The DT takes the first step on the journey
Making a point nationalists have made for decades, and in the same general language, someone named David Shipley, of whom I previously knew nothing, was allowed by the Daily Telegraph to write the most positive (albeit pay-walled) statement of Englishness I have encountered in the MSM for as long as I can remember. It followed the reaction from certain quarters to a video interview of the steadily right-migrating Matt Goodwin with the former Conservative minister Michael Gove, who is now editor of the DT’s sister publication The Spectator, . You can see it here: As Shipley puts it, Goodwin drew:
Shipley then names four of the many spitting blood at Goodwin for this heresy, none of whom, in truth, have any business telling a whole people it may not exist. Three are Jews. The other is a former backroom boy in the Blair government named John McTernan. He describes himself as “Irish” and “never English”. “The concept of the ethnic English is truly evil”, says McTernan, which is an astonishing and hateful claim. “Is it racist to recognise that the English exist?” asks Shipley of his readers. In his closing paragraph he answers his own question:
Well, it’s actually a modus operandum of the true evil that is the erasure of our ethnicity and peoplehood. But the journey of a thousand miles, they say, starts with a single step. Let that be it, and let the impudent scheming of the British Establishment and its agora of hostiles like McTernan be dragged into the light of day. Let the final step of the nationalist journey bring us home as a native English people seething with the life and energy, positivity, and natural spirit that manifested itself right up to 1945. Let each charactered part, each person, know what it is to belong to the whole and to be steeped in mutual recognition and mutual acceptance, therefore; each given to care where now there is indifference, and to feel generosity where now there is estrangement and withholding; and let each and every one of us be imbued with a sense of the venture and destining of the all. These things made concrete make the land and home of an authentic “ethnos, a people and a nation”. Sunk in the estrangements of liberal modernity though we are today, for each Englishman and woman to be able one day to know this lived truth again, and to be able to name it, and speak that name with love, would be enough. As one of the idiots outlined to me a couple of weeks ago, it’s all training for their Communist revolution and all they need is the working class to get on board .(lol). The white working class have a good sense of Englishness and belonging but as we know, they are not allowed to express it. The likes of Matt Goodwin could help a lot to change that. 3

Posted by Guessedworker on Sat, 05 Jul 2025 23:02 | # Craig Houston is a gas, Manc. His argument raises the question as to why the woman in that video clip behaves in this way. Houston asks, in essence, “what does she think she is doing?” A famous answer to that question was offered a decade ago in Black Pigeon’s provocative “Why women destroy civilisation.” His conclusion was that women think reproductively more or less all the time. They are given western civilisation by us. They are given their freedoms by us. Those on the left routinely then despise us as “weak”, in contrast to the men from, as BP put it, hyper-masculine Muslim and Sub-Saharan societies who are colonising our home and who control their women, indeed female fertility itself. Apparently, the deepest wish - the most alluring and irresistible sexual fantasy - of left-wing women is not to be loved, or treasured and protected, but to experience domination as a measure of male physical desire. It’s all about degrees of female constriction and submission. No wonder Fifty Shades of Grey caused such a stir among repressed female Guardian readers. Well, I haven’t met many Arabs or Turks. Sub-continental Indians and Sub-Saharan Africans I know better. I don’t find either especially masculine by the western sociobiological standard. At the mean, SSAs are hyper-sexualised and more assertive behaviourally. But - at the mean - they are also quite simple and child-like, and less emotionally predictable. One may not want to be too honest with them for that reason. At the mean, they are not like us, and neither are Indians. They cannot be what we are. Obviously, I would not distinguish between Muslim SSAs and Indians and non-Muslim SSAs and Indians in that respect. To me, as a western man, masculinity cannot truly be measured without recourse to the fundamental creativity required to turn towards the cold north wind and make a whole world from the wilderness to bestow upon western woman. The western civilisational genius is absolutely fundamental to the measure of our masculinity. If left-wing women have forgotten that masculine miracle, and hold it and us cheap because of mass immigration, basically ... if they actually believe that we are Nazis if we reject the foreigner in our home while the foreigner cruelly dominating a woman is desirable and evincing strength ... then they are suffering from some psycho-sexual pathology. Seeking some S&M experience from totally foreign men is, to quote Craig Houston, “absolutely bonkers”. For the record, from the western male perspective the need for some crude domination of women is evidence of a terrible weakness. All essentially violent behaviour in the self flows from weakness. Violence against the weak, including sexual violence, is never an act of strength. 5
Posted by Guessedworker on Sun, 06 Jul 2025 21:01 | # Matt Goodwin is back at it again today, publishing a piece on “cultural change” at the DT:
Well, either he actually believes that or he just can’t talk about the English blood in his veins or - more likely - as he is now part of Nigel Farage’s circle he is holding to the red lines of Reform. Farage is building a broad coalition, as he must. It may include Dom Cummings, who has been seen dining with Farage. In his interview of Liz Truss, Andrew Gold felt constrained to ask her if she thought Reform could win power, and if she would be “with them”. She gave a politic answer, which did not address the question. She would, she said, like a re-alignment on the right, excluding the CINOs. Blood and soil is a long-long away from all this. But that’s OK. No one but genuine nationalists will ever do nationalism right. 6

It seems to me like you’re living in an entirely different reality. Could you explain your perspective to us ordinary folks? 8

Matt Goodwin is at it again this morning, this time writing a piece for the DM on the cost to the tax-payer of the Labour government’s migrant policy. It is behind the pay-wall. We folk who prefer not to subsidise this rag can only read the header and the opening lines:
But it is more evidence of the awakening of Matt Goodwin. Ten or twelve years ago he was still all anti-fash. Now he’s leading the ragged forces of respectable reaction. All power to him.
