Andrei Illarionov, who worked as a senior policy adviser to Vladimir Putin at the start of his term, supplies his insights into the Russian dictator and the global strategy he is advancing.

He’s accusing Putin/Russia of what the West is actually trying to do to Putin/Russia; namely overthrow the Putin regime so as to take over and exploit Russia just as they did during the Yeltsin years.
Me thinks Andrei Illarionov is probably a CIA asset. A low-rent anti-Putin propagandist. He should have remained a used car salesman; that profession suits him better.
