BREAKING: Network Solutions Driving VDARE.com to the Dark Web?

This is very serious—if you do not take action, you may no longer be able to read VDARE.com very soon.

This Monday, June15th, Network Solutions, our domain name registrar, suddenly gave us 10 days’ notice of its intention to terminate our account, after some 20 years. It gave no specific reasons beyond alleged violations of its Acceptable Use Policy, but said “we consider your continued use of our services a serious issue and risk to our business and corporate reputation.”

What does this mean and what can you do?

A domain name registrar handles the reservation of web addresses. Without registration, VDARE.com would be inaccessible on normal web browsers like Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge.

Thanks to our patriotic donors (join them here!), VDARE.com has pursued its mission of America First non-profit journalism unchangingly since we opened on Christmas Eve, 1999.

So why are we being kicked off Network Solutions now? Because the political environment has changed. The Left’s Reign of Terror is intensifying. It is desperate to keep the immigration issue out of public debate until it succeeds in Electing A New People.

Network Solutions is only the most recent example corporate complicity in the suppression of Free Speech across America. But it’s perhaps the most shocking. To my knowledge, withdrawal of registrar services has never happened to a site as mainstream as VDARE.com.

Moral: No-one is safe.

No access to VDARE.com?

Of course, we’re fighting back. We will never kneel. Our lawyer has challenged Network Solutions. And my team and I are actively searching for an alternative registrar solution. We hope we will find one. But we know it is likely only a matter of time before the new company caves under Antifa pressure, too.

In other words, it’s not impossible now that VDARE.com will indeed ultimately lose registrar services altogether. If that happens, you will NOT be able to access VDARE at the normal “VDARE.com” address!

Introducing the TOR browser: We hope we can find a way to avoid that. But we do urge you to prepare for this terrible day NOW.

If we fail to find a new domain registrar, the ONLY way you will be able to continue reading VDARE.com is via the “Dark Web”—using the TOR browser. But the connotations drawn from the moniker “Dark Web” are misleading.

TOR is an internet browser focused entirely on user privacy and security, protecting users from having their internet history analyzed for information based on interests and behavior. TOR is also the browser used to access websites that are not indexed by web search engines, not served by domain registrars or that are vulnerable to harm by autocratic governments and other bad actors. We suggest TOR to readers as a prudent workaround in this threatening time.

What with race and law enforcement being much in the news this month, you might think we’d see more reference to the most authoritative official statistics on the subject. Here are the latest FBI statistics on murder offenders by race:

At this point, 29.5% of 2018 murderers are of unknown race, whether because the case hasn’t been cleared yet or because the local agency didn’t get around to reporting the race to the federal government.

Of the 11,514 murder offenders in 2018 where the race of the offender is known by now, 6,318 of the offenders were black: 54.9%.

Blacks make up 13.4% of the population at present.

So, blacks in 2018 were 7.9 times more likely per capita to be murder offenders than the rest of the population.

Here’s how to do the arithmetic:

(54.9% / 13.4%) / ((100% – 54.9%) / (100% – 13.4%))

In recent generations, this black to all else homicide offender ratio goes up and down somewhat, depending upon what drugs are hot, the political climate, and so forth, but usually winds up a little under 8X. For example, in 2011 the Obama Administration’s Bureau of Justice Statistics reported that blacks made up 52.5% of homicide offenders over the 29 years from 1980 to 2008:

These stats would seem rather relevant to current discussions, but for some reason, the just never see to come up…

Jean Raspail Dies At 94: Lived Long Enough To Say “I Told You So”

Jean Raspail,  author of The Camp Of The Saints, a 1973 novel about mass migration destroying France and the West, has died at age 94. So far it seems to have only been reported in the French media, with headlines like Mort de Jean Raspail, écrivain et explorateur, auteur du «Camp des Saints», by Michaël Naulin, Le Figaro, July 13, 2020.

At the moment, when search Google News for “Raspail”, you get French death notices, and New York Times story, illustrated with a picture of presidential aide Stephen Miller, titled A Racist Book’s Malign and Lingering Influence, by Elian Peltier and Nicholas Kulish, NYT, November 22, 2019.

Miller and GOP Congressman Steve King are alleged to have read Raspail’s book, and to have pointed out—correctly—that it was prophetic, and that’s a bad thing, according to the NYT, which is in the business of deciding what’s not fit to print, and suppressing it. (Their story is in the “news”, rather than Opinion section of the paper.)
