The true face of Leonardo?

Well, maybe.  Here’s something I picked up off the IHR circular, and thought might be worth posting if the advertising content on the original could be pruned.  It could.

So here is a four-minute presentation by Siegfried Woldhek, a newspaper illustrator with a sideline as a Third World techno do-gooder, on his research into “the true face” of Leonardo de Vinci.

Absolutely fascinating artistic detective work.  And I think he must be correct — what an elegant piece of deduction he’s done.  So, we now know what Leonardo da Vinci looked like!  A very fine looking man, too — what others said about him, it turns out, was true!

Interesting. Why didn’t someone else think of that. So this is who we got some of the ideas of beauty?

hey GW,

http://curmudgeonjoy.blogspot.com/

http://malcolmpollack.com/

these guys seem to have some profitable/interesting conversation going.

One other thing I’ve found thats worth mentioning:

northern women prefer northern men.
Theres much less reason to fear increased competition from miscegenation
because the northies are secretly routing for the home team. I didnt realize
this or believe it until recently when I’d gained more experience.

Those that arent are low-qual. I mean, its true ipso facto, but the girls I met
who went with blacks were in hindsight really low-quality, I just couldnt tell it
at the time so I thought all girls were that way. Once you learn how to screen
its really easy to avoid “the big surprise”. Just go for class, its not hard to tell.
Its not hard to sort em once you got an eye for it.

I really wish this blog would take off more, but you guys are selling
high-end theory, only palatable to the very few. Only after a long time away
do I realize how high-end this writing and theory is. You have it all sorted
from the history of Christianity to modern genetics… amazing. The calibre of truth that comes from this site is still startling and wonderful. Ideas brought from other sources dissolve in this blog like weak metals in acid.

I’m really enjoying reading your last few prose pieces GW. I haven’t found anybody that writes with such an august tone, it ennobles the subject matter. August is a word that almost isnt in my vocabulary but its peculiarly appropriate to the things you write. thanks for keeping with it.

Hey PF,

Nice to have you drop by, and thanks for the links (which I have checked out - I will leave a few comments to see whether these guys follow the trail).

PF, you should know that I always considered my earth-bound scribblings to suffer by comparison with your heavenward poetic arrows.  What a blogger you would have been, with a little more time.  The door will always be open to you.

Northern lassies of class?  No less than you deserve.

GW,

So what can I contribute? What work of thought is both within reach and brings benefit?

GW and PF, stop jerking off each others’ enoblements and just communicate what’s on your mind in the simplest language available.

: and Happy Birthday to Leonardo for tomorrow.

Even tho’ your most famous work is an average portrait of an ugly woman—your other work is known to be the ‘Real Deal’.

Nice to see you, PF.  I still remember your analysis of the mind of Christopher Hitchens.  It was one of my favorites.

What work of thought is both within reach and brings benefit?

Observations of life, political and personal, and maybe some portraits of people met along the way.  Pushings of the envelope.  Constructive criticisms of the gestures and efforts we - not just just MRers, but all of us - make in the name of our peoples ...

That sort of thing.  But, really, there’s no saying what a creative mind can achieve, and to try to set guidelines for it is to set limits which wouldn’t do it justice.

Another portrait surfaced a year after this lecture was given.

This one would be a “missing link” between the age-33 portrait and the age-63 portraits discussed in the lecture.

Leonardo da Vinci had long blond hair and piercing blue eyes, according to a portrait that has come to light…
