The Future of Germany is Unclear

Frank Kemp Salter is an Australian academic and researcher. Most of his career was at the Max Planck Research Centre for Human Ethology, in Andechs, Germany. He is best known for writings on ethnicity and ethnic interests. He studies political phenomena using conventional methods and the theories of behavioral biology. He has written about hierarchy (Emotions in Command, 1995), indoctrination (Ethnic Conflict and Indoctrination, 1998, edited with I. Eibl-Eibesfeldt), ethnic altruism and conflict (Welfare, Ethnicity and Altruism, 2002, Risky Transactions: Trust, Kinship and Ethnicity, 2004), and genetic interests (On Genetic Interests, 2003). In a review, Jared Taylor called On Genetic Interests “a vitally important contribution to our understanding of the significance of race and ethnicity in human affairs.” Dr. Salter has also been an adviser to Australia’s populist One Nation Party.

Grégoire Canlorbe: You write about the biological underpinnings of the obedience to one’s superiors in a hierarchy, especially in a bureaucracy. Please tell us more about this.

Frank Salter: In writing Emotions in Command, I observed command-giving in many organizations, from the military, to courts and parliaments, to nightclub doormen and theatrical rehearsals. The methods and observational categories were very much in the ethological tradition of Irenäus Eibl-Eibesfeldt, whom I later joined as a colleague at his Max Planck Research Centre.

I expected to find dominance, and did, but I also found friendly behavior. Effective leaders take care to soften commands and bind subordinates to them through generosity and fairness. In doing this, they are helped by what I called the “dominance infrastructure,” this being the organization’s set of rules backed by inducements and punishments. My observations confirmed part of Max Weber’s theory of bureaucracy: that it is a rule-governed hierarchy. Being rule governed, with obedience largely ensured by the dominance infrastructure, administrative positions can be filled by a wide range of personalities. Domineering behavior or brilliant leadership have negative and positive effects respectively, but are not required for the organization to function.

       

It was the discovery of the affiliative component of hierarchy that led me to search for an “affiliative infrastructure.” That search led me to study ethnic ties, which can bind large populations. I wanted to know if there such a thing as an “ethnic infrastructure”?

Grégoire Canlorbe: A popular claim by J. Philippe Rushton is that there are racial differences in ethnocentrism, with the least genetically heterogeneous ethnic groups being the most ethnocentric. Do you agree?

Frank Salter: Philippe Rushton’s theory was not the basis of my research into ethnic kinship. Instead, it was William Hamilton’s theory of inclusive fitness, which is generally accepted in ethology and evolutionary biology. The theory states that kinship bonds promote the reproduction of shared genes. Hamilton extended his theory to ethnic groups. I’m not aware of the finding you describe (that variations in genetic homogeneity and the degree of genetic similarity predict the level of ethnocentrism), though it has a certain plausibility. What I am aware of is that the degree of genetic homogeneity is related to solidarity, a sense of social cohesion; or, to put it differently, conflict increases when society becomes more genetically diverse. That finding, which is compatible with Hamilton’s theory, has been repeated again and again. The work of the late Tatu Vanhanen is an excellent example.

Nonetheless it seems that a more diverse society can actually lead to greater ethnocentrism: not at the level of society taken as whole, but at the level of the different ethnic components of society. As you can see in the case of America especially (and this is a universal trend in the West), white majorities are now increasingly ethnocentric, but it clearly doesn’t compare to the very high ethnocentrism of black or Latino minorities. This is an issue the media and the universities don’t understand, and never talk about.

Degrees of Nationalism

Many English people can’t understand why some Scots support the Scottish National Party and the EU at the same time. The fact is that nationalism comes in degrees from tribalism to imperialism. British nationalists embrace England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales but they reject European federalism.

John Tyndall refused to accept that the old dominions were entitled to their own nationalism; he thought they should embrace British nationalism. I have never been to Canada but I have lived and worked in South Africa, Australia and New Zealand, and I can say with certainty that they each have their own identities and aspirations. JT imagined that the Afrikaners are British but they would not agree with him, like the Irish, they fought long and hard for their independence from the British Empire.

British imperialists believed in our divine right to rule over lesser races. This idea lasted until February 1942 when General Percival surrendered the British garrison at Singapore to General Yamashita. But attitudes often lag behind history and the British, myself included, were still celebrating imperialism long after the Union Jack had been lowered on yet another black dictatorship.

When Britain ruled half the world only the Irish fought for independence within the British Isles but now that the Empire has gone we are witnessing an upsurge of Scottish and Welsh nationalism. But it’s not at all clear what ‘independence’ means in a global economy.

Nationality is a state of mind. British passports can be bought in the street markets of Karachi, but the possession of such a document does not make one British. Europe is another state of mind, it’s not just the landmass between the Atlantic and the Urals, it’s the great civilisation that we are part of. Patriotism is all very well on the sports field, but petty nationalism always results in hostility.

The idea of Europe united as a collection of nation states is gaining popularity but without a unifying philosophy such a union is unlikely to succeed. The Kingdom of Yugoslavia was formed from the Slav nations of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, but the new kingdom hardly got going when it was devastated by the Second World War. The invading Axis forces dismembered Yugoslavia before they were driven out by the Partisans under Marshal Tito. He died in 1980 and within a decade Yugoslavia had disintegrated. Tito was a Croat who lived in Serbia, and he was a communist who defied the Soviet Union. His authoritarian regime united the country but when he died ancient resentments emerged and the Balkans took a giant step backwards.

This movement was inspired by Guillaume Faye (pictured) the so-called “Mad Bastard” of the French New Right who died last year. He attempted to combine the virtues of the old and the new. Archeofuturism has been described as “the organic principle that heralds the marriage of antiquity with postmodernism.” Guillaume Faye predicted “a convergence of catastrophes.” His philosophy respected tradition whilst welcoming modernity. According to Faye, the inherent genius of the white race is not dead but merely dormant. He predicted that the 21st century will see a revival of European solidarity and a great reawakening of the European spirit. Let’s hope that he is right.

This website will be of no interest to insular nationalists but those of us who can see beyond the White Cliffs of Dover will welcome the Archeofuturist assurance that the future belongs to us. The Coronavirus pandemic will challenge liberal capitalism as nations try to keep millions of unemployed workers on the dole. Existing problems will get worse and underlying tensions will emerge. A complete revolution of the spirit could be just what we need.

The perception is that crime increased under Tony Blair, Gordon Brown, Dave Cameron, Theresa May and Boris Johnson. The ‘Metro’ of Fri 1st Feb 2019 reported that the UK has dropped three places to 11th in the latest international league table of corruption. We are currently preoccupied with the Coronavirus pandemic but when we get back to normal corruption will still be with us.

Could Roe v. Wade be overturned?

Some editorial first impressions of Amy Coney Barrett.

In the disciplined manner that she speaks of ruling, she indicates that overturning Roe v Wade is unlikely. That’s good if she cannot, but I say it without self righteousness. I can understand those who think abortion is barbaric and would never do it themselves. But then, that is what choice in the event is about.

Speaking of choice, as WN, we might hope that White girls be offered counseling, including the option of pre-natal care and adoption by a sponsoring adoptive couple.

And beyond the personal lives of those involved, it is a problem for White men if the consequence of pregnancy and the value of their seed can be terminated so easily; i.e., it certainly contributes to the slutdom and the general lack of caution in partner selection of contemporary girls, increased selection against beta males: while the old adage, beta males make families, alpha males make bastards.

Nevertheless, I am pro-choice for the same reason that I favor the death penalty: You can’t value life so much as to make it unlivable.

Again, if you think abortion is unconscionable then don’t have one. If you want to promote communities which heavily promote monogamy and group fidelity, practices which decrease unwanted pregnancy, counselling programs which offer the option of childcare assistance and adoption in the more rare event by implication, that’s well and good. On the other hand, if I had a daughter and she were impregnated by rape? Are you going to try to tell me that she can’t have an abortion you evil dirt bag?

Incest pregnancies and those which are known prenatally to have birth defects would be other easier cases for the pro choice side.

Finally, from a WN standpoint, with brown and black populations exploding, the ideal of “pro-life” puts White lives on the chopping block and not even all that indirectly.

Therefore, in this regard it is good that Barrett doesn’t seem as if she will be able to overturn Roe v Wade. It is good that Trump as opposed to Biden-Harris has the choice of the Supreme Court Candidate for reasons more broadly across the board, environmental issues being a marked negative against Trump’s picks. But for WN interests, the issue of Supreme Court Nominees has always been the strongest argument on behalf of Trump. And as WN we are not looking toward the continuation of the American project for decades anyway; we are looking to buy us a few more years for preparation.

As it is also true that WN is not prepared for the complete meltdown just yet and the kind of Supreme Court Justices that Biden-Harris would put in there, well, what happens when you think things couldn’t get any worse for Whites?

The problem is, while the Democrats and their politics on behalf of their voter base always do increase the YIN vertigo, the injustice for Whites and sadistic race-mix blender action, the Republicans (at least since I’ve been alive) always step in there for the YANG normalization of the resultant mix; “this is what real men, real Americans, real conservatives are about.” Trump is very much like that…

Amy Coney Barrett is very much of that ilk - conserving liberalism, from her Christian universal values which have her adopting two Haitians (!) when she already has five kids of her own; to her faithfulness to color blind American Constitutionalism. The best that she and the Republicans have to offer is a slower boil that will allow WN more time to organize, which we need. At worst, you know what they say about the slow boil and the frog.

The DNA Nations concept is the best option at this point for those who care about Whites and their means of extrication from this cataclysm to our EGI, as the border, demographic, power and rule structure of America has destiny already pretty much baked in the cake of its standard politics.
