A spoof, but a burning topic. The MEChA wildfire story should not have got on to the page, so it’s been taken down. I didn’t believe it, but didn’t question the source. It’s annoying to give a leg-up to this kind of thing. On the other hand, the thread it spawned is interesting in its own right, and should stand. A strategy of violence, where this has occurred in Europe and the Americas, seems to require a deep communal affront at some historical injustice. Whether that really exists in the south-west today is doubtful. But it might do in time. It’s one thing to replace the white population. It’s another to achieve the political ends that the Chicano students want - particularly to replace the old power elite. Sorry for the misdirection, but please continue to post on the thread. Posted by Scipio Americanus on Mon, 29 Oct 2007 02:05 | # More from the California Coalition for Immigration Reform (CCIR): The CCIR booklet, “The Takeover of America”, outlines the history of Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de AZTLAN (MEChA). Founded by a Communist trained revolutionary, their sole purpose is to “use” children to achieve their seditious goals by promoting anti-American sentiment, hate, violence and revolutionary activity on our campuses. FACT: MEChA National Constitution Preamble “Chicano and Chicana (Latino) students of Aztlan (the U.S. Southwestern states they have vowed to reconquer and reclaim for Mexico) must take upon themselves the responsibilities to promote Chicanismo with the community, politicizing our Raza (race) with an emphasis on indigenous consciousness to continue the struggle for the self-determination of the Chicano people for the purpose of liberating Aztlan.” FACT: MEChA “EL PLAN ESPIRITUAL de AZTLAN” Below are just a few excerpts from the overall “game plan” to “liberate Aztlan” in their own words! “In the spirit of a new people that is conscious not only of its proud historical heritage but also of the brutal “gringo” invasion of our territories….” “For the very young, there will no longer be acts of juvenile delinquency, but revolutionary acts”. FACT: MEChA vs CALIFORNIA EDUCATION CODES 31835: “Any use, by any individual, society, group or organization for the commission of any act intended to further any program or movement the purpose of which is to accomplish the overthrow of the government of the U.S or of the state by force, violence or other unlawful means while using school property pursuant to the provisions of this chapter is guilty of a misdemeanor”. 38136: “No governing board of a school district shall grant the use of any school property to any person or organization for any use in violation of Section 38135.” STATEMENT OF INFORMATION: In the interest of brevity, the below stipulations are included in this section: a) An officer of any group wishing to utilize school property to establish their group on-campus must submit a STATEMENT OF INFORMATION denying any violation of Section 31835 under penalty of perjury. b) The school board may require additional information deemed necessary prior to determining if use of school property violates Section 31835. CONCLUSION: Based on the above data, is there any question that: a) MEChA is a revolutionary-based organization intent on the overthrow of the U.S. government? b) MEChA is in violation of California Education Codes? c) Educational Officials who allow MEChA on-campus are in non-compliance with California Education Codes? 4
Posted by 2R on Mon, 29 Oct 2007 02:09 | # I don’t think it was MechA. Its too perfect. Instead, I predict a different scenario. The FBI will find out that it was actually “White Supremacists” who set the fire. It was them too, who sent the pictures and letter claiming they were MechA. The media, along with mestizo, and other “civil rights” activists will start a guilt campaign drawing attention to “Hate-groups” and to White “racism” in general. This will help destroy the credibility of the anti-illegal immigration movement as they will all now be labeled as “supremacists.” The SPLC will claim a serge in “hate-crimes” directed at mestizos and congress will hold hearings on the dangers of “Hate-groups.” Whites, who were involved with the anti-illegal immigration movement will be made to feel like criminals and because of this, will decrease their involvement in cause. Some mestizo firefighter will be made a hero for saving a little White kid and Time magazine will make him person of the year. If it does end up being MechA or any mestizos for that matter, it will be explained away as “rage” for all the “discrimination” that mestizos endure in this country. OR 5
Posted by Scipio Americanus on Mon, 29 Oct 2007 02:32 | # THE TAKEOVER OF AMERICA CD Produced by the California Coalition for Immigration Reform The California Coalition for Immigration Reform (CCIR) produced a CD with excerpts of radical speeches by Latino elected officials, professors, students and community activists, with additional comments by Congressman Tom Tancredo, L.A. Talk Show Host Larry Elder, former CA Governor Gray Davis—ending with disturbing chants by MEChA students. Mp3s of this can be downloaded at the link at the end of this post. A few of the verbatim transcripts: Armando Navarro, Prof. Ethnic Studies, UC Riverside at Latino Summit Response to Prop 187, UC Riverside, 1/1995 “These are the critical years for us as a Latino community. We’re in a state of transition. And that transformation is called ‘the browning of America’. Latinos are now becoming the majority. Because I know that time and history is on the side of the Chicano/Latino community. It is changing in the future and in the present the balance of power of this nation. It’s a game - it’s a game of power - who controls it. You (to MEChA students) are like the generals that command armies. WE"RE IN A STATE OF WAR. This Proposition 187 is a declaration of war against the Latino/Chicano community of this country. They know the demographics. They know that history and time is on our side. As one community, as one people, as one nation within a nation as the community that we are, the Chicano/Latino community of this nation. What this means is a transfer of power. It means control.”
“Que viva la causa! It is an honor to be with the new leadership of the Americas, here meeting at UC Riverside. So with 187 on the ballot, what is it going to take for our people to vote - to see us walking into the gas ovens? It is electoral power that is going to make the determination of where we go as a community. And power is not given to you—you have to take it. Remember: 187 is the last gasp of white America in California. Understand that. And people say to me on the Senate floor when I was in the Senate, ‘Why do you fight so hard for affirmative action programs?’ And I tell my white colleagues, ‘because you’re going to need them.’”
“The border remains a military zone. We remain a hunted people. Now you think you have a destiny to fulfill in the land that historically has been ours for forty thousand years. And we’re a new Mestizo nation. And they want us to discuss civil rights. Civil rights. What law made by white men to oppress all of us of color, female and male. This is our homeland. We cannot - we will not- and we must not be made illegal in our own homeland. We are not immigrants that came from another country to another country. We are migrants, free to travel the length and breadth of the Americas because we belong here. We are millions. We just have to survive. We have an aging white America. They are not making babies. They are dying. It’s a matter of time. The explosion is in our population.”
“We’re going to take over all the political institutions in California. In five years the Hispanics are going to be the majority population of this state.” Caller: “You also made the statement that California is going to become a Hispanic state and if anyone doesn’t like it they should leave - did you say that?” Obledo: “I did. They ought to go back to Europe.”
When CCIR, the California Coalition for Immigration Reform, erected a billboard on the California/Arizona border reading, “WELCOME TO CALIFORNIA, THE ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION STATE”, Mario Obledo, infuriated, went to the billboard location and threatened to blow it up or burn it down. Even after this threat to deny American citizens their freedom of speech, President Clinton awarded Obledo the Presidential Medal of Freedom, America’s highest civilian honor. CCIR question to Obledo: “Jose Angel Gutierrez said, ‘We have an aging white America, they are dying, I love it.’ How would you translate that statement?” Obledo: “He’s a good friend of mine. A very smart person.”
Fabian Nunez, formerly Alliance for Immigrant Rights, political liaison for L.A. School District, currently Speaker of the CA Assembly at Latino Summit Response to Prop 187 at UC Riverside, 1/1995 “There’s only two forms of power in this country and in this world. One is economic power, We certainly don’t have the economic power because we don’t own the means of production, but there’s another form of power, and that’s the power of the masses. So you can be as revolutionary as you want, you can be Chicano nationalist, you can be Mexican-American, you can be Hispanic, you can believe in the concept of Aztlan, you can believe in the concept of multi-culturalism. Somebody can say ‘Everybody here is wrong, I am the only one that has reached revolutionary completeness’. But the bottom line is that if we do not mobilize our community we are not putting together a setting - the parameters to establish a massive movement in our community. That’s what this is about. And that’s why I am here today - to talk about who here wants to organize the masses, and who here is interested in developing that movement that somebody earlier said that the sleeping giant is in a coma. I’ll tell you that on October 16 (“Grande Marcha” against Prop. 187) 150,000 representatives from the sleeping giant were not in a coma but rather were marching down the streets of Los Angeles saying that enough is enough and we’re no longer going to tolerate the racism against our community. The very essence of the dignity of our community is in danger right now. Luckily, we don’t have to give our lives. We’re not at that point, but we can give a little. What I would like to ask everybody here to give is not necessarily your life, but to give one moment of thought to what the importance of a national march on Washington DC in 1996 would mean for the mass movement of our community. Get ten people, ten people ready to go with us to that march to Washington DC in ‘96, and I guarantee you, just as we mobilized 150 (sic) people into the streets of Los Angeles on October 16, we can mobilize one million people and bring Washington to a standstill, and those rednecks that are out there making decisions for the betterment of their communities will think twice before they push forward anti-immigrant legislation against our community. And so that we can show our people that the time has come for us to come together on what brings us together instead of to sit down and bump heads. And I tell the students in the colleges, if you’re still debating the question of whether they’re Chicanos or Mexicanos, or Chicano/Mexicano, we’re not learning from the lessons of ten, fifteen years ago. The time has come for unity - there’s too many things that separate people, but we have to begin to look at what brings us together. And so I ask everybody here, how many of you agree if we can leave here with one thing today, that in 1996 we are going to Washington DC on a mass mobilization there to bring Washington to a standstill so that they know that we’re there and that we begin to put into place those things that are necessary to insure that we advance the interests of our community. Raise your hands, those of you that agree with what I’m saying.” Larry Elder, L.A. radio talk show host reads a letter from one of his listeners: “Dear Larry, I spent ten years as a cruise hostess working at sea on cruise ships all over the world, so many of my assignments were to the Mexican Riviera, going back to the destination over and over again working friendships with many of the local people working along side of us in the Mexican tourist industry. Larry, the one phrase I heard a hundred times or more was, ‘When the revolution is over.’ When I asked for information, always the same answer, ‘When they have California back.’ Young or old, it seems they grew up being taught there would be a revolution some day. Somehow they would have California back.” MEChA (student wing of the Aztlan movement - motto: “For the race, everything, for those outside the race, nothing.”) chants at national conference, Cal State Univ., Northridge, 6/1996 “Viva la raza (long live our race)”, “Chicano power” “We didn’t cross the border, the border crossed us” “Long live the revolution” “Esta es mi tierra, esta es mi lucha (This is my land, this is my fight)” 6

Please note that I have not even commented on the story but rather on MEChA’s nature as a white-hating, revolutionary organization whose stated goals are the re-conquest of territory referred to as “Aztlan” and the ethnic cleansing of the hated white race. My comments were directed at the remark that MEChA “never advocates violence” which is a preposterous statement on its face. For example, in 1993, in order to advance their demand for full department status for Chicano Studies at UCLA, MEChA spearheaded a riot that destroyed half a million dollars worth of campus property! Threats, intimidation and violence are all employed by this and other like-minded organizations. The principles of MEChA are based upon El Plan Espiritual. Its motto is “Por La Raza todo. Fuera de La Raza nada” (For the race, everything. For those outside the race, nothing.”) MEChA, along with LULAC, MALDEF, MEChA/MEXA, LA RAZA and other “Hispanic” groups are all revolutionary in tenor and seek the destruction of our race and nation. From one of the quotes produced above: “For the very young, there will no longer be acts of juvenile delinquency, but revolutionary acts.” Please read the other quotes and you will find them littered with references of revolution against the hated white man, his institutions and government. Regarding the story, I refrained from commenting on it directly because I was not able to verify its authenticity via other sources. Frankly, my initial gut reaction told me that it’s false for two reasons: 1) Would METChA or any other organization publicly claim responsibility for such a disaster given the growing climate of hostility towards “Hispanics” as a result of “our” government’s open borders policy? OF course not! Such a proclamation would be suicidal to their long term objectives which are proceeding along quite nicely. 2) Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and other traitors who sit in high office throughout the country would be the last to confirm something like this publicly. After all, he and his ilk have been actively seeking to flood this country with illegal aliens and grant them citizenship. Acknowledgment of such a crime, if true, would be actively suppressed and only brought to light via independent sources and certainly not a MSM outlet like CNN! 14

I also appreciate the link to Josh’s protest in 2006. If only we had been so White Racially Aware back in the 1970’s and ‘80’s in Californication, perhaps these degenerates would not have been able to push this garbage into the mainstream of political discourse. Chicano studies? Huh! Might as well label the department “Inciting violence against Anglos using Marxist rhetoric for death and mayhem.” Oh, yeah. Prospective parents would balk at sending their white child to a college or SU with that on the ‘approved list of majors.’ 16

At gun shows they (along with Koreans) are the largest market for quality, off-list AR lower receivers. At paintball ranges they practice urban fire team and squad tactics – most are pretty damn good. There is a mighty difference between rioting students - another commonplace in Europe - and a campaign of genuine terror. Violence in any meaningful sense belongs to the latter, and this MEChA has studiously avoided. Until 9/11, Americans had not experienced, and certainly not lived through a long campaign of, terror (starting wildfires that threatened and claimed lives would, of course, qualify as terrorism). Scipio’s anger bespeaks much innocence on that score. A long exposure to the doleful process would quickly age that to cynicism. As one who grew cynical long ago, I hope he continues to avoid such a fate. 19

Traffic stops in the rural Corp. Farming areas of California, usually are for Joe Six Pack, with a headlight out or cracked windscreen. When the PD show up for the Mestizo with no license, it is because of an vehicle collision or a rollover due to the combination of speed and alcohol. I have seen the Mestizo given a ticket with a Notice to Appear, and of course being that he gave a false name, never shows up at his Hearing. As to Koreans/Chinese and illegal weapons, just recall the case of the local Chinese restaurant owner in the Salad Bowl area of California getting caught with storage units of automatic weapons….The restaurant is still there, the story ran for a day maybe two and buried in the back of the local rag. “That has never advocated violence, and it’s difficult to believe that it would take a terrorist’s brazen pleasure now in the death of the twelve who were caught in the fires.” (Guessedworker)
NONSENSE! MEChA is a prototypical white-hating revolutionary group that has, since it’s inception, preached violent mass-action to “take back” land that they regard as “stolen.”
Formed in the late 1960’s, MEChA is an acronym for Moviemiento Estudiantil Chicano de AZTLAN (Chicano Student Movement) that preaches the U.S. southeastern states, referred to as “AZTLAN,” was stolen from Mexico and must be reconquered (“Reconquista”) from the hated Anglo-Americans.
According to the California Coalition for Immigration Reform:
“MEChA was founded for the sole purpose of infiltrating our educational system and, by lies and propaganda, literally “brainwashing” students with anti-American sentiment, hate and violence with the ultimate goal of revolution and the overthrow of the U.S. government.”
CCIR’s web site has a brief overview of MEChA actions and statements by THEIR OWN LEADERS:
* In 1970, the University of Texas at El Paso MEChA group declared: “We do not seek assimilation; we seek self-preservation of our culture and language.”
* The San Diego City College MEChA declared the 5 U.S. southwestern states were no longer part of the U.S., lowered the American flag & raised the Aztlan flag in its place.
* In 1971, U.C. Santa Barbara MEChA was asked to work with campus police to avoid violence. Their reply: “...we view the campus police as an integral part of this whole repressive system…we cannot accept this ‘kiss of death’...que viva la revolucion (long live the revolution)!”
* In May 1993, MEChA at UCLA spearheaded the riot that caused $500,000 damage to that campus when they occupied buildings & demanded full department status for Chicano studies.
* MIGUEL PEREZ, Cal State Northridge MEChA: “The ultimate ideology is the liberation of Aztlan”. When asked his preference of government, said, “Communism would be closest. Non-Chicanos would have to be expelled ...opposition groups would be quashed because you have to keep the power.”
* PROF. RUDY ACUNA, MEChA advisor, Cal State Northridge, self-described Socialist: “Chicanos have to get a lot more militant about defending our rights” and promoted violence by his 1993 national telecom to Hispanic students to “TAKE BACK YOUR HISTORY”.
* MEChA STUDENT, 3/97 Rally, L.A. City Hall: “When the people in this building don’t listen to the demands of our community, it’s time to burn it down!”
* MEChA NATIONAL CONFERENCE, MICHIGAN STATE UNIVERSITY, 4/97:
- Featured huge drawing of EMILIANO ZAPATA holding rifle on knees as face page of their program
- “CH” was replaced by “X”, i.e., Chicano now “XICANO”, MEChA now “MEXA”, etc.
- Their Program statements included:
“National revolution is the theme for this year’s MEXA conference”
“Throughout Latin America, the university provides the embryo of resistance…the PLO found birth in the university…Cuban revolutionaries as well”
“We of the university are becoming a privileged few - we become part of the machinery that enslaves our nation. We must reject this and become a nation within a nation with a national plan of action as new soldiers in our struggle for national independence, and an emerging XICANO nation.”
“This is revolution at its basic level, moving the people toward more confrontational politics.”
“Only we can move our families and our communities toward becoming a united people again in building an XICANO nation. We are NOT American or Mexican…we are XICANO, and we must find own way to form a new visible, viable Indian nation within a nation.”
“We should do everything we can to promote the Spanish language as a means of solidarity among XICANOS.”
* MEChA LITERATURE, U.C. IRVINE: Referencing AZTLAN (U.S. Southwest) -
“This land is ours and always will be.”
