Chertoff Recommends Cyber “Manhattan Project”

News.com reports that:

“Risks from cyberattacks are increasing and the consequences are so great that the country needs a “Manhattan Project” for network security, Michael Chertoff, secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. The government needs the “best and brightest…”

Why doesn’t Chertoff just bring in a bunch of Indians, Chinese, and Israelis on H-1b visas?

Oh, wait… he is:

“The Department of Homeland Security stepped up to the plate Friday for corporate H-1B visa interests as it changed immigration rules without notice to allow employers to hire an unlimited number of foreign students majoring in science, technology, engineering and math to work in the U.S. for 29 months after graduating with a bachelor’s degree or higher — longer if an H-1B visa is pending — provided they studied in the States for one academic year under an F-1 visa and their employer enrolls in the Department’s e-Verify program. ‘This rule will enable businesses to attract and retain highly skilled foreign workers, giving U.S. companies a competitive advantage in the world economy,’ said Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff in justifying the change, which the DHS made without notice or comment by exploiting a ‘good cause’ exception that allows procedural rules to be bypassed to prevent ‘serious damage to important interests.’ In explaining its motivation, the DHS cited testimony by Bill Gates (‘I don’t think there should be any limit’) as well as the Task Force on the Future of American Innovation, which counts major H-1B stakeholders Google, IBM, Intel, and Microsoft among its members.”

Who deleted the entry by onlooker?
haramzada you don’t seem annoying to me but a knowledgeable individual. I see you don’t get humor? Since the poster tried to talk “negative” about Indians and this visa, i wanted to tick him off by posting it…don’t know if it worked.

I deleted the post by onlooker because it was a link to an off-color comedy routine which would be considered obscene by many.

be afraid, very afraid, of Al-Qaeda’s cyber weapon of mass destruction because it could be anywhere on the web, it could even be hiding inside an e-mail whose title is “Do you want a bigger penis?” The government has to take control of the internet because otherwise the terrorists will win.

Seriously this reminds me of William Pierce’s broadcast about internet hate legislation hearings in the Senate.

listen to this

text version here:

http://www.natall.com/free-speech/fs9910b.html

Rabbi Abraham Cooper referred to the Internet as a “terrorism tutor” and implied that a substantial part of the violence in American life is the consequence of permitting “hate” on the Internet.

and then think about Chertoff’s BS about cyber attacks

And where do you think the Manhattan Project scientists came from?  People like John von Neumann, Edward Teller, Enrico Fermi…  Off the cuff, J. R. Oppenheimer is the only major American-born contributor who comes to mind, and some MR readers might question HIS American credentials.

Even the philo-Semitic Wikipedia states:

On the evidence of the decisive experiment on December 17, 1938 (the celebrated “radium-barium-mesothorium-fractionation”), Otto Hahn concluded that the uranium nucleus had “burst” into atomic nuclei of medium weight. This was the discovery of nuclear fission.

The question of whether the atomic bomb would have been developed in the absence of those “scientist” immigrants apparently never comes to mind, even though all the science for atomic energy had been an accomplished fact years before the start of the Manhattan Project.

The reality is that the Manhattan Project was an engineering project, and the contribution of the immigrant “scientists” was minimal.

The real problems related to the engineering of high volume concentration of fissionable isotopes.  One might make a case that there was some “science” involved in the determination of the precise critical mass of U and Pu fissionables, but those were mainly empirical exercises, the most decisive experiments of which had been accomplished prior even to Daghlian’s death let alone Slotin’s during criticality experiments—both of which were quite unnecessary.  Those later experiments were mainly for economizing on the use of fissionable materials—not for the production of nuclear weapons that would put an end to the Pacific conflict (assuming such were necessary).

In any case, the ultimate “sharing” of nuclear weapons secrets with the Soviets by the immigrant “scientists” was precisely the kind of risk to homeland security I’m pointing out in Chertoff’s certifiably insane behavior (perhaps being explicable by some Indians being in the possession of videos of Chertoff being gang-sodomized by black studs).

James Bowery, what do you make of Yggdrasil’s post about the struggle for control of The Bomb?

Fascinating.  I hadn’t heard about the origin of the AEC before but it makes perfect sense that a weapons technology that is virtually optimal for destroying the key Jewish extended phenotype of centralized wealth would be the object of a titanic struggle for control exceeded only by the struggle for control over centralized media technology that occurred with the great migration from East European Jews to America just after Edison’s invention of the motion picture projector.

This lends support to a theory I have toyed with—that the Cuban Missile Crisis was largely an attempt by our own military to destroy American cities because there was some realization that the enemy had hijacked our civilization and was about to do us in if we didn’t get its strongholds within our borders first.  After all, they had taken an oath to defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic—and had experience with the targeting of civilian populations during strategic bombing.
