Freetown Massacre of the RUF

Warfare as waged by Sub-Saharan Africans is significantly more chaotic and excessively brutal than that which was known historically in Europe. In order to get a taste for what African warfare entails, I catalogued some passages from a 1999 Human Rights Watch report on the RUF’s massacre in Sierra Leone.

Some of the readership will wonder what connection this has to political theory or our situation in the West.  Well, there are several, but let me suggest just one. We have to cultivate a more coarse, and less squeemish sensibility for all things. We have to be able to look every truth in the face, regardless of whether it’s aesthetically pleasing. This is a lesson in itself, to halt the recoil of aesthetic reflexes and digest the ugliness of the world without flinching and without conceptual cushioning. Don’t draw back into your Victorian or Edwardian citadel - these people now live amongst us. Let us, instead, look at them in an unflattering but not uncharacteristic moment, as they slay each other in their natural habitat.

This is a discussion section for the race FAQ at the wiki, which presently doesn't discuss all the things that it should, but it will be periodically updated. Not in our Genes?

In 1984, Lewontin, Rose and Kamin wrote Not In Our Genes: Biology, Ideology, and Human Nature. I decided to read the book to see how the arguments fared after 23 years of additional research, argument and debate. As it turned out, even for 1984, the arguments against at that time primarily sociobiology were very weak by the authors own admission. That is they don’t argue against genetic influences and racial differences so much as against science itself.

They start out: “Each of us has been engaged for much of this time in research, writing, speaking, teaching, and public political activity in opposition to the oppressive forms in which determinist ideology manifests itself. We share a commitment to the prospect of the creation of a more socially just—a socialist—society. And we recognize that a critical science is an integral part of the struggle to create that society, just as we also believe that the social function of much of today’s science is to hinder the creation of that society by acting to preserve the interests of the dominant class, gender, and race. This belief—in the possibility of a critical and liberatory science—is why we have each in our separate ways and to varying degrees been involved in the development of what has become known over the 1970s and 1980s, in the United States and Britain, as the radical science movement.”

The Mendacity of the Realist

Realist at Inverted World now has a piece about David Duke.  I was disappointed to see this, because per Realist’s comments in his first column I was led to believe he’d be outlining his censorship policies and hoping to get to poke fun at them.  I’ll have to settle for a less interesting subject to poke fun at.

On a personal level I like Realist, he seems a good sort.  That said, he seems to be out to lunch when it comes to logically supporting a position.  The piece is basically a string of fallacies designed to discredit David Duke, and by extension, White Nationalism.

First he reminds the reader of why he created IV - because Amren wasn’t quite philo-Semitic enough for his tastes.  Sure, Amren heavily censors the topic in moderating comments, but the occasional tepid criticism of non-Arab Semites was allowed through to sully the constant philo-Semitism and finally it became too much to bear.  To make matters worse, Jared Taylor didn’t excommunicate Duke for his heresy at the last Amren conference.

Then Realist states his thesis:

Here I will spell out clearly why I think the racial right in America is fundamentally insane.

Clinton-Obama Ticket Stirs Fear in GOP

The possibility that a potential Democratic presidential primary matchup between Sens. Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama could lead to a Clinton-Obama ticket is raising concerns in GOP circles that it might be unbeatable.

Hahahahaha!

They’ve got to be kidding.  Is it just me?  Or, is it obvious that Obama as VP would guarantee a Republican victory?

Couple of thoughts:

1) as a Stormfronter pointed out, Obama may be getting all the hype precisely because he’ll make an excellent punching bag for Hillary down the road.
2) Obama is nobody.  His only qualification is that he’s a sambo (or maybe a mulatto).
3) The Republicans probably know all this and this is their B’rer Rabbit routine.
4) The Democrats probably know all this and maybe this is some tactic that isn’t obvious to me.

The Inverted World

A post at Stormfront by Realist from Inverted World has piqued my interest:

I am the Realist, who set up this website. Unlike American Renaissance, I would publish an article critical of Jewish influence on white societies provided it was intellectually defensible. “Intellectually defensible” means that the article would not contain unfounded slanders against Jews. Furthermore, any article that I published would have to concede that much of the commentary about Jews in the white nationalist community, including the whole of Holocaust denial, is sick and evil.

Lawrence Auster’s article ”Why Jews Welcome Muslims” is an example of the sort of thing I would be glad to publish. Another is this entry on Auster’s blog View from the Right.

Auster has spelled out the differences between responsible and irresponsible criticism of Jews here.

Putting aside the not-so-rigorous question of why Auster (an ethnic non-Arabic Semite) has produced all Realist’s examples of acceptable criticism of non-Arabic Semites, I wondered why all such criticism must contain the disclaimer about sick and evil WNism, and invited Realist to stop by MR and comment.  I’m genuinely interested in hearing what he has to say.

He cites Auster as having spelled out the differences between responsible and irresponsible criticism of Jews, so let’s take a look at Auster’s piece (again).

Old anti-racists just bloody fade away

Steve Jones, the professional professorial race-denier and friend to snails in and out of the Labour Party, has been guiding the insufficiently universalist Telegraph reader away from harmful thoughts.

Stevie-baby is an interesting case.  All through his career he has exemplified the triumph of leftist politics over scientific integrity.  But as the haplotype blocks relinquish their secrets it is becoming much harder for him to operate.  These days he mostly confines himself to soft targets.

He first came to my attention in the late 1990s when BBC Radio 4’s “Today”, always keen for a bit of white-race baiting, regularly turned to him for expert wiseacreage.  He was just required to mouth a few pieties, condemn racism and genetic determinism and kill off all complaint with a few forbidding words like “chromosome” and “mytochondrial”.  The listening audience, presumably floored, was left to embrace the nearest wonderful human being in any skin colour but white.

It’s strange how memory dances around the detail, but I remember one “Today” interview from the late 1990s involving Jones the Gene and an expert, unusually, from the other side of the argument.  The subject was the then-imminent effort to crack the human genome.  I heard the broadcast while on the return leg of the morning school run.  I can remember being caught in traffic in Seaford at the time - not an intellectually stimulating environment.  But I was certainly stimulated when Our Steve’s opponent, whose name I do not recall, caught him cold with a straight right, “The race debate is over,” he said, “Our side is proved to have been right all along.”

Another state, Michigan, has banned affirmative action.

Jennifer Gratz sued the University of Michigan in 1997 for discrimination because she could not attend the university, because preferences were given to minorities. In 2003 the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in the case that satisfied no one. The university could take race into consideration for the purpose of diversity but could not use rigid formulas to do so.

Since then, Gratz has been active lecturing on the unfairness of affirmative action, and now the public voted for Proposal 2 on November 7. It will amend the State Constitution to “outlaw consideration of race and gender in deciding which applicants get into college, who receives government jobs and what businesses secure state and local contracts.”

Now passed, Michigan will join California and Washington where similar measures passed. Ward Connerly, who helped pass the California initiative, plans to take the initiative to other states now that Michigan has joined. Not surprisingly, “Virtually every religious, political, business and civic organization in Michigan opposes the measure,” as well as both gubernatorial candidates. November 7, 2006—In a stunning turnaround, a construction worker yesterday confessed to killing indie actress Adrienne Shelly, whose death in a Greenwich Village apartment last week was first thought to be suicide, cops said.

“I was having a bad day,” illegal immigrant Diego Pillco, 19, allegedly told cops. “I didn’t mean to kill her. But I did kill her.”

Fortunately she wasn’t too high-up in the Chosen Classes (only an “indie actress” after all); otherwise too many of the self-chosen might be forced to consider whether “racism” or “xenophobia” or “anti-immigrant hysteria” might’ve saved her life.

This is a book review of “Breeding between the lines: Why interracial people are healthier and more attractive,” by Alon Ziv, 184 pp., Barricade Books, 2006, ISBN: 1569803064. My preliminary impression that the book most likely doesn’t have decent data in it is confirmed.

Race realism is just around the corner.

A short article in the Chicago Tribune, 10/5/2006, describes a new initiative to find ways to process the genetic code of individuals. A $10 million prize will be given to the first company that can sequence 100 individuals’ code in 10 days. The money is from the X Prize Foundation, and this initiative is named the Archon X Prize for Genomics.

Experts expect this to take at least five years, but that is a far shorter time than many detractors have predicted for say finding the genes for intelligence. The initiative will allow a person to get individualized medical treatment based on their genetic makeup (pharmacogenetics), but it will also indicate a host of individual vulnerabilities, ailments, personality types, etc.

Derbyshire: Race and Conservatism

Alas, there is no justice in politics.  Republicans got stuck as the party of racial discrimination.  Since racial discrimination soon came to be seen as the most unspeakable of all evils, and since, from the 1970s on, most conservatives were Republicans, it is not very surprising that conservatives don’t want to talk about race.

I think we should, though.  Our current silence keeps us out of present trouble, I’ll grant; but I believe it stores up future trouble. Let me try to explain.

I think that says it all about Conservatives today, in general.

Conservatism, to me, is the politics of the Cold Eye.  It strives to see human beings as they are, not through a smeared lens of wishful thinking or abstract ideology.

That’s what I thought too, but clearly it isn’t if self-professed Conservatives are to be believed.  By that metric I am a Conservative, but I’d just as soon leave the appellation to the mass that claims it.

In any case, the piece makes for a good read.

Interracial crime is worse than intraracial crime

This will be a short post.  Interracial crime is worse than intraracial crime because interracial crime leads to racism, which is a thought crime and grounds for firing, divorce, ostracization, anti-social behavior, etc.  In other words, interracial crime is worse because it does more damage.

I have posted a review of the book The Price of Whiteness: Jews, Race, and American Identity by Eric L. Goldstein, 2006. The book primarily looks at the debate within the Jewish community about how they should define themselves: a race, a nation, a religious group, an ethnic group, etc. The time span covers over 100 years, and it seems to vindicate MacDonald’s work with regards to Jewish apologia. It is 14 pages long.

When Kandi Boyd was called into a school assembly last year at Cleveland High School, she had no idea she was stepping into an innovative learning program based on the old-fashioned notion that personal attention can make a difference between success and failure in school.

What Boyd encountered was an auditorium full of African American students, faculty and staff behaving like a family, talking about race and cultural attitudes, upbraiding one another when needed but also expressing care and respect.

The program, named the Village, was created three years ago by African American faculty at Cleveland High, in Reseda, amid some controversy, because it is aimed only at black students. It focuses on forging personal connections with students in a communal setting that epitomizes the African proverb “It takes a village to raise a child.”

Critics are referred to, but not quoted.  Try and imagine that being the case with an identical story involving whites.

“Why not tell the whole truth?” asked an e-mail message from a reader.

She objected to a study I wrote about last month, which found that young black women with breast cancer were more likely than whites or older blacks to have a type of tumor with genetic traits that make it uncommonly lethal.

The reader wasn’t buying the idea of a biological difference linked to race.

Is there any way to ask these questions without sounding like a bigot or an oaf?

“It’s a very explosive issue,” said Dr. James P. Evans, director of adult genetics at the University of North Carolina. “And for a good reason. The whole concept of race has been abused blatantly in the past and egregiously misused in order to accomplish very distasteful ends socially and politically.”

The whole concept of nuclear reaction (and gunpowder, and the integrated circuit, and just about anything else of use) has been abused blatantly in the past and egregiously misused in order to accomplish very distasteful ends socially and politically.  Funny, but there are no social taboos surrounding the concepts of nuclear reaction, gunpowder, or integrated circuits.

Communism has led to more pain and death than any other single concept in history.  Where’s the taboo?

Talking objectively about nuclear reaction, gunpowder, integrated circuits, or communism won’t cost you your job, but talking objectively about race will, because there’s a whole lot about race that the establishment doesn’t want anyone to know.  Nuclear reaction, gunpowder, integrated circuits, and communism don’t threaten to destroy the establishment; race does.

Research from several disciplines shows that people often rely on stereotypes when making split-second judgments. A host of cues may trigger thoughts of danger, including the age, gender and clothing of the approaching stranger.

However, one cue that is consistently stereotyped as an indicator of crime is race, with blacks particularly likely to be perceived as threatening, violent and guilty of crime.

This one is pretty funny; play count the fallacies and lies by omission!

The obvious choice is blacks, right? Well yeah, there’s no news there. Listed below are the percent who answered ethnic group:

I bet the jewish number isn’t representative.  They’re crafty enough to know better than to answer honestly.  The same probably goes to a lesser extent for Mexicans.  Blacks get a “get out of media spotlight free” card at birth so their figure is probably relatively accurate.

Police Find Stolen Car Tied To Ax Murder Case

A Fulton County police officer shot and killed a man after a child was killed with an ax on Monday.

Fulton County police spokesman Gary Syblis says authorities were called to the scene where a nine-year-old child was found outside with an ax in his face Monday evening.

Police said the man they killed—22-year-old Santos Cabrera of Sandy Springs—has a criminal record. For most of the day Tuesday, authorities said they were sure Cabrera was the man who struck the child.

The boy, Jordin Paulder, was playing with two other children outside an apartment complex when a car pulled up around 8:20 p.m. Monday.

According to a police report, the boy called out to the people in the car to say that something was wrong with one of the vehicle’s wheels.

The report says one of the occupants of the car then made an obscene gesture. When the boy tried to tell the people he was just trying to help them, a man got out of the car and struck him in the face with an ax.
