Note: I understand that there has been another synagogue shooting - this time in San Diego, where one Jewish person was killed and some wounded by a young White man with White right wing views.
Of course Majorityrights does not endorse such acts. It does not do anybody any good. The young man threw away his life as well, when he had much to live for.
I like to paraphrase a Kenneth Burke remark, “a few more words added to his grammar of motives can change a would be killer into an outstanding citizen.”
If adversaries of White Nationalism try to use it to further clamp down on our free speech, my position is that this will leave our people inarticulate, much as they were in days prior to the internet.
Both in attempts to rise above the din of controlled media then, as there was with George Lincoln Rockwell types of burlesque and because more refined understanding of White Nationalism and its means are not available to help young White men become more articulate, there will be these more desperate, destructive and stigmatizing reactions.
I got a hard lesson in taking my own project all the more seriously when I felt the need to be more conciliatory than I should have to some of the right wing types who were earlier participants and friends of Majorityrights. I did not want to be too disrespectful, particularly after I lost my cool when posts were put up at MR about how “funny” Heinrich Himmler was and how “Poland” was defined by perfidy.
I’m speaking specifically about our friend Jimmy Marr, and his predicament as I see it, as a boomer who’s growing up in a time of controlled media did not facilitate a more articulate view (despite his obvious intelligence) and hence a right wing reactionary view that has him attempting to exonerate Hitler completely and specifically, to excuse and make light of the murders by Glenn Miller, which were similarly as foolish as the San Diego synagogue murder.
Because he helped with what I consider to be an important thread, on the importance of the original meaning of Halloween to White people (our ancestors day), because I felt a bit guilty about scolding him, one of our senior advocates and a basically good and smart guy, and finally, because it was a clever/funny poem about Glenn Miller going to kill a few…. I left it up when he posted it on the Halloween thread.
I should not have. It was a mistake.
I had forgotten all about his comment, but went to post something on the thread a year or two later because I like to call attention to that thread because, as I said, Halloween ergo Ancestor day, is important to us.
Wouldn’t you know that was about two days after the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting. And that was the top comment for a few days, until I finally looked up the thread to be reminded that there was the poem about how ‘funny’ Glenn Miller’s shooting was.
Massive face palm.
I took it down but only about three days after the Pittsburgh shooting, a time when enemies of WN would be scouring the internet for incendiary things like that.
I had taken it too much for granted that it was understood that we didn’t endorse Glenn Miller nor that kind of act….
Still, before critics of White Nationalism try to take action on the basis of any particular item, it is only fair that they call attention to the particular item that concerns them and give us a chance to correct it, if we are indeed, mistaken.
And this is what I would expect of critics of White Nationalism, that they recognize that this platform, anyway, is trying to act responsibly - we are tying to work toward ways in which our people can remain of our kind, and yet live in peaceful co-existence with others, at least in theory - it will be only harder to do in practice if the theory continues to be blocked.
