Or very nearly (but for Nordicism). This afternoon JJR put up a post at Dissecting Leftism that fisked the recent, psychologically creaking “evidence” of Socialist German MP Prof. Dr. Gert Weisskirchen to the All-Party Parliamentary Group Against Antisemitism at Westminster.

The Group’s 100-page report had Herr Professor Doktor wiseacring in good Frankfurt order:-

“Nationalistic or right-wing populist movements are trying to gain a foothold to varying degrees in all European States. Apart from bringing chauvinistic longings up to date, the common elements in their rationale are the emphasis on authoritarian thinking, the stirring up of resentment towards established parties and the mobilization of right-wing extremist attitudes in the form of xenophobia or even open racism and antisemitism.”

... So (writes JJR) “nationalistic or right-wing populist movements” are the prime source of antisemitism. There is absolutely no mention of Islam or Leftist “antizionism”, which are by far the main forms of antisemitism today. Could the fact that the professor is also a socialist member of the German parliament have something to do with that? ...

More in that style and less of the “Stomp Israel” stuff and I might have enjoyed a more somnulent intellectual life over the last few months.

This is JJR in his ‘reasonable, WN-friendly’ phase. He may keep it up for some time, hoping to worm his way back in.

GW-I notice that since the “resignation"of JJR”,O tto H immler has mimimised his postings,and now there are a few more “nom de guerres”-coincidental maybe,but then,you are a better judge.I also would like to compliment you on your individual posts-better than JJR’s,and more readable.I would also like to express my distress at the posters who continually and vituperfously villify their fellow posters.I’m from the old school—“take it outside” ,“put your money where your mouth is”,“don’t let your mouth overload your ass”,etc. Not to mention those who hide their identity or change it as convient. Maybe you should start an “AKA"page,so we know who we’re responding to.A Lurker Mark XX would really screw things up.

Yes, Daedalus. He has concluded that antisemitism is the driving force here and, essentially, has quit trying to bring us within the pale of reason.

Nick, I’m not against people changing their blog-names per se. Bo’s switch to “The White Abe Foxman” is a gas. But I do agree that handles seem to have modulated from being a necessary family protective for racially-aware posters and commenters to being a weapon of internicine warfare ... “I hit you but, ha ha, you can’t hit me.”

I know the long-term handle of the party - a regular commenter - who posted as Political Guru on my “News Items” thread, passing himself off successfully for a time as JW (I won’t reveal who it is, though I told JW). This sort of thing is simply inexcusable, and absolutely NOT what we need.

If the individual concerned woiuld care to explain to me why I should not ban him from the blog, I will consider his argument.

Today JJR announced the start of a new blog dedicated to British affairs, actually just a gathering of the British-oriented log entries at his various blogs in a single place for the convenience of British readers. He writes,

BRITISH BLOGGING

Judging from my emails, most readers of my blogs are American or Australian. Since I blog from Australia about mostly American issues, that is not at all surprising. I am a little disappointed, however, that I have so few British readers. I in fact give quite a wide coverage to British news and views on my blogs but the coverage is scattered across several blogs so it may not be obvious to British readers that I am, among other things, a “British blogger.” In case it helps me to communicate more with British readers, therefore, I have decided to round up all the “British” posts from my various blogs every day and put them up all together on a single, separate blog. Once I have prepared something for posting, it takes me only seconds to put it up elsewhere so the new blog will not be any appreciable burden on my time. The new blog is now up and running and is called “Eye on Britain.” I would be obliged if anybody who knows Brits would direct their attention to it.
