Remember the 5th of November! The following website: is promoting a massive, synchronized attack on the power structure in Washington, D.C. by having as many people as possible donate $100 to the Ron Paul for President campaign on November 5 of this year. They’re setting a goal of 100,000 people to synchronize their donations to November 5. There are a number of unrealistic objectives being put forth by some probably well-meaning supporters. However, this particular objective—synchronized action on a given date—has importance beyond the Ron Paul campaign, as illustrated in the movie “V” for Vendetta. Of course, in that movie all the people showed up in an unarmed confrontation with the military and were not flattened by the army simply due to an improbable breakdown in the chain of command, but such is the luxury of being a Hollywood screenwriter. In reality, synchronized action doesn’t need to expose those taking action to significant risk—its that powerful given a highly specialized civilization where capital costs of infrastructure scale with their peak loads.

Posted by commenter on Sat, 20 Oct 2007 17:06 | # James, I managed to buttonhole a veteran Ron Paul staffer. Relevant parts of the conversation include: I mentioned that guys like Rick Fisk on Lew Rockwell seem to think Ron Paul would increase legal immigration. His response was Ron Paul is running on his record. He also was a little skeptical of articles on Lew. (I don’t know if he was trying to appease me here. Looking back, I assume so) I told him about Ron Paul running on an open borders platform in the ‘88 libertarian race. (I don’t know if this is actually true, but I think that it is) He responded that Ron Paul is running on his record I told him that American citizenship has a value of a few hundred thousand dollars. He seems a little surprised that by the suggestion, but said ok (probably for purposes of moving the conversation forward) I asked if they would charge legal immigrants the full value of American citizenship. He responded, “maybe a few thousand dollars” and suggested that legal immigrants pay that in other ways. I then asked that given a chance that Ron Paul vote against legislation that increases legal immigration or visas. He wouldn’t commit Ron Paul to voting one particular way or another, but said he would keep it in mind. Overall, I felt that the staffer was trying to tell me things I wanted to hear and to avoid points of disagreement. My social skills are in the bottom 2%, so I think the staffer was able to read me and fade my concerns. He didn’t get to be a professional staffer for nothing. The conversation indicated that the office staff lacks an appreciation of the economic value of US citizenship and that the staff is not dead set against legal immigration. It was useful, however, because I told the staffer I did not want Ron Paul voting for more immigration. 3

He seems a little surprised that by the suggestion, but said ok (probably for purposes of moving the conversation forward) He really shouldn’t have been that surprised given the fact that Ron Paul’s position on immigration is that the US should stop subsidizing it. He apparently thinks the subsidy isn’t as high as it really is. This is why confronting these guys market pricing of visas is important. They tout the free market but they refuse to treat citizenship as the property right it really is. 5

Posted by VLC on Sun, 21 Oct 2007 16:34 | # at least Ron Paul has been clear on the illegal aliens problem: no subsidies, no birthright citizenship, no amnesty, the construction of that fence. On that platform alone he would beat Hillary in a fair election 7

Romney, why would anyone vote for a high tax, socially liberal RINO?
Guilliani, well, I can understand why he appeals to many, but when he is challenged, he is full of holes!
The other candidates are non candidates, and Hilary Clinton is the only credible candidate from the left.
So you have the choice of Guilliani, Clinton or Ron Paul, the only real right winger. I pray that Ron Paul makes it, I hope he is elected.
I have no doubt he could not do as much as he would wish or promise, but at least he would start what needs to be started and go in the right direction. It could be the begining of the fightback throughout the West, as people who are not net savy would see Paul talk on the news and other programmes, they would read about him in the papers and think, ‘hey, why cant we have someone like that?’.
He could be the spark we need to set off this restoration of the West.
