BELARUSIAN NATIONALISM, A WHITE NATIONALISM

True Belarusian nationalism and its history have been opaque to westerners. The process of its true nationalism becoming opaque along with its struggle for revival may be instructive - and particularly if successful, useful for purposes of WN cooperation.

Still, “Western values” may creep-in through lack of bounds South and East as well..

Stanislav Shushkevich was the first post-Soviet President of Belarus and one of the three prime signatories of the Belavezha Accords, which dissolved the Soviet Union.

While I am unfamiliar with details of his views, I have come to appreciate the struggle for Belarusian nationalism by looking at his career. From discussions with Belarusian nationalists, I have derived what I believe to be the characteristic view of a “true” Belarusian nationalist (again, that is not necessarily synonymous with Shushkevich as I do not know enough about his particular views to say one way or the other).

As in the case of previous posts, I will set-out this discussion as hypotheses for the purpose of expedience and correction through discussion.

Regarding what I have come to understand of true Belarusian nationalism through my contacts and experience there:

Its opacity as an issue is in great part due to its historical conflict with Russia, whereof Russia has largely prevailed in a “Russification” of Belarus.

That Russification begins with the very name, “White Russia”, being imposed over the Belarusians original “Lithuanian” identity.

Their original name was taken, along with their capital, Wilno, and granted (by Stalin) to tribes to the north.

Their original language, now called Old Belarusian, was the official language of the Polish-Luthuanian empire; it was also the language of international diplomacy of a fledgling Moscow at that time.

Present day Belaurusian is spoken mostly in the villages of Belarus by older people, while Russian language is spoken in the cities and by the young in a process of continued Russification.

After the Soviet Union was dissolved by Stanislav Shushkevich (Belarus), Boris Yeltsin (Russia) and Leonid Kravchuk (Ukraine) with The Belavezha Accords , Shushkevich, an indigenous Belarusian patriot, implemented Belarusian as the official language of Belarus along with other measures to revive native Belarusian culture against Russification. However, with Lukashenko’s takeover, that process has been reversed, with Russification, including Russian language, being imposed on the better than 80 percent Belarusian majority.

From Soviet violence and destruction, no White nationalists suffered more casualties in proportional number and of their elite than did Belarusians.

Jewish influence, menace and cataclysmic violence is fixed in the understanding of true Belarusian nationalists. In fact, for them, “Soviet” and “Bolshevik” may be used practically synonymously with the word, “Jewish.”

That is, Jewish elites are recognized as adversaries second to none in importance but, unfortunately for the sake of White Nationalist cooperation, they are an enemy for Belarusian nationalism which is rivaled in importance by deep historical antagonism with Russia.

The two states had been warring with each other for centuries, with Belarusians suffering their worst destruction from the Russians during the Great Northern War (known as the Swedish deluge in Poland). When Sweden fought Russia, the battle took place mostly in Belarus where the Russians plundered and killed in their course, reducing the Belarusian people by as much as two thirds.

An important animating factor of Russian destruction of Belarus has been the Russian Orthodox Church. That is among the reasons why I am dismissive of those who claim that it is the “one good denomination of Christianity for White nationalists.” Because it has been so central to inter-European destruction.

In fact, “The Greek Orthodox Church” was invoked in response to “The Russian Orthodox Church” in order for other nationalities to be able to look after their distinct flock’s concerns and territories.

Despite that, conflict between Russia and Belarus continued, as told in this account:

“Upon a visit to Polotsk, Belarus, Peter the Great got intoxicated one evening with his escort and they went to a Greek Orthodox church, which was perceived as a national Belarusian church, and hence hostile to the Moscowian orthodox church. In the church Peter asked the head Bishop different questions. When he noticed a picture of a Belarusian holy martryr, Jazafat Kuncevic, who was worshipped by Belarusians, he asked - who’s that guy? The Bishop said: it’s our saint killed by the Russians. Peter, enraged by his audacity, took a sword and killed the Bishop by his own hands. His escort followed this example and killed the remaining priests. It was the first time when Belarusians came to perceive such extreme barbarity of the Russians, though they had been at ceaseless war with them for centuries by then.”

It seems possible that orthodoxy may have a part in many inter-European conflicts – Serbia / Croatia being another example.

Indeed, my own suspicions of the value of the orthodox church as “the one good version of Christianity for White nationalists” was roused by the disparity between the reality of Belarus, Belarusians, Poles and Ukrainians (Russians for that matter) that I had experienced as opposed to the perspective and evaluations upon them coming from the “The Othodox Nationalist” of VoR notariety. He would typically remark that “western Europe was lost.”

To cut to the chase, it became apparent that the perspective of Orthodox Christianity seems “good” to those looking to vilify certain countries, such as those between Russia and Germany, so as, for example, to blame Polish nationalism and to completely bury Belarusian nationalism, co-opting them into German and Russian nationalism respectively.

The Orthodox Nationalist was didactic for me then. Despite his erudition, he really did not understand the dynamics behind Lukashenko, nor the profound distinction of Belrusian (Lithuanian) historical interests from that of Russia. More, for a priest, he had an unbecomingly rank prejudice against Poles; along with a dismissivness of any western nations which fell outside of the Othodox Church’s auspices.

In personal communique with me, he told me that “he did not care what happened to the Poles who lived in Belarus.”

That is to say, Poles may not think Lukashenko is a great man. Some Poles may favor Belarusian language and sovereignty from Russia. They might not be Orthodox Christians. How terrible - they can die!

To me this was wholly uncalled for and disgraceful in comparison to my understanding and experience of ethnic relations there. By that time, I had been to Grodno several times to visit a girlfriend who was part of the Russian minority. Thus, it was not as if I was being subject to an exclusive perspective of Belarusians or the Polish minority. I remember my first walk with Ksenia, when we encountered two old goat farmers, one Belarusian, one Polish, who described themselves as old friends – I was touched by the gentle relation, and the fact that they nevertheless peacably recognized each other as being of somewhat different origin. Then again, there was never anything in my experience of Belarus, Belarusians, the Poles there, the Russians there, to recommend the kind of mean spirited dismissal of the Orthodox Nationalist.

I recall a protracted and reverent moment of silence on his part in a podcast when he recounted Poland having been wiped off the map by the Kamhielnitzky uprising - against the misdeeds of Polish feudalists (in 1650!).

That is, one got the impression that this guy is pandering to the Nazi world view.

We can see a connection in the creation of a perspective such as Matt Parrott’s, who does not believe we should leave Hitler behind; and along with that, that his new found Orthodox Christianity might be conducive to White nationalism and its cooperation (again, it is not that I would not wish to discuss keen insights Hitler and co. may have had on matters that others have been considering as well; it is just that the serious flaws in his view together with the tendency of his fans to accept those bad aspects along with the good of his views does contribute to a discretion which would call for a general dismissal of him as a worthy icon; therefore, inasmuch as it may be worthwhile to discuss what he may have had right, it is important – very – to underscore what he had wrong).

Coming back to Orthodox Christianity, that the orthodox nationalist would posit its sort of low prejudices was confirmed further in my communique with him, when I had proceeded to talk with him not at all in an antagonistic manner, but as a friend, and he mocked me, mistaking me for a Pole who somehow had an interest in ongoing grievance with Ukraine. In fact, my view is that if Galicia (east of the Bug river) and L’viv being given to Ukraine was what it took to achieve peace with Ukraine then so be it. At least the Orthodox Nationalist could agree with me on that much. It is not my purpose to condemn his person, but to call attention to the prejudicial frames of the church, which do not serve White Nationalist cooperation.

Now then, the matter is a bit complicated. With any sort of liberalization, pejorative western influences could make their way into Belarus. Moreover, it is true that Jewish/corporate interests have tried to co-opt the Belarusian independence from Russia movement – just as in the cases of the orange (Ukraine) and rose revolutions of Soros’s open society, a Belarusian version was attempted as well, but less successfully; that is, it is not true that that Belarusian nationalists are not aware of that and do not seek to distinguish themselves from Jewish and internationalist interests.

A Belarusian nationalist compatriot called my attention to the fact that The Orthodox Nationalist was operating under neo-Soviet rules when The Orthodox Nationalist suspected that the true Belarusian patriots, of whom I spoke, were living outside of Belarus. That is, in disingenuous Soviet mentality, if you are in exile, you should have no say in the goings-on of the state as you are “disloyal.”

Whatever the case, it appears the likely means of human ecology and accountability - notably in service of native European survival - is to uphold state sovereignty along with relative regional and community sovereignties within the broader context of European sovereignty from non-European interests.

Non-White immigrants make their way into Belarus by way of Russia as well, and Belarus is more than deserving to prevent that as a member of the community of national sovereigns.

Have not the geopolitics of central Europe always been the greater cause of the unending traumas of its small nations (greater, that is, than Christian rivalries)? They seem to have so little power over their own destiny. How can the interests of these peoples assert themselves?

I suppose historical trauma does at least serve the purpose of keeping identity bright and clear. The experience of the English, secure and complacent in their majority in the Union, is that identity falls asleep rather easily. The Welsh and Scots, sensing themselves disadvantaged, have at least been able to maintain some sense of collective self. I am not saying that disadvantage (and worse) is a good deal in that respect - the Scots and Welsh don’t seem to be inoculated against pee-cee and multiculturalisation. But some outside pressure probably generates more intensity than would otherwise obtain.

Recall my point re White Zion: in the future, only those white genomes whose present bearers affirmatively want to remain white will do so. The trends are inevitable. Race-mixing cannot be prevented; physically yes, if the will were there, but it isn’t. Over time, mixture will only increase. If Belarus hasn’t succumbed yet to the multicult, that’s only a sign of its relative ‘backwardness’. But it will catch up ...

Therefore, the real WP issue is to gather all WPs into a sovereign, defensible territory, so that at least purebred whites will endure somewhere.

Moreover, the strategic value of having only one, generically defined (void of time in memorial ethic distinctions) White purist state, is dubious, at best.

I am not attempting to assert that Orthodox Christianity has more influence on antagonism, than say, the temptation of larger populated states to take advantage of their neighbors.

Lesser factor or not, however, I did mean to observe that a pattern emerges wherein Orthodox Christianity does not seem to help inter-European relations - on the contrary.

It’s likely that some traditional white countries will stay majority white, if only because the West’s financial elites need some stable havens (like Switzerland) in case their cosmopolitan experiment goes badly wrong (from a financial perspective, they don’t give a toss about the cultural, racial perspective per se).

The experience of South America also suggests that the offspring of white race mixers, will often re-whiten themselves over time. In the same way that liberal parents can have right-wing offspring, the offspring of mixed-racial couples often want to re-whiten themselves by picking white partners and identifying as white.
This already seems to be occurring with the female offspring of white/Asian couples. However, this process will take a lot longer with mulattos, particularly since the white women who marry blacks (such as the Slavic slapper pictured above) tend to be low IQ or very liberal.

Hence if some white countries can stay majority white, they may still have a sympathetic diaspora (for funding and population top up if needed) especially since liberal politics is likely to decline as western influence declines, and eastern influence increases.

Or an even more disturbing prospect: maybe they do grasp it but couldn’t care less. Sadly, I’m coming to the conclusion the latter is the case. At least that’s what most whites’ apparent dismissal, or seeming non-interest, in the ongoing white dispossession/genocide that’s obviously taking place suggests.

Education and early career

Posobiec was born and raised in Norristown, Pennsylvania.[7] He went to college at Temple University, where he double-majored in political science and broadcast journalism and graduated in 2008.[5] Afterwards he worked for the United States Chamber of Commerce in China. In 2008, Posobiec played a minor role in the film The Forbidden Kingdom.[7] Posobiec has served several tours in the Naval Reserves since 2010, including a yearlong deployment at Guantanamo Bay.[7]

From 2012 to 2016 Posobiec ran a blog and podcast about Game of Thrones called AngryGoTFan.[7]
Notable activities

Posobiec was an organizer of the DeploraBall, an event held on January 19, 2017 to celebrate Trump’s inauguration.[8]

Posobiec falsely said that at a United States Senate hearing on May 17, 2017 former FBI director James Comey “said under oath that Trump did not ask him to halt any investigation.” The claim was later repeated by the conservative media, including in prominent outlets such as InfoWars and Rush Limbaugh.[2]

Posobiec promoted the discredited conspiracy theory that Seth Rich had leaked e-mails from the Democratic National Committee to Wikileaks.[3]

Posobiec live-streamed an investigation of the Pizzagate conspiracy theory, in which high-ranking officials were alleged to have been involved in a child-sex ring centered at a Washington, D.C. pizzeria. Posobiec was asked to leave after attempting to broadcast a child’s birthday party being held in a back room of the restaurant.[9]

Posobiec promoted e-mails and files leaked to 4chan of Emmanuel Macron shortly before the French presidential election in 2017.[3]

Posobiec led a campaign in November 2016 to discredit anti-Trump protesters by planting a sign at a protest reading “Rape Melania”.[10]

Posobiec promoted a hoax that CNN had published and then deleted an article defending Bill Maher’s use of a racial slur.[11]

On June 4, 2017, Posobiec tweeted, “There’s never been a terrorist attack at a Nascar race. Nascar fans are all armed. Draw your own conclusions.” His comment was widely ridiculed on social media.[12]

On June 14, 2017, shortly after Republican Representative Steve Scalise was shot during a baseball practice, Posobiec falsely tweeted that Loretta Lynch had previously called for “blood in the streets”[6] and that Bernie Sanders had ordered his followers to “take down” Trump.[13]

On June 16, 2017, Posobiec disrupted a Shakespeare in the Park production of Julius Caesar that depicted the title character as a President Trump-like figure. Posobiec was prompted by Mike Cernovich, another alt-right conspiracy theorist, who had offered a $1,000 prize for anyone who interrupted the play.[14] Posobiec was escorted from the event along with fellow protester Laura Loomer, who was arrested for disorderly conduct after refusing to leave the stage.[6]

In December 2016, Posobiec claimed without evidence that Disney had re-written scenes in the Star Wars movie Rogue One to add “Anti Trump scenes calling him a racist,” and called for a boycott of Star Wars franchise. Disney denied the allegations.[15]

Posobiec organized a “Rally Against Political Violence” in Washington, D.C. on June 25, 2017 that drew a sparse crowd. Richard Spencer, another alt-right figure, ridiculed the event and called it “pathetic”.[1]

Dostoievsky On the Jews

Feodor M. Dostoievsky (1821-1881) was one of Russia’s greatest writers. The son of a physician of modest means, he had the opportunity for an education, and was trained as an engineer. He remained close to the common people of Russia, however, in the experiences of his life and in his writing.

Dostoievsky was a fervent patriot, but his association with a circle of radical writers led to his arrest at the age of 27. He was subsequently sentenced to death, reprieved at the last minute, and transported to Siberia, where he spent four years in a prison labor camp. This was followed by several years as a private in a Siberian unit in the Russian army.

After his return from Siberia Dostoievsky wrote a number of novels, including Crime and Punishment (1866), The Idiot (1868), The Possessed (1871), and The Brothers Karamazov (1880), all of which enjoyed immense popularity. It was his Diary of a Writer, however, published in a number of installments in the period 1873-1881 which most explicitly stated his feeling for his people and for Russia.

Dostoievsky’s Diary dealt with a great many issues of burning interest to his fellow countrymen, showing clearly the insight and sensitivity which made him one of the most beloved of all the great writers Russia has produced. Boris Brasol, who translated Diary of a Writer into English, has described the reaction of the Russian people to Dostoievsky’s death on February 9th, 1881:

The news of Dostoievsky’s passing spread instantly, like an electric current, to the remotest parts of Russia, and a wave of mourning swept through the hearts of her saddened people… Enormous crowds attended his funeral: men and women from all walks of life—statesmen of high rank and downtrodden prostitutes; illiterate peasants and distinguished men of letters; army officers and learned scientists; credulous priests and incredulous students—they were all there.

Whom did Russia bury with so great a reverence? Was it only one of her famous men of letters? Indeed not: in that coffin lay a noble and lofty man, a prudent teacher, an inspired prophet whose thoughts, like mountain peaks, were always pointed toward heaven, and who had measured the depths of man’s quivering heart with all its struggles, sins, and tempests; its riddles, pains, and sorrows; its unseen tears and burning passions….

As much as his people loved him, Dostoievsky in turn loved them—and despised their enemies and exploiters. Foremost among the latter were the Jews of Russia. In Dostoievsky’s time there were some three million of them, some descended from the Khazars, an Asiatic tribe of southern Russia which had converted to Judaism a millennium earlier, and some who had flocked into Russia from the West during the Middle Ages, when they were forcibly expelled from every country in western and central Europe.

Scorning honest labor, the Jews had fastened themselves on the Russian peasants and craftsmen like an army of leeches. Money-lending, the liquor trade, and White slavery were their preferred means of support—and their means of destroying the Russian people.

So great was the Russians’ hate for their Jewish tormenters that the Russian rulers were obliged to institute special legislation, both protecting the Jews and limiting their depredations against the Russian people. Among the latter was a ban against Jewish settlement in central Russia; they were restricted to the regions of western and southwestern Russia (the “Pale of Settlement”) where they had been most heavily concentrated at the time Catherine the Great had proclaimed the ban, in the 18th century.

This, of course, was regarded by the Jews as “persecution,” and it was their incessant wailing about not being allowed to fasten themselves on the people of central Russia which first moved Dostoievsky to set his pen to paper on the Jewish question. In the section of his Diary published in March 1877, the writer remarked:

... I know that in the whole world there is certainly no other people who would be complaining as much about their lot, incessantly, after each step and word of theirs—about their humiliation, their suffering, their martyrdom. One might think it is not they who are reigning in Europe, who are directing there at least the stock exchanges and, therefore, politics, domestic affairs, the morality of the states.

Dostoievsky, who had become all too familiar with Jews and their personal attitudes toward their Russian hosts, first as a boy on his parent’s small estate, where he observed the Jew’s dealings with the local peasants, and later in prison, where he noted the aloof behavior of the Jewish prisoners toward Russian prisoners, went on to speculate about what would happen to the Russians if the Jews ever got the whiphand:

... Now, how would it be if in Russia there were not three million Jews, but three million Russians, and there were eighty million Jews—well, into what would they convert the Russians and how would they treat them? Would they permit them to acquire equal rights? Would they permit them to worship freely in their midst? Wouldn’t they convert them into slaves? Worse than that: wouldn’t they skin them altogether? Wouldn’t they slaughter them to the last man, to the point of complete extermination, as they used to do with aliens in ancient times, during their ancient history?

This speculation turned out to be grimly prophetic, for only a little more than four decades later bloodthirsty Jewish commissars, who made up the bulk of the Bolshevik leaders, were supervising the butchering of Russians by the millions.

Dostoievsky correctly identified the secret of the Jews’ strength—indeed, of their very survival over a period of 40 centuries—as their exclusiveness, their deeply ingrained mental outlook upon the whole non-Jewish world as an alien, inferior, and hostile thing. This outlook led the Jews to always think of themselves as having a special situation or standing. Even when they were trying most ingratiatingly to convince the non-Jews that Jews were just like everyone else, they maintained the inner attitude of a people who constituted a special community within the larger, Gentile community. Dostoievsky pointed out:

... It is possible to outline, at least, certain symptoms of that status in statu—be it only externally. These symptoms are: alienation and estrangement in the matter of religious dogma; the impossibility of fusion; belief that in the world there exists but one national entity, the Jew, while, even though other entities exist, nevertheless, it should be presumed that they are, as it were, nonexistent. ‘Step out of the family of nations and form your own entity, and thou shalt know that henceforth thou art the only one before God; exterminate the rest, or make slaves of them. Have faith in the conquest of the whole world; adhere to the belief that everything will submit to thee. Loathe strictly everything, and do not have intercourse with anyone in thy mode of living. And even when thou shalt lose the land, thy political individuality, even when thou shalt be dispersed all over the face of the earth, amidst all nations—never mind, have faith in everything that has been promised thee, once and forever; believe that all this will come to pass, and meanwhile live, loathe, unite, and exploit—and wait, wait ....

Is it any wonder that, although virtually every American with a high school education has either read Dostoievsky’s Crime and Punishment or his The Brothers Karamazov (or both), his Diary of a Writer has been quietly consigned to oblivion by the controlled educational and publishing establishments in this country? The only printing of Diary of a Writer currently listed in Books in Print is one issued by a small, specialty publisher (Octagon Books) for sale to libraries and priced at a prohibitive $47.50. That price tag ought to keep it safely out of the hands of curious American readers!

Those fortunate enough to be able to borrow a copy of the book can read a great many more of Dostoievsky’s penetrating comments on the behavior of and attitude of the Jews in Russia toward the Russian people during the 19th century. Dostoievsky especially condemned the exploitation of the poor, ignorant, and helpless Russian peasants by the voraciously greedy and utterly heartless Jews. For example:

Thus, Jewry is thriving precisely there where the people are still ignorant, or not free, or economically backward. It is there that Jewry has a champ libre. And instead of raising, by its influence, the level of education, instead of increasing knowledge, generating economic fitness in the native population—instead of this the Jew, wherever he has settled, has still more humiliated and debauched the people; there humaneness was still more debased and the educational level fell still lower; there inescapable, inhuman misery, and with it despair, spread still more disgustingly. Ask the native population in our border regions: What is propelling the Jew—and has been propelling him for centuries? You will receive a unanimous answer: mercilessness. ‘He has been prompted so many centuries only by pitilessness to us, only by the thirst for our sweat and blood.’

And, in truth, the whole activity of the Jews in these border regions of ours consisted of rendering the native population as much as possible inescapably dependent on them, taking advantage of the local laws. They have always managed to be on friendly terms with those upon whom the people were dependent. Point to any other tribe from among Russian aliens which could rival the Jew by his dreadful influence in this connection! You will find no such tribe. In this respect the Jew preserves all his originality as compared with other Russian aliens, and of course, the reason therefore is that status of statu of his, that spirit of which specifically breathes pitilessness for everything that is not Jew, with disrespect for any people and tribe, for every human creature who is not a Jew….

Now, what if somehow, for some reason, our rural commune [i.e., the institutionalized system of Russian peasant society] should disintegrate, that commune which is protecting our poor native peasant against so many ills; what if, straightaway, the Jew and his whole kehillah [i.e., organized Jewry] should fall upon that liberated peasant—so inexperienced, so incapable of resisting temptation, and who up to this time has been guarded precisely by the commune? Why, of course, instantly this would be his end; his entire property, his whole strength, the very next day would come under the power of the Jew, and there would ensue such an era as can be compared not only with the era of serfdom but even with that of the Tartar yoke.

Ms Huo Yuzhen highlighted the obvious importance of the joint implementation by Belarus and China of the Belt and Road concept in many areas, including in economy, energy, investment, and transport. By the way, trains for Europe start from the city of Changchun, one of the important hubs of the Silk Road economic belt. “Organization of uninterrupted transportation is a key factor for trade and economic cooperation among the Belt and Road participating countries. Here Belarus plays an extremely important role,” she said.

The Special Representative for China-CEE Cooperation Affairs of China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs coordinates the 16+1 cooperation, in which Belarus is an observer.

The 5th Global Economic Leaders Summit has gathered over 300 representatives from 40 countries.
