccan boys who have teased a native Dutch couple out of the city. That happens everywhere in Amsterdam, but it is only because the Volkskrant (the People’s Daily) gave now attention to it, that the question became political. The Amsterdam police force is not interested to assist native Dutch people who are threatened by a minority that always becomes more aggressive. And Cohen not at all. When Mr Abou Jahjah’s sympathisers did in three thousand Americans in the WTC, then our major’s first trip was to the mosque. In schools, in mosques, everywhere in Amsterdam this marvellous victory over Satan was celebrated. Cohen crawled thus for the believers (in Allah) and stressed the point: “ you belong to us.’’ Instead of asking: “for heavens sake, what are you doing here?” Cohen behaves himself as a major under occupation and this is not meant as a compliment. His presence demoralises the city and set-up groups against each other. According to the great thinker Frits Abrahams (NRC Handelsblad - a major Dutch daily) Cohen is “a democrat in heart and soul”. But I suspect our major to be a cunning cynic - no bad quality for someone who wants to become prime-minister - and he is a purebred opportunist too. And I even wonder how long Dutch natives will still be welcome in Amsterdam. From the Dutch Metro October 29, 2004. Theo van Gogh 4

In fact the “wrong one” was murdered, so probably this is not the end of the story yet. Why? Immediate cause was Van Gogh’s film “Submission”. This English-language film was written and ordered by Somali-born Ayaan Hirsi Ali, a Dutch lawmaker who has outraged Muslims by criticizing Islamic customs and the failure of Muslim families to adopt Dutch ways, especially concerning the submission of women. It was Ayaan Hirsi Ali herself who chose bell-wether Van Gogh to make her film and to make maximum commotion in Muslim circles. I agree Van Gogh already named Muslims “goat-screwers” and other nasty things, but this has more to do with the Dutch plastic way of expression, which has apparently been taken to literally by somebody, who doesn’t understands this. So this film “Submission” was not Van Gogh’s idea, but HERS. It is SHE who wants to avenge her circumcision. And Ayaan Hirsi Ali who understands very well what she is doing, has permanent police protection. But Van Gogh, too naïve to see the problem, saw this as unnecessary. He was a Dutchman and felt save at home in Holland. Fatal mistake.
Also ironical, Van Gogh’s last column in Metro was about Abou Jahjah and the Flemish. No friends either. The most important is that we in Flanders are getting rid of Abou Jahjah, in silence and without violence. Amsterdam’s mayor still played the “Judenrat” for Abou Jahjah, but in Flanders such things are inconceivable. Even the Belgian Thought Police won’t tame us.
Also to note: while doing his cruel job, the murderer wore his typical Muslim gown, not even taking the precaution to put on a western habit. And this western “disguise” probably would even have helped him to escape from the scene by lack of being recognised in his flight by the police!
