Having briefly worked for the BBC in the early 80’s in the aftermath of the Scarman report on the 1981 Brixton riots I found this interview interesting. I’ve long regarded the Conservative government’s capitulation in the face of Lord Scarman’s report as a watershed moment. The moment when the rot really began to set in and was the genesis of todays ‘Woke’ culture in the BBC.
The interview was posted on YouTube on 1st March and although there were some early signs that the BBC was willing to “treat with the government” the arrival of the coronavirus and subsequent lockdown has seen the Corporation return to its position of antagonism towards the Conservatives - to the extent that it appears intent on playing its part in overthrowing the government and, even at this late stage, overturning Brexit.
