The bland-man goes a-blogging

Posted by Guessedworker on Saturday, 30 September 2006 09:41.

David Cameron, the kinder, more caring, more middle-of-the-road and yet, crucially, more chic Blair, a Blair for all seasons and all men, and everything you can possibly think of if you are not actually a Tory ... yes, that David Cameron, the unknowable one, has just gone even higher in the red-hot political-hip stakes.  That’s hipper than he was on his green, green bicyle.  Or when he signed up St Bob.  Superhip Dave has started two exciting video blogs.  If you can call watching him do the washing-up exciting.

But it is cool, isn’t it?  And, you know, warm at the same time.

So it is that the lead blog is an all about cool political me page.  Then there’s an other dudes I think are cool page for guesties.

John McCain is first up as a guestie - a shrewd move Washington-wise, as one expects from the manipulative, mysterious and vaguely unEnglish Steve Hilton.

Now, never let it be said that Big Dave and Little Steve aren’t willing to go where the bullets are flying.  Oh gosh, no.  They take comments - though you will have to register, and there’s a strong probability that certain questions will be adjudged much, much too uncool to get published.

Geldof said, “I’m not a Labour Party member, I’m not a Tory Party member. In fact I’m a citizen of a foreign country, the Republic of Ireland, and I cant believe how stupid you Brits are in allowing resident aliens like me to vote”.

Actually, Son of Gold is doubly an alien.  Probably means he gets two votes.  Or twice as many rights or something.

The “unknowable” link above - the lead story in today’s Telegraph - is interesting because it suggests that Cameron can be “got at” for being lightweight in ways that Blair and even Kinnock could not.  It’s as if all the attacks on Blair for his superficiality are finding their mark on Cameron.

And there’s not much he can do about it.  He can’t hurry forward policies to make himself look more substantial.  He’s stuck with PR and only PR.

If this is so what he really portends is not the battle for Downing Street, it’s the battle for the Tory’s soul.  Cameron could quite easily end up not winning the first battle but the second, in terms of transforming his Party.  In that case he will be Kinnock MkII and not Blair.

“and there’s a strong probability that certain questions will be adjudged much, much too uncool to get published.”

Yeah, speaking of “too uncool to be published,” try posting ANY thoughtful commentary over at American Renaissance.  A few days ago, I tried posting a very simple two paragraph, relatively nuanced message on Amren about the idiocy of US H1-B visa regulations—the ones which allow dirt-cheap-labor Indians to flood into the US and essentially destroy the US tech industry and any prospect of employment for over-indebted Whites with US engineering college degrees.

Of course the On-High-Overlords over at the AR Censorship Committee—er, the moderators—for inexplicable reasons decided not to post it.  The second straight damn time that happened, a total waste of my time despite writing a very thoughtful, concise and relevant post.

I can understand why they wouldn’t post profanity, yelling in all caps or just off-the-wall stupidity that contributes nothing to the discussion, but AmRen seems to censor even sensible, thoughtful and concise posts that are right on target for the discussion.  It seems that AmRen, despite all its claims to the contrary, does have a party line of its own (though good luck to anybody in figuring it out), and it actively censors posts with alacrity.  Even more infuriating is when you’re having a productive discussion with another poster, try to post a response to one of their posts—and then your damn response gets censored!

They’re pissing a lot of people off in the process at AmRen.  That site’s pathetic—for a site that claims to be reflecting White grass-roots sentiment on issues fundamental for our people, they seem to be far too enamored of Socialist censorship policies.  They don’t deserve one ounce of respect.

Mick,

I’m not seeking to score points of Jared Taylor.  But if your “nuance” was such that it might fit MR you can always work up that comment into a full post and mail it to me via the Contact button. I’ll look at it with an eye to using it.

Possibly Mr Jared Taylor has decreed that clever babus are to be honorary whites for AR’s purposes, like the you-know-whos. Can a merger with gnxp.com be far off? Goodness gracious me!

Couldn’t resist—I’m another WN who’s had the joyful privilege of being censored by Mr. Jared Taylor and his minions.  I’m an ex-Aussie, and my “thought crime” was apparently to criticize the lunacies of Australian immigration policy, which are rapidly pushing Whites in Australia to become a minority almost as fast as the idiotic policies of the USA.

A number of my good friends had gotten so fed up that they’d left Oz, which I’d mentioned in the context of a thread discussing the Western countries with the toughest policies restricting Third World immigration, often enacted in recent years.  (Short answer: Best countries are Austria, Denmark and Germany—where I’ve myself moved.  Strangely, even France has gotten the immigration restriction thing going lately, i.e. the Frogs seem to have far more good sense than the fools leading the US and Australia.)

So I make a succinct posting to AR, no more than a few sentences (no spam or profanity) on this fact.  But this apparently isn’t what Sir Taylor wanted to hear.  You see, Jared Taylor and his fellow idiots only want to hear that things are doing fine in Oz-land and we can all just go relaxing in La-La-land.  Rather than honestly hearing the unpleasant but unnecessary truth, the American Renaissance moderators just delete what they don’t want to hear.

So ironic that a site claiming to represent the views of White Nationalists would involve in such naked and blatant Soviet-style censorship of important ideas.  Maybe Taylor is in fact a Soviet-nostalgic Marxist at heart.  I can think of any other reason for the BS censorship stupidity on his site.

Cameron’s blog has, it seems, been spoofed already.  Click here

Aaah, what a shame.
